Following the successful 1998 video release of Cats comes another Andrew Lloyd Webber blockbuster musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and it's a savvy choice. It hasn't been represented on film before, it's short enough (78 minutes) to present without cuts, and it has the star power of former teen icon Donny Osmond, who played over 1,800 performances across North America. Rather than record a live performance, Cats director David Mallet conceived Joseph as a film, though one that is based strongly on codirector Steven Pimlott's 1991 London revival and relies more on camerawork than venturing beyond its stagelike sets.
Lloyd Webber's first project with lyricist Tim Rice was originally written in 1968 as a school cantata; accordingly, this film uses a framing sequence of a school recital, with an audience of clapping, singing kids and members of the faculty playing the roles. The Old Testament tale of Joseph and his coat of many colors gets a splashy, vigorous treatment with an energetic cast, Las Vegas-style glitz, and catchy, eclectic songs, including "Any Dream Will Do," "Close Every Door," the peppy "Go, Go, Go Joseph," and various bits of country, calypso, and Elvis. Osmond is perfect in the title role, with a strong voice and winning persona, while London stage veteran Maria Friedman performs well in the central role of the narrator. Richard Attenborough appears (and sings a little) as Jacob, and Joan Collins makes a brief, nonsinging cameo.
Joseph certainly isn't revolutionary musical theater, but if you view it as a kids' show, it's a silly good time (though there are poignant moments too). Parents should note, however, that this production might warrant a little discretion due to one suggestive scene and some risqué costumes. --David Horiuchi
Customer Reviews:
terrific!.......2007-06-18
my kids and I have viewed this MANY times since we received it. my only complaint is the variability in sound quality - very hard to hear the first part.
Donny is awesome ... and that's pretty much it........2007-05-23
Make sure you read the Amazon Ediorial Review of this product before you buy it. This is not a typical stage production of this musical. Instead of filming a live stage production as it was performed, it was filmed more like a movie. This is not a negative part of my review, just one to be aware of.
Donny Osmond's does a fabulous job as Joseph, which is the main highlight of the DVD.
I didn't rate it more than three stars for two main reasons. The sound quality is very poor, for one. However, my main complaint is risque Potiphar scene. I was warned beforehand and watched that scene before allowing my kids to. I'm glad I did, because I'd never want my kids to see that scene. The costumes the women wear make them look naked. I bought the DVD because my kids and I are doing this musical at our church and because I have always loved Joseph's story. Yet I'm saddened that Hollywood had to make something Biblical into something so risque that no child should ever see. Potiphar's wife did try to seduce Joseph, so I have no problem with telling that part of the story. It just doesn't have to be portrayed the way it was in this DVD.
Not Appropriate Family Entertainment.......2007-05-15
Let me start by stating this is perrenial favorite of mine. I've attended several productions of this from Tuacahn to high school productions. My daughters drove me nuts playing the soundtrack. I finally broke down and bought the DVD.
Let me also state that we have high Christian standards. This did not meet those standards. My wife and I both flinched several times while viewing this version.
Some of the costume are very risque' and some of the behaviors are very inappropriate. The Potipahr's wife scene was just short of brazen nudity and overly sexual.
The narrator was not up to the caliber of other performances I've seen and Richard Attenborough did a mediocre job as Jacob. Donny Osmond played Joseph well and continues to deliver the level of vocal performance he was known for in the 70's.
I liked the sets and the creativity, although a 'for film' version would have been nice.
The sound was poor. We had to adjust it several times during our viewing, especially in the beginning.
Minus one star for inappropriate material. Minus one star for poor sound. My wife and I rate this at PG-13, drifting slightly towards R.
The Best .......2007-05-14
This is the best version of Joseph ever. The DVD is almost as great as the live performances!
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.......2007-05-13
We had this movie before and wore it out watching it. I had to buy another one. It is still the best movie I have seen in a long time. Wish I had seen it in person.

The first three Wallace & Gromit shorts are grouped together in a single volume.
