Good for Sailing Junkies but not for the masses.......2005-07-28

The DVD Alinghi is more like an edited home video than an in depth documentary of the Cup Run. Those who can't get enough of wonderful sailing images and some great on the deck looks won't be dissapointed; however, if you are looking for a sophisticated look at the America's Cup journey this is not for you. Without spliced in segments from TV coverage this video would have earned a 2-3 stars. Perhaps its greatest strength is in the folly that became New Zeland's pathetic attempt at a defense and a great clip of the infamous NZ demasting... May be a little overpriced for what you get but entertaining nonetheless.

Like all independent documentaries, "Inside The Tale of The Fox - The Eric Carr Story" suffers from the absence of "official" material - namely, Kiss music and Kiss footage (even if some Kiss interviews are included). But then, considering how poorly Eric is featured in all of Kiss' documentaries (you can never hear his voice, for instance), this video more than makes up for it. And it does include commentary from Eric's parents, Kiss' original manager Bill Acouin, Kiss' former guitar player Bruce Kulick and his brother Bob Kulick (who replaced Ace Frehley in a few studio recordings) and Cinderella and Slaughter members. A lot of Eric's private video and home films are also included. If you're an Eric Carr fan, you certainly won't be disappointed. If you're a Kiss diehard fan, you'll also want this documentary. By the way, the DVD edition includes four Eric Carr audio recordings.

I had bought this dvd, 'cause it looked interesting... But it isn't. It talks only about john, the other members are mentioned maybe three or four times... It doesn't talk about their private life and it is full of mistakes. You won't discover nothing new... No revealed secrets, no interesting interviews.

Personally, I don't think the item is useful for a bon jovi fan because we already know what is said.
Moreover, i regret having bought it because it's a waste of money i think!

I'm a huge Bon Jovi fan and have nearly everything they've done on tape or DVD, but this DVD was pretty damn lame. I have to echo everything said in the last review. You know it's going to be pretty bad when they have a disclaimer at the outset that it's unauthorized and that no music played in the video is from the band. There is little footage of the band and most of the footage is poorly filmed interviews with people of little importance or consequence to the band. Their observations are truly laughable. Don't waste your money, this is the worst.

I received mine as a gift. In one word SUCKS. Save your money or if you feel like wasting money give it to a charity. This DVD is just some company trying to get your money using Bon Jovi to do it. Don't let them. This DVD is not even worth 1 star.
