5 out of 5 stars Simple Review.......2007-05-26

Outstanding Movie. The movie takes an inside look of how a woman can view herself through stages in a loveless relationship. The sex scenes gives the movie meaning to what some women call love. In the end, her true love she finds.

1 out of 5 stars Top 10 or top 5 ? (worst ones).......2007-03-25

One of the worst films ever. Absurd. The whole story.
In adition, tring to be an "important, deeply movie". Just pathetic. Don't even try to rent it, don't even try to talk about it. The sex scenes are awful too. Nothing to save, nothing to see, nothing...really, a full horrible experience.

1 out of 5 stars Being French does not mean you don't have to say your sorry.......2007-03-19

as the director and actors of this mess should, on their skinny french knees. Complete waste of film and your time. Not erotic, sexy (? was that actress really a woman?, was her boyfriend really a man? or visa/versa) Damned if I could tell. And that old man who tired her up, ya think he had enough rope? The movie was as clinicial as the gyno exam she went through. French people are not pretty, and this woman was not only NOT pretty, but she drifted through the entire movie in a coma. Even when she got screwed she looked like she was in a fog. Save you money and your eyeballs and buy some french fries and eat them on your porch for the same experience.

5 out of 5 stars The other side of Love.......2007-01-12

This is a pretty amazing movie, that does get graphic in nature and crosses the line in parts of what is art and what is not. Very good story in which Caroline Ducey goes out looking for love when her boyfriend, Sagamore Stevenin refuses to pay any attention to her. Caroline's character finds love in many different forms, men and means. From picking up a lover at a bar (Rocco Siffredi), to finding an older man into S&M, to having a quickie on a set of stairs by a total stranger (which I think is the best segment). A great film from Catherine Breillat. Also check out her 2003 masterpiece, 'Anatomy of Hell', which also stars Rocco Siffredi.

1 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware - Not What's Advertised.......2007-01-04

Don't know why my first note hasn't appeared, so I'll briefly restate. the claim-to-fame of this film is it's avant-garde, push-the-envelope sexuality. Amazon describes this film as "Unrated", but that's not what nearly all of these listings are selling. These are the new "R" Rated version that is MASSIVELY redacted. In fact, all of what makes this film famous has been reduced to some brief nudity. Even though the box continues to bill it as "The sexiest movie ever made." On top of that, despite an English only cover, my VHS purchase was subtitled in SPANISH. The seller has offered an adjustment. He didn't know. But Amazon needs to drop the 'Unrated' description, as that implies the original. Those still interested might look for something like a 'director's cut'. I still haven't found one. Sorry if this is a duplicate of previous post.

Description

Death is real, it comes without warning and it cannot be escaped. An ancient source of strength and guidance, The Tibetan Book of the Dead remains an essential teaching in the Buddhist cultures of the Himalayas. Narrated by Leonard Cohen, this enlightening two-part series explores the sacred text and boldly visualizes the afterlife according to its profound wisdom. Part 1: A Way of Life reveals the history of The Tibetan Book of the Dead and examines its traditional use in northern India, as well as its acceptance in Western hospices. Shot over a four-month period, the film contains footage of the rites and liturgies for a deceased Ladakhi elder and includes an interview with the Dalai Lama, who shares his views on the book's meaning and importance. Part 2: The Great Liberation follows an old lama and his novice monk as they guide a Himalayan villager into the afterlife using readings from The Tibetan Book of the Dead. The soul's 49-day journey towards rebirth is envisioned through actual photography of rarely seen Buddhist rituals, interwoven with groundbreaking animation by internationally acclaimed filmmaker Ishu Patel.

4 out of 5 stars 49 Days.......2007-06-30

Insider's look at Tibetans beliefs and death practices on this DVD. Some of the things you will learn; From selecting which astrological day would be best for your cremation, 49 Days of chanting a reciting from scriptures so that you have a good next life, feeding your remains to vultures so that you have better merit. Good one to watch.

5 out of 5 stars Great knowledge for life.......2007-06-11

I would recommend everyone to watch this and investigate on death. By investigating on death allows one to understand more about life.

5 out of 5 stars Book of the Dead.......2007-03-20

Tibetan book of the Dead. Lots of dead people and funeral pyres to look at. Difficult to watch.

