If you are a fan of this talanted singer, this is a must have dvd. Everyone knows that this gal can out sing her contemperaries, but what they may not know is that she is an amazing stage performer with great charisma and energy. Christina connects with her audience and displays a true love and commitment to her fans.This "Live in the UK" show is both emotionally moving and sexy. The many dancers add a wonderful element to the performance ,and Christina interacts with them tremendously.Don`t wait. Order this NOW.

When I think about Christina Aguilera I think the "Special One" the most underated artist out now. People get so lost and focused on her image that they forget about her VOICE and writing capability. I have to compare these two. When Mariah Carey first came out she was flawless. Excellent writing ability and Flawless voice. Now when she sings live her voice dryes out on the second verse and she looks like she struggling all the time and people hail her as the best female vocalist out.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! sorry you used to be now you have been dethroned and Christina took the crown. If you put Christina and Mariah singing live Christina would blow her right off the mic. If you watch this dvd Christina is the only artist who sounds better live than her studio recordings...who does that??? Her voice is powerful, strong, clear and flawless. This dvd should have came with a stamp because she stamped herself the best female vocalist out right now with her performances.

When she first came out she told an interviewer that she wanted to be one of the greats and now she accomplished that. Well done ChristinA!!

Big stuff from the massive lady.......2006-01-08

I desperately wanted to give this 4 or even 5 stars but I was ever so slightly disappointed by a few things. Christina is well known for her big voice. She has got to be way up there with Whitney and Maria and she really blares out these songs with great enthusiasm and power. However, when singing I couldn't help notice her total lack of emotion. There are some great artists out there who really deliver a great deal of emotion when they sing, such a Whitney Houston and Meat Loaf but, unfortunately Christina just isn't one of them. When she was singing `Beautiful' at the end of the show I really expected to see a tear in her eye but to my surprise, at one point she started to laugh and then gave a massive wave to the audience as if to say `look at me' with a gaping smile on her face. Emotion is one of the most important aspects of a live performance in my opinion because it allows the people who are watching and listening to actually feel the song and it takes it to a whole new level.

To my surprise Christina is also an artist that goes off stage every other performance to get ready for the next song. It's ok when you're watching it on DVD because there is no waiting but the people in the audience must have waited longer than she was actually on stage. This is more believable when you see some of the overblown costumes that she wears which must have taken hours to put on and prepare. This makes my respect for Christina go down ever so slightly because I like an artist that goes out onto stage and sings song after song without getting `ready' in between. Overall, however, I did enjoy the show and her voice just absolutely blew me away, so if it is her voice you're after then buy this.

The whole dvd is fantastic. My two favorites on the DVD are, "Back For More", done By Stephen Pearcy and his Ratt Bastards. The other is White Lion's "When The Children Cry" by Mike Tramp. Two of my all time favorite songs back in the day too! I wish Stephen Pearcy's group was on the CD too. What Happened?

really cool dvd.......2006-03-18

i've been a fan of these guys since the 80's. i love the fact that you can see and hear the songs done in a whole new light. acoustic versions of songs are my favorite way to hear them, and theis dvd showcases what great songs these actaully are. pearcy is awesome. as are la guns. and jani lane sounds amazing. i love this dvd and have watched it a dozen times already.

Judging by the title of this rather obscure little Asian film you are led to expect something entirely different than what is actually presented on the screen. Who wouldn't expect something highly pornographic in nature when they read the title `Virgin Stripped Bare by Her Bachelors.' It turns out to be nothing of the kind.

What you find yourself watching instead is a slow moving study in existential longing and alienation presented in a manner that Ingmar Bergman would be proud of. The film is shot in black and white, the season is winter. The trees are barren of foliage, the lake in the park frozen and the sky overcast and gloomy. The mood and atmosphere is so stark and minimal you almost expect to see Sven Nykvists' name in the closing credits.

Synopsis: Two attractive young people meet through a mutual friend which slowly turns into a meaningful relationship. The tale is told twice, first from the male perspective, then the female. This is definitely a love story of the mundane kind. It contains no exhilarating expressions of love or carefree emotional outbursts. The only brief moment of openly affectionate behavior between the two would-be lovers comes late in the film finally adding a brief but positive and uplifting note to an otherwise dreary relationship.

It took me awhile to figure it out the filmmakers intent, but I think I finally did. The message of the film is found in the cinematic mood, not the dialogue. The mood is the message. At two hours and six minutes in length that's an awfully long time to simply bask in the atmosphere of a movie. If not for the presence of the alluring beauty Eun-ju Lee as the female love interest I would've never lasted to the end.

