Tulips of Skagit Valley Washington

Editorial Review:
Description
Tip toe through the Tulips?...
Kings have been doing just that since the 16th century. Ottoman King, Suleyman The Magnificent is thought to be the person responsible for elevating an obscure wildflower in Turkey to it's presence of greatness today.
Centuries later, (circa 1930 A.D.) a transplanted Dutchman started raising the precious Tulip bulbs in the Skagit Valley of Washington State which possessed a mild climate, evenly distributed rainfall and fertile farmlands to provide an ideal environment for raising Tulips...as well as Daffodils and Iris.
In recent years the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival has taken on county fair proportions becoming a "Rite of Spring" for the entire region. Each April, hundreds of acres of blooming fields resembling a "colorful explosion in a paint factory" attract nearly a half million visitors.
Not only about the beauty, this dvd also takes a deep look at the hard work that goes into creating the magnificent Tulip flower, as well as the process of bulb farming...
In the fall - planting and fertilizing; in the spring - harvesting; and in the summer - bulbs are dug up to be cleaned, sorted and stored for replanting in early fall so that the cycle of bulb cultivation continues.
Also, a professional gardener show you how to plant Tulips in you home garden