3 out of 5 stars Interesting but slightly disturbing.......2007-03-13

I didn't enjoy seeing the dead being handled. I wasn't expecting that. It was interesting, except for that. I can't seem to get that nauseating feeling from my belly when I think of this cd.

5 out of 5 stars The Tibetan Book of the Dead for Dummies.......2006-10-29

I originally saw this video in McLeod Gange, India in a funky little theatre downstairs from a curry restaurant. It so impressed me I ordered the DVD after returning to the US and shared it with interested people baffled by the Tibetan Book of the Dead. This video explains general concepts and applies them in a very concrete way to death in two Indian villages. The effect is both intimate and educational and translates itself more clearly to Westerners through the comparative use of these practices in a hospice program in San Francisco. For anybody interested in Tibetan Buddhism in particular or world religions in general, I highly recommend it!

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Great story about a courageous woman..........2007-02-05

The story takes place in a middle class world of friends and family with average intelligence and no college educations among them. The main character (Julie) breaks out and away by moving into the academic world and her intellect becomes apparent. Resentment and alienation follows (especially from her blue collar husband). When her "attraction" to her best friend emerges, and they both act on their feelings, the alienation from their friends and families for both of them deepens; Julie handles it, the best friend can't. I wish the audience had been a little more "let in" all along on how Julie was feeling about her friend. The story involving everyone around them and how it effects them all is compelling; you stay interested in all of the characters. Interesting choice in Courtney Love, but she really pulls this off well. Lili Taylor is always great to watch, I LOVED her as a lesbian; very believable!

5 out of 5 stars A great movie with believable characters!.......2007-01-04

Why this movie never hit the big screen, I'll never know. Perhaps because Courtney Love was having problems by the time is was released, or most likely the reason is the subject matter - bisexuality. Lili Taylor plays a housewife who is unhappy in her marriage to a very chauvanistic husband and Courtney Love plays her best friend. Lili's character and Courtney begin an intimate relationship which gives her the strength to leave her overbearing husband, must to the unhappiness of her two adolescent children. Soon, their relationship becomes obvious to their friends, spouses, and children and the pressure begins to mount. Their children are teased about their mother's orientation, and Courtney, fearing the social ostracism that she is enduring, has to make a decision about whether to stay in the relationship or return to her own husband. The outcome is a bit of a surprise.

The acting by Ms.Taylor and Ms. Love is wonderfully convincing, with Lili Taylor's character being the stronger of the two, not because of actinig skills - Courtney showed her acting chops again, but because her character was simply written stronger.

This is a wonderful and thought-provoking movie. Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 stars A feast for Drama fans!.......2006-11-21

I'm no big fan of gay or lesbian films. I only bought this DVD bcuz I'm a huge Lili Taylor admirer. So i wasn't expecting very much from it. But while watching this movie I couldn't believe my eyes how great and touching this story was. I especially liked the scene with Lili and Courtney sitting in park, and yearning to touch each other but they couldn't do it and instead they touched themselves in their minds. Another great drama point was Courtneys and Lilis alienation because of Lilis high devotion to her studies. I highly recommend this DVD to anyone who loves great Drama. you won't be disappointed.

3 out of 5 stars Interesting.......2006-11-10

Julie Johnson for me was good but had more potential. Nice movie to rent but wouldn't rush out and buy if I had my time over. Liked the way it portrayed how it is possible for two close friends to fall in love and have a relationship but also how for one of the woman it was merely an experiment or phase. I did like the way Julie Johnson turned her life around and became the woman she always wanted to be and stood up to her husband.

4 out of 5 stars Well written and acted but plot suffers nevertheless.......2006-11-08

Not your usual depressing cheesy production value type lezbo vehicle that we're used to seeing, thank god for that. Pluses: Courtney is great, the characterization well thought out. The story is absorbing, well acted, but in the end its just another disappointment, ends left dangling and unresolved, not quite up to the hollywood standard. Minus: A downer overall...a little bit homophobic at times, as the womyn in it suffer from their own inner repressions/dialogues, etc. Still, it's better than most!