A Grand Day Out
Nominated for an Academy Award in 1990, this was the first short-film adventure starring Wallace & Gromit. This 24-minute comedy was created by clay animator Nick Park over a six-year period at the National Film and Television School in London and at the Aardman Animation studios, which Park boosted to international acclaim. In their debut adventure, Wallace and his furry pal Gromit are planning a vacation, but first they've got a crisis to solve: they've got plenty of crackers but no cheese! Undeterred, Wallace comes up with an extreme solution to the cheese shortage: since the moon is made of cheese (we all know that's true, right?), he decides to build a rocket and blast off for a cheesy lunar picnic! Gromit's only too happy to help, and before long the inventive duo is on the moon, where they encounter a clever appliance that's part oven, part robot, part lunar skiing enthusiast... Well, you just have to see the movie to understand how any of this whimsical lunar-cy can make any sense! It's a grand tale of wonderful discoveries, fantastic inventions--and really great cheese!
The Wrong Trousers
Clay-animation master Nick Park deservedly won the 1993 Academy Award for Best Animated Short for this 30-minute masterpiece, in which the good-natured inventor Wallace and his trusty dog, Gromit, return for another grand adventure. It all begins on the morning of Gromit's birthday, when Wallace gives his beloved pooch a rather selfish gift that (to Gromit's chagrin) is more useful to Wallace--a pair of mechanical "techno-trousers" ("ex-NASA," says Wallace, duly impressed) that can be programmed to take Gromit out for "walkies" while Wallace sits comfortably at home. Gromit's not exactly thrilled with the new gadget, and things go from bad to worse when Wallace rents a room to a new boarder--a rather suspicious-looking penguin--to offset his rising expenses. As it turns out, the penguin's a notorious thief, and the amazing techno-trousers provide a foolproof method of pulling off a diamond heist! It's Gromit's big opportunity for canine heroics, and The Wrong Trousers turns into one of the funniest, most inventive caper-comedies ever made, with an action-packed climax on a speeding miniature train. Will the notorious "Feathers" wind up in jail, where he belongs? Will Gromit finally get his due recognition? Watch this amazing marvel of clay animation to see why Wallace & Gromit have become global celebrities--this is comedic ingenuity at its finest.
A Close Shave
Hot from the international triumph of The Wrong Trousers, clay animator Nick Park knew that his third Wallace & Gromit film was going to have to be the biggest and best adventure yet for the mild-mannered inventor Wallace and his perceptive pooch, Gromit. With the ambitiously zany plot of A Close Shave, Park and his fellow animators rose to the occasion, and their film won the 1995 Academy Award (Park's second Oscar) for Best Animated Short. This time out, Wallace & Gromit have teamed up to provide a window-washing service, and that's how Wallace meets the lovely Wendolene Ramsbottom, a wool-shop owner whose malevolent dog, Preston, turns out to be the mastermind of a sheep-napping scheme! Of course, no Wallace & Gromit adventure can be without a grandiose gadget, so Wallace's latest invention is the Knit-O-Matic, a yarn-making machine capable of shearing a whole flock of sheep just a bit too efficiently! When the villainous Preston gains control of the mechanical knitting marvel, Gromit must race to the rescue, and A Close Shave reaches new heights of clay-animation mastery. Every shot is a testament to Nick Park's patience, his clever ingenuity, and his filmmaking flair. The movie's so technically impressive, in fact, that the whole world wondered where Park could go next. It was clear that Wallace & Gromit would eventually star in an animated feature-length movie, since this marvelous 30-minute film represents its own kind of short-form perfection. --Jeff Shannon

J. Lee is referring to the *new* release, Wallace and Gromit in Three Amazing Adventures.
This is the original 2000 release, Wallace & Gromit, the First Three Adventures. This is the version you want.
