The howling of wolves is downright chilling in Mandacy Entertainment's Cries in the Wild. Taking advantage of the superb audio of the DVD format, the program explores the ways animals communicate. They're a talkative bunch, ranging from meerkats to flamingos, and the photography is stunning to boot. Those looking for a wealth of bonus materials might feel a little shorted, but the trivia and information on endangered species are a nice way to cap a delightfully noisy look at the many voices of the animal kingdom. --Ryan Boudinot