5 out of 5 stars Love it!!! .......2007-05-13

There are three Puff cartoons on this DVD. They all teach valuable character traits - confidence/courage, honesty and imagination. I loved them as a child and my sons (4 & 7 years old) love the stories too. They do not get tired of watching this DVD. The songs are great - I catch myself singing along!

5 out of 5 stars excellent condition.......2007-04-29

Bought this dvd for my nephew. We received it in excellent condition! Very pleased.

5 out of 5 stars Sweet memories.......2007-04-02

I think this is a very rare movie, since I went through a lot of effort to obtain it! I used to watch Puff the Magic Dragon in German when I was a kid and I am still facinated by it. The quality is excellent for such a rather old movie and what surprised me most is that there are actually THREE short movies on it, so I got to watch two movies of Puff that I had never seen before! This is really great for kids to watch (they can even learn a thing or two from it) and adults will also shout for more!

2 out of 5 stars Not a good choice for me.......2007-02-19

My child is 2 1/2 years old . She watched about 10 minutes into the movie and appeared to be quite frightened by some of the images. The story line appeared to be sensible but not one that a toddler will understand. At the end of the day I do not think the point of the story is what she remembers as much as she will remember the scarry pirate.

4 out of 5 stars Just as sweet as I remember!.......2007-01-16

I used to love this movie as a child, now my Goddaughter and I watch it together. This dvd has 3 different shows on it, all with a great moral!

Joshua Jackson adds another poignant role to his resume as he continues to distance himself from his breakthrough role as hapless Pacey Witter on the television series Dawson's Creek. In the sweet family drama Aurora Borealis, Jackson portrays Duncan, a twentysomething former hockey player who deals with the death of his father--10 years prior--by bonding with his grandfather Ronald (Donald Sutherland), whose own health is deteriorating due to the onset of dementia. Though others dismiss his rambling as the babbles of an old man, Duncan sees that however his grandfather may seem, he has moments of lucidity. His grandfather claims he can see the Aurora Borealis from his balcony, and who is Duncan to contradict him? Both share a sardonic and sarcastic sense of humor, as well as a feeling of guilt about their respective losses. While Duncan sees Ronald as a fairly strong man, his grandmother (Louise Fletcher) worries about her husband's obsession with guns. Duncan also develops feelings for his grandfather's free-spirited nurse Kate (Juliette Lewis), a development that surprises no one. Lewis has played similar roles before, but she brings such vivaciousness to her part that viewers can see why Duncan is smitten. She's emboldened to move forward and start a new life, while he's reticent to let go of the past and move toward the unknown. At one point, Duncan has to decide whether he can let go of his fears to try to make a future for himself with Kate. The film moves at a slow pace, but that actually works with the plot, since it mirrors Duncan's own hesitation. The acting all around is superb, especially in the interactions between Jackson and Sutherland. In the end, it doesn't really matter whether Ronald can see the Northern Lights. If he believes he can, then he can. And that's the kind of optimism that his grandson so desperately needs. --Jae-Ha Kim

Description

When he takes a job in order to be near his ill grandfather (Sutherland) and grandmother (Fletcher), he begins to find purpose. The newfound sense of being needed, plus a budding romance with Kate (Lewis), begins to change Duncan profoundly.

5 out of 5 stars Fine Ensemble Acting in a Quiet, Powerful Little Film.......2007-06-12

AURORA BOREALIS is a superb film by James Burke ('In Dark Places' and 'Tis a Gift to Be Simple') from a story by Brent Boyd ('The Green Room' and 'Crazy') and if this film is a sample of how these two fine talents collaborate, we can only hope for more. The cast assembled for this movie gives evidence that the actors deeply admire their vision: it is well deserved.

The setting is winter in Minneapolis, the hometown of the Shorter family: Grandfather Ronald (Donald Sutherland), Grandmother Ruth (Louise Fletcher), and the two grandsons Duncan (Joshua Jackson) and Jacob (Steven Pasquale). The boys' father died at age 39 (10 years prior to the opening of the story) and both boys grew up on their own, feeling deserted by a father who had been a cocaine abuser at one time. Duncan had been a champion hockey player, but when his father died his goals diminished and he has been in and out of odd jobs without a solid look at his future. Jacob runs a nursing home business and when he is not working, he is bringing his girlfriends to Duncan's flat for trysts. Duncan cares for his grandfather Ronald who has multiple illnesses (Parkinson's Disease, dementia) yet who maintains a humble life with Ruth. As Ronald's condition deteriorates, Duncan takes a handyman's job in the complex where his grandparents live and during this time the two men bond more closely than ever: Ronald's fading mind sees northern lights from his apartment window and Duncan out of love and growing understanding lets him believe they are real. Ronald is aware of his mental instability and lets Duncan know that he would like to take his life with a shotgun, an idea Duncan prevents.