Not too cheesy!.......2007-05-16
These early Wallace and Gromit shorts have an old-fashioned claymation charm. The first film in particular looks a little rough. Wallace and Gromit (the silent but extremely expressive dog) are very charming characters, indeed! Wallace has an obsession with cheese and with building machines to perform the most mundane chores. The plots are very clever and bizarre, from vacationing on the moon (to sample the cheese, of course) to inventing a pair of mechanical trousers to walk a dog, only to find that a shady new boarder (a silent and sinister penguin, of course) has a clever criminal use for them. The stories are full of delightful surprises and punny humor. It's fascinating to watch the making-of clips to see how painstakingly these films are put together. It gave me an appreciation of these films as truly an art, from the hand-painted sets to the classic film stylings. One of my favorite features of the DVD is a series of minute-long shorts featuring Wallace's many overly complicated inventions, bizarre and very funny! The creator of the characters apparently loved inventions himself, and animation allows him to "invent" the impossible and make it work. Overall, very charming movies/DVD. I did see "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" first which I love, so in comparison to that perfect little piece of cinema, I only give 4 stars out of 5. My 3 1/2 daughters love these films, by the way, especially Gromit and the little touches of slapstick.
Entertaing family fun.......2007-05-07
As the title says the incredible adventures of Wallace and Gromit. This is a fun show for the whole family, plus it keeps the small children entertained and happy.
A must........2007-03-28
If all you know is "The Curse of the Ware Rabbit" you are missing the best of W & G.
Excellent short stories of Wallace and Gromit.......2007-03-11
This DVD contains 3 short stories of Wallace and Gromit plus a series of about 10, 2 minute skits. All are from years before the Wallace and Gromit movies and while they are not as "polished" as the movie, they are just as good. Two of the short are excellent, while one, the first one, it not up to the same standard but still good. The short skits are very funny. Great for kids when you don't have time for a full movie.

Jackass Number Two could be alternately titled " From Bowties to Bunny Ears: What Will Chris Pontius Be Wearing Next?" Like the first Jackass movie, Johnny, Bam, Chris, Steve-O and the gang are all here. This "sequel" is full of stunts, pranks and one-liners, and contains more defecation, more male nudity, more scream-worthy moments and of course more uncontrollable laughter. The film opens with a rather well directed cinematic piece: the entire Jackass gang running from a stampede of bulls. From there it takes off into the hysterically exhausting world of Jackass. The bulls are actually in quite a few stunts, one of which has "leader" Johnny Knoxville using himself as a red flag, and getting spearheaded by a charging bull. Ah, good times. Some of the stunts include: "Beehive Limo", "Fart Mask", "Red Rocket" and a fake terrorist plot which boasts the improve line, "Where I'm going, I don't need luggage." Bam gets branded, they fish for sharks with Steve-O as bait, Johnny catches Anacondas with his bare hands, the list goes on. The gem in this collection of antics has to be the offensive interactions with the innocent people on the street by Johnny Knoxville and director/actor Spike Jonez, while disguised as a very old man and woman. Celebrity guests partaking in stunts include extreme sports legends Tony Hawk and Mat Hoffman. The movie culminates in a beautifully choreographed, fantastical and dangerous musical number not to be missed. Throughout the movie it is apparent that the Jackass gang is older and a little more worn, especially when Bam pleads, "Please God, don't let there be a "Jackass 3". For fans of the TV series and the films, a trilogy may be just what the doctor ordered. The DVD extras (deleted scenes, unrated material and two pretty funny music videos) are more of the same and worth the watch, though some of it is not for the faint hearted. --Rachel Moss

and other REALLY bad ideas.
Customer Reviews:
A guilty pleasure for my "child within".......2007-06-30
Ok, this movie is pointless, stupid, violent, at times very gross and shows alot of skin and is alot of fun. I really like the jackass movies even at my age a man in his early 40s. It really does bring out the "child within" and adolscent side of an adult that can be alot of fun. They do the things that you were afraid of doing when you were their age and getting hurt. Yeah, you can watch the movie, do the things that they are doing (in your mind) and you are not the one that is getting hurt or making a fool of himself. What a bonus!!!! LOL Ok, seriously this movie is alot of foolish fun. See it as such when you view it and never take it seriously. I will say that you should watch the special features "outtakes and deleted scenes" because there are alot of stunts that are not shown in the movie plus some good frontal male nudity to boot. I highly recommend this movie to anyone that really likes to cut loose within thier own home safely on the couch and likes to laugh their butts off!!!!