Exotic dancers are being murdered and it's up to a cop (Eb Lottimer) to track down the killer. His prime suspect is a beautiful dancer named Shady (Maria Ford pre-boob job) whom he is also lusting after. Shady is caught up in the investigation as well as trying to hold off the sexual advances of some of her female coworkers. So the question is: is Shady killing these girls? There are a lot of topless scenes. This movie also features B-movie queen Debra Lamb doing a fire breathing act. Pretty good.

With the right attitude,this is a terrfic movie starring the absolutely lovely Kay Lenz. If you liked her in "Breezy", you'll like her just as much in this campy romp.

A maniac is killing strippers at a club..and the strippers won't talk to the cops. There is only one answer. The beauteous Detective Cody has to go undercover.Her partner talks her into entering an amateur contest.The winner,as measured by an applause meter, get a full-time job. She nervously does so,and then says to her partner, "But what if I don't win the applause meter?" "Sure you will!", says her partner. "All the guys will be there!"

The audience packed with hooting cops, Detective Cody is hesitant at first,but loosens up and finally brings it all home. But when she tries to perform in front of a real non-biased audience, she falters. The problem is that she is a gorgeous woman, but not a great stripper. But she works hard, watches others, practices, and learns from the other girls. Soon she is a star, and liking it more and more. She is..liberated! (Hey, it could happen. Right?) At one point, the cops think they've nailed the guy and she is pulled off the case..but she refuses to quit! Dedication to justice is a praiseworthy quality. When you see her final show, you will agree!

This is a well-made movie with good music, lots of stripping, some genuine humor and dialogue, an intriguing plot, and Kay Lenz (and friends) with no clothes on frequently. I'm ready for a sequel! A recommended gem...

Renting This Movie Is Cheaper Than Going To A Strip Club!!!.......2005-05-30

In this movie Kay Lenz, a detective, goes undercover as a stripper to catch a murderer. That's it. End of story. We see endless shots of Ms. Lenz's bare breasts and discover (Shock !!! Horror!!!) that she actually gets a kick out of stripping!!! Perhaps she could benefit from some Medication Or Therapy as the exploitation of women does not make a good movie in my opinion.This movie should appeal to all of the guys out there who are too cheap to go to a real Strip Club where you actually have to pay to see the dancers!!!

Produced by Roger Corman STRIPPED TO KILL is a stylishly filmed, trashily entertaining thriller. The story is pretty basic: Cop Officer Cody Sheehan (Kay Lenz) goes undercover as a stripper to catch the killer behind the deaths of several of its dancers; and soon finds she enjoys stripping. There is one creepy spectator in particular who is singled out as the suspect, could it be him? The strippers all use the usual creative names like Dazzle, Brandy, Cinnamon, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail who go about their biz while Lenz waits for the killer to stand up and pull his peter on her. Anyhow there are far worse movies out there. Like ZIPPERFACE.

funny, smart, moving...what more could you want?.......2006-03-01

I've seen this film several times and every time it's made me laugh...and cry. Director Jill Morley gives us honest-as-hell, fully rendered portraits of 5 dancers who emerge as funny, smart women dealing with different degrees of emotional damage. Along the way we meet the male characters that populate this world, from the illusion-free sweetheart who drives his "girls" to and from the clubs to the tipsy customer who tells Jill, "I would never sleep with a go-go dancer...I'd bleep her and go home!" A very entertaining and insightful film.

An intelligent film about a sometimes dirty profession.......2003-10-24

Since Jill Morley worked as a dancer she tells the true story of the profession. If you don't want to spoil the illusion or fantasy about women in this profession then this isn't the film for you. It is about women on the job and like most jobs some hate it and some love it but mainly they are there to make a living just like everyone else. This film is not about the titilation you get from most films on the subject but about real people with real lives. (Some of which are tragic.) So if you are interested in a truthful look behind the glitter this is for you.

Now I can hardly wait for Ms. Morley's next film which will be about the neo-burlesque movement.

Finally, a doc that tells the truth about strippers!!!

I used to dance, so this film really appealed to me. The women were sexy, fascinating, and intelligent. It was cool to see how articulate women view the industry.

Last year, I watched G-String Divas in horror! There was not one ounce of truth in it. Just a softcore service for its viewers. STRIPPED drives home the reasons why women dance, why it's soooo hard for them to quit and how it can be quite addictive in so many ways. Very moving and insightful.

Thanks for making a movie like this!!!! If anyone wants to be blown away by truthful storytelling abut this industry, BUY STRIPPED!