Ronald and Ruth have a health care provider Kate (Juliette Lewis) whom they trust and love and encourage Duncan to seek out as a partner. Kate and Duncan date and fill the wide gaps in each other's personalities, yet when the opportunity comes for Kate to move to sunny San Diego, she is unable to make Duncan budge from his safe routine existence in Minneapolis. But as Duncan's resistance is broken down (he learns from a mentor that his father did not die of cocaine abuse, Ronald dies a natural death, etc), he views Kate as the person who can alter his outlook and his life.

Every member of this cast is extraordinary: Donald Sutherland creates a man eaten by Parkinson's Disease and dementia without ever becoming a caricature, Louise Fletcher reminds us how self-effacing her acting has always been, Juliette Lewis turns in one of her most sensitive roles, and Joshua Jackson finds every nuance of the troubled but needy Duncan and engages our empathy. Each of the smaller rolls is likewise pitch perfect, no doubt due in large part to the sensitive direction of Burke. It is so refreshing to watch a film as meaningful in message and in skillful acting as this, a movie that restores our confidence in film as art. Highly recommended. Grady Harp, June 07

4 out of 5 stars Great intergenerational film.......2007-05-14

Good film for younger and older adults. Many different stories going on within the movie which keeps people interested. Excellent acting.

4 out of 5 stars Better than I could have hoped for.......2007-05-11

I have to admit that I bought this movie because of my Joshua Jackson crush. I am happy to admit that this movie is so good! The acting in it is great, it is shot beautifully and the story line is engaging. I highly recommend this movie.

5 out of 5 stars A wonderful film about life and family..........2007-04-04

I just love this movie. The film isn't manipulative or preachy, it just tells a story and tells it well and manages to make you care about every single character, which is quite an accomplishment. This is James Burke's first film, and I hope he makes many more because he is a talent. He has quite a way with actors (he got a great performance out of everyone, even the smallest characters) and a great sense of tone and control. He also was able to balance the humor of the script with the pathos, and never make it feel forced.

The performances are subtle yet perfectly spot on, with the standouts being Joshua Jackson and Donald Sutherland. This is a true leading man role for Jackson, and takes him beyond just being "Pacey" into being a great, adult actor. Donald Sutherland is also a revelation, and their acting chemistry is fantastic.

If you like films about real characters and real emotions, you should see this movie -- you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Josh and Donald's best performance to date.......2007-01-30

I enjoyed this movie very much! Josh is a talented actor as well as Donald!

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful time period & topic, great actors, so-so history lesson.......2007-05-31

I first saw this movie when I was around 12. As with most kids that age, I knew nothing of the historical details. However, this movie so entertained and interested me that I went on to study the English Civil War in far more depth. The more that I learned, the less impressed I was by this film, and its woefully inaccurate abbreviation of history. Now, with degrees and graduate degrees to my name, and having spent time in England in the company of English Civil War re-enactors (one of whom wore and ORIGINAL 400 year old lobster-tail cavalry helmet!), I must credit this movie for helping to spark my subsequent historical interest. That alone is worth a five star rating. To have given justice to the subject of the English Civil War, this would have had to be a mini-series, and not a single 140 minute movie -- but such things were unknown in 1970.
Enjoy the movie for what it is, seek out some good histories to flesh out the details, and let's hope that we live long enough to see some talented and ambitious filmmaker do it right!

4 out of 5 stars Cromwell.......2007-04-19

'Cromwell' is about power, the movie depicts the struggle between
The Parliament and the King... that eventually starts the English Civil War.
King Charles is played superbly by Alec Guinness a thespian of the highest order- (King Charles)is an ineffectual and some may say a weak King, bringing the monarchy to its lowest ebb due to his indecision and the backing of the Catholic over the native Church of England (not Protestant but a REFORMED CATHOLIC church) amazing what we can learn at the movies!
Anyway... Cromwell's new army, wins the Civil war and the Parliment takes its new place at the head of the country.