Two goes too far..........2007-06-23
I dunno I just don't think watching people do permanent damage to their friend's bodies is all that amusing. Seems like Jackass on MTV (and the first movie) had more clever pranks while this one was more about inflicting pain and damage. I'll admit that I turned it off at the point Steve-o did a sort of reverse beer bong, so maybe it picked up after that point...but that didn't seem likely.
Insane.......2007-05-30
Bought for a 14yo teenage boy who screeches with laughter every 5minutes. Not my cup of tea watching grown men make complete arses of themselves.
POSSIBLY THE FUNNIEST FILM IN CINEMATIC HISTORY!!!.......2007-05-27
I'm not even remotely a fan of Jackass but I had watched the first movie, and when I was going to see number two I kept thinking there was no way these guys could out do themselves with this one. Man I was so wrong.
This movie had me laughing so much I had to take asprins because I had gotten a headache. There are to many parts in this movie that had me rolling all over the floor (especially the switcharoo in the bed, the small toilet, bad grandpa).
I'm even compelled to say this movie could even be the best sequel to date since Godfather Part 2.
Well don't take mine or anyone else's word for it, go and see it.
WARNING: DO NOT EAT ANYTHING BEFORE AND DURING THE MOVIE.
Surprise! 'Jack'(a--)-in-a-Box.......2007-05-11
Seeing the previews on a review show, `Jackass 2' looked like a barrel of fun. I saw stuntmen propelled in the air for "Fire hose Rodeo," skiing down a stairwell with artificial snow, and a mini loop motorcycle stunt. What I was expecting was `Candid Camera' meets "X"-treme sports novelties. What I mainly got was a "hybrid"* of 'Fear Factor'. I was misled.
Favorably, it all starts out with a bull run that is harrowing and impressively shot. Later, one of the best scenes is a Hollywood movie parody. (Even though there's no plot, per say, the scene is so impressive, that if you must see it, I wouldn`t dare spoil it for you.) In their defense, they certainly are inventive with every stunt they pull.
Then, it gets morbid. Sight gags with snake bites, stunts with shattered glass, and leeches shown to host on a man's "private parts" and his eyeball are definitely an acquired taste. In one scene, a "phallic" image is branded to one stalwart's b--t. To ensure authenticity, they have to show the blood afterwards with participants writhing in pain and onlookers laughing--like it were `The Three Stooges' gone `Gladiator`. (I don't remember laughing at people getting hurt since I was six, but, maybe, it's just me.) Granted the stunt men are professionals and their caveat--to paraphrase, "Don't try this at home, kids--" is amply posted, but I didn`t find it entertaining. Male b--t shots, feces, vomiting, and actors dressed as elderly people with fake genitals hanging out of garments are the obsessive bill of fare presented. (To their credit, their inventive hijinx is only fractionally represented here.)
I felt like I had entered an impressive carnival and left a freak show that mainly made me feel queasy.
"Let the buyer beware?" Maybe. Not asking for a refund, I, nonetheless, would like other thrill seekers to make an informed decision before entering this circus tent.

Customer Reviews:
Claymation Rules!.......2007-01-04
Claymation walks the line between two-dimensional animation and real-world, three-dimensional stuff. And a delightful interface it is too. Wallace and Gromit are about as charming a twosome as anyone could dream up. That they are oh so British to boot only adds to the pleasure of watching the stories unfold. If you have seen a bit of claymation and what it can do or you are just curious to see what the buzz is all about, this collection is a great place to start. You get several different stories to play with and they are just as much fun the second time around. Very creative stuff indeed!
NLopez.......2006-11-10
I enjoyed them both, and I recommend them to those who enjoy what Wallace & Gromit do. But I felt that it wasn't as good as Chicken Run, which I also own, I think They needed a better story line up to the standard that was used in Chicken Run. Still I look forward to what else They will attemp to do.
highly recommended.......2006-08-27
An excellent set--with one purchase you can own all the Wallace and Gromit features.
Gives Cheese A Good Name.......2006-04-04
Gromit, faithful, sacrificing, long-suffering pet dog of inventor extraordinaire and cheese freak, Wallace, solves the mystery of the Were-Rabbit, and along the way we laugh our heads off. Frankly, I don't want to know how they animate these films, how they produce the subtle facial and body expressions of the characters, how they come up with the outrageous, delightful story lines, or how they write the double entendre dialogue that plays perfectly for children and adults alike. It would spoil the fun of falling into the weird world of Wallace & Gromit. This bizarre and hilarious film is complemented in this boxed set by "Three Amazing Adventures" (my favorite being about a trip to the Moon to have a vacation devoted totally to cheese -- green, of course) and 10 shorts that focus on Wallace the Inventor in all his glory.
It's worth it to own the DVDs, because there is so much going on that you could not hope to catch all the jokes, visual and verbal, the first, or even the second time around.
It is perfectly clear why "The Were Rabbit" won an Oscar this year. Truly entertaining!
Be warned - Were-Rabbit is Fullscreen in boxed set!.......2006-03-18
This would have been a five star review if the fact that the feature (The Curse of the Were-Rabbit)was panned & scanned (full screen)would have been mentioned in the title.
Both the feature and the shorts are great Wallace & Gromit fun. Were-Rabbit is the best yet, and it even had some twists that I wasn't expecting. In the tradition of the Muppets and Loony Tunes, Aardman has peppered adult in-jokes in with the all ages fun, so Mom and Dad will stay interested and the kids won't get it for years.
As with Chicken Run, the focus of the commentary is on how long each shot takes to make. Yes, claymation is time consuming. We get it.
Recommended for people who do not want a wide-screen presentation. I'm giving my copy to my In-Laws.

What every good would-be mayor needs is a granny from the hood! A pious, church-goin' widow and grandma, Grace (Mabley) hasa mouth that could take on the devil himself, and the resolve to smack down an even bigger evil: politics! When she learns that her neighbor, mayoral candidate Welton (Moses Gunn), is nothin' more than a white man's pawn, she takes him under her wing and hits the street as his campaign manager! Nowthe blue-blood establishment has a no-nonsense, go-get-'em granny to deal with in a battle for the Baltimore vote!
Customer Reviews:
Moms Mabley Was Awesome.......2005-10-12
I have heard of Moms Mabley but never got a chance to see her comedy until I watched Amazing Grace. The DVD was excellent and Moms Mabley comedy was off the hook. I strongly recommend the DVD
I Love It!.......2004-11-24
I saw this movie on cable a while back and I just laughed myself to the ground. Let me explain this movie; A older lady(Ms Moms Mabley herself, who was a gem and is gone now, but if u was around back in the day, u know what I mean); just happens to live next door to this shady politician(Moses Gunn), who if elected, will take the money slated for that area and use for his own "uses". Somehow, Moms has this fella(Slappy White) who helps her out in her shenanigans by putting up elaborate spy systems so they can hear the politician's business. After his high faluting wife(Rosalind Cash, who was as much a gem and gone too)puts on airs with Moms and some of the neighborhood women, Moms give her something to cry for and she and her husband in time, see the light to turn things around. Folks, this is one good movie; a bit disjointed at times, but you can catch the message just the same; Look for bit parts by Debbie Morgan and some others who are prominent now.
A hidden treasure!.......2003-09-09
This movie is a true hidden gem. The footage justs takes you back and makes you feel as if you were back in '75. Definate feel good movie.
Amazing Grace.......2003-07-04
Fantastic! What a wonderful movie, blending the old south with the movement of the times. It influenced me to buy it and add it to my collection of American movies.
The Swan Song of Moms Mabley.......2003-05-28
Lovers of the legendary Black commedienne Moms Mabley will treasure this film. In a way, it's about everything she stood for. She moves to Baltimore and gets involved when crooked politicans use a confused Black man (Moses Gunn) and his alcoholic wife (Rosiland Cash) as puppets in a phony race. Seventy-plus year old Moms steps in this mess and does her best to straighten things out! I dare anyone who remembers Moms to keep a dry eye when she gives her climactic speech to the students at Morgan State University (a real Black college in Baltimore). It's almost as if she were giving her own eulogy while still giving the students hope to fight for a better tomorrow (she had a heart attack during the filming and died shortly after it was released).
Admittedly, this is a very low-budget film with poor sound. But like I said, if you love Moms, you'll love this.

no one has mentioned..........2006-09-09
that this film contains nudity involving little kids!! the boys butt is shown as he gets out of the water.... i was 12 when i first watched this and my mom and little sister flipped out! diff ppl have diff standards but i think this is worth bringing up!
For Kids.......2006-05-30
I think all the people who reviewed this film have to watch it again from the prospective of a child. Of course the basis of the story isn't plausible, that is the fun of it. This movie is the epitome of a childs' dream adventure. When you are watching it remember that the movie isn't targetted towards adults, it is supposed to be this fantastic adventure where kids get learn things without parents and have an amazing time. So get over yourselves and look at the movie from a different point of view. I love this movie I challenge anyone to disagree with my prospective. Hope you enjoy!
Surprisingly Good.......2006-01-24
This movie is better than I expected. I thought it would be really corny and dumb. But it was really good actually.
The Chinese actors in this movie really are speaking Mandarin. A good friend of mine who is Chinese was watching this movie with me, and translated the Chinese dialogue for me. It was authentic and fit with the movie. For instance, when the girl Ling and her grandfather are arguing in the back of the tractor at the beginning of the movie, the girl is complaining about this spoiled brat white kid. The grandfather is telling her to be quiet. Then when the cart crashes, the grandfather starts complaining that they've got no respect for old people.
That nice little authentic touch, which was never translated on-screen, added a lot to the movie in my opinion. The only part my friend couldn't understand was when they went to the Tibetan village, because the people there were speaking Tibet dialect, not Mandarin. That just makes it more authentic.
The scenery for the movie is quite beautiful. They must have had to travel far from the cities of China to find such an unpopulated, beautiful place. Shots of the city were authentic also, but it is good that the movie didn't spend much time there.
Usually I like to take a movie and rip it to shreds, nitpicking each and every flaw I can find and criticizing it mercilessly. With this movie, I would rather not do that. Seeing a cute little baby panda happily running and stumbling along is a sight rarely seen, and is so cute that it makes me want to ignore anything that might be wrong with this movie otherwise.
When the mama panda gets trapped in the bear-trap, man that really makes you feel bad. To me it was an even worse feeling than when Bambi's mother died. Fortunately, it all turns out good in the end.
If only the same could be said for pandas in real life. Now I see why it is such a shame that there are so few of them left. Only 1,000 left? I hope the population has grown since this movie was made. It's been 10 years since then.
You know, cuteness rarely does it for me. Too much cute usually makes me gag. But the cuteness in this movie just won me over. Mainly because it is so authentic. A baby panda rolling off of a log and landing on its head just can't be faked, and it is extremely cute to say the least.
You can't watch the baby panda in this movie and feel nothing, unless you are just cold and dead inside.
In conclusion, this is a very good family movie. As another reviewer put it, it's a movie you can watch with your kids and actually not feel bored. Recommmended.
better to watch free willy again and again.......2005-11-17
As a rule, being in the child care field, I avoid all but a few of this type of movie and have to agree with the poor reviews of this film. If we are going to give our young people inspiring stories about kids doing their best to save endangered animals, we owe it to them as well as ourselves to do it in a plausible way. Free Willy is an example of a good execution of the genre. Flawed as it is in some respects, at least it approaches the subject much more realistically than The Amazing Panda Adventure. Never should children be expected to suspend disbelief so far as they must with this movie. Children are PEOPLE and they deserve much more respect than they get from hack job movies of this nature being made by filmmakers who have no idea what it means to truly reach a child's mind. If your child enjoys animals and wants to see what it is truly like for these animals, or they want to see an entertaining story about kids or anyone trying to do right by them, there are cable and satellite tv channels filled with much better shows and movies than this drivel. Zero stars
Amazingly Hackneyed.......2005-06-16
Boy this was awful. Really really bad. I think the scene that best embodies how unrealistic and moronic this film truly is, would be the one in which the two main characters (who are only about 14) find themselves covered with leeches, and so they spontaneously take off all their clothes and jump in a river, and then look SURPRISED that they've done so. Like they didn't realize that this was a stupid idea WHILE they were doing it. Now we get to sit and watch as the movie awkwardly bumbles its way through the "I'm a guy, you're a girl, we're accidentally naked" schtick. Just shoot me with one of those Panda tranq darts and put me out of my misery. Granted, this film did its job of keeping the kids I was with interested, but unlike most Disney films and other modern flicks geared towards young children, it had nothing to keep the adults even remotely interested. I think the reason that this movie takes place in Hong Kong, is because it's actually a form of ancient Asian torture. Avoid this like the plague. And if you have to choose, take the plague.

Jackass Number Two could be alternately titled "From Bowties to Bunny Ears: What Will Chris Pontius Be Wearing Next?" Like the first Jackass movie, Johnny, Bam, Chris, Steve-O, and the rest of the gang are all here. This "sequel" is full of stunts, pranks, and one-liners, and contains more male nudity, more scream-worthy moments, and of course more uncontrollable laughter. The film opens with a rather well-directed cinematic piece: the entire Jackass gang running from a stampede of bulls. From there it takes off into the hysterically exhausting world of Jackass. The bulls are in quite a few stunts, actually, one of which has "leader" Johnny Knoxville using himself as a red flag and getting speared by a charging bull. Ah, good times. Some of the stunts include: "Beehive Limo," "Fart Mask," "Red Rocket," and a fake terrorist plot which boasts the improv line "Where I'm going, I don't need luggage." Bam gets branded, they fish for sharks with Steve-O as bait, Johnny catches anacondas with his bare hands... the list goes on. The gem in this collection of antics has to be the offensive interactions with the innocent people on the street by Johnny Knoxville and director-actor Spike Jonez, while disguised as a very old man and woman. Celebrity guests partaking in stunts include extreme-sports legends Tony Hawk and Mat Hoffman. The movie culminates in a beautifully choreographed, fantastical, and dangerous musical number not to be missed. Throughout the movie, it is apparent that the Jackass gang is older and a little more worn, especially when Bam pleads, "Please God, don't let there be a Jackass 3." For fans of the TV series and the films, a trilogy may be just what the doctor ordered. The DVD extras (deleted scenes, unrated material, and two pretty funny music videos) are more of the same and worth the watch, though some of it is not for the fainthearted. --Rachel Moss
Description
Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O and the entire crew from the popular MTV franchise return in the most insane DVD of the year, jackass number two. Available in both rated and "too hot for theaters" unrated versions, jackass number two pushes the limits with all-new stunts, pants-wetting practical jokes, fun with bears, bees, snakes, bulls, sharks
and other REALLY bad ideas.
*with elements that remind one of the initials associated with Marquis de Sade.

The Amazing One in Action.......2006-02-24
A rare and totally enjoyable opportunity to see one of the masters at work.
You see the Amazing one do what he does best. He absolutely charms (most important) and then amazes his audience.
I am a little sad he actually tips some of the secrets and techniques...it takes away from the intrigue of not knowing.
Buy this DVD and be prepared to be entertained.