Richard Harris is good, but somewhat over the top, as the brooding Cromwell, his voice is croaky and at times the Irishman looks all at sea! the musical score is average, well shot and framed... An excellent informing entertainment, a movie well worth watching.

4 out of 5 stars Does History Imitate Fun, or Does Fun Imitate History?.......2007-04-06

I caught this film in the middle on TV several years ago, and liked it so much I finally just had to see the whole thing. It's spellbinding! I'm sure liberties were taken with the actual history, but how many historical films *don't* do that? The gist is still there, and the characterizations are delicious--Richard Harris as a bombastic, larger-than-life Cromwell; Alec Guinness the saintly (in his own mind), unfortunate Charles I; Robert Morley the pompous Manchester. The cast members resemble their characters, and despite the almost Shakespearean delivery, there's no overacting going on. These guys are portraying major historical figures and doing it in a major historical way, and they make it pretty darn memorable too.

The only thing I really dislike is the soundtrack. The incidental music is dated, and some of the music integral to the plot, such as the choruses sung by the marching armies, isn't even in the same cosmos as what 17th-century people would have actually heard. That's why I took a star off, but it's not like it ruins the movie.

If you're interested in the English Civil War, you could do worse than see this film as an introduction. The actors bring the characters to life so vividly that when you read about them later on you'll be going, "Yeah, I *know* him!" For that alone, it's a great contribution, and it's just plain old fun in and of itself. Just be prepared to watch it all the way through, because you won't want to hit the pause button.

4 out of 5 stars Cromwell.......2007-03-14

Star studded film of excellant quality. Kept me interested all the way through. A nice easy way to revisit our history.

4 out of 5 stars simplified masterpiece.......2007-01-12

visually, this is a stunning film. and also a neglected topic. this period of history is usually dismissed for a variety of reasons, typically because Cromwell seems to modern sensibilities as a kind of Taliban-style leader, a moralistic monster, hell-bent on forcing his religious beliefs/moral outlook on a resistant populace. likewise, many of the Puritan leaders seem officious, overbearing and oppressive.
it's also all to easy to lose sight of this: much of Europe's then royalty supported each other to the detriment of their supporting subjects. also easy to miss is this is the time when national identities begin to assert themselves. for all the negativity that's usually been attributed to Cromwell, the man himself wanted nothing more than to return to the England of Elizabeth's time when national safety and security had been toally affirmed with the defeat of the Spanish Armada.
Charles Stuart, on the other hand, seemed the antithesis of all that.
what results is a study in democratic to and fro that reverberates down until today. impossible to forget, undeniably provocative and so ably acted by a tremendous cast. I felt so fortunate to acquire a film that I hadn't seen since it's original release.

"HELLBENT"
A Little Blood and Gore

Amos Lassen and Cinema Pride

This is a movie I have been waiting anxiously to see. It's a gay slasher movie. Should I repeat that?
"Hellbent" is one of the new kind of movies that we haven't had yet. We've had love stories and soap operas, heavy dramas and light comedies, detective stories and silly farces and now we can add a slasher movie to the canon of gay filmography.
I received a screener of the film from HERE! TV and I ran to the microwave to get the popcorn going and got ready to sit down and be amused or scared....whatever.
"Hellbent" is taglined as "when the night belongs to the Devil, the party goes to hell". The movie, to the contrary, does not go to hell. There is a lot of talent here even if the movie is not the success it was hoped to be. Whatever, I loved it. Directed by Paul Etheredge-Ouzts, "Hellbent" starts gushing blood in the opening scene. Two gays making out in a parked card are brutally beheaded. Their heads were obviously kept by the perpetrator. He was obviously starting a collection or else was just looking for head. (I know, that was bad).
The action occurs in Hollywood during the annual Halloween carnival. The costumes here are fabulous and flamboyant. Four gay buddies are stopped from having a good old time when they find out that have to fight for their lives to get through the night. And being that this is set in California, we can expect lots of drugs and lots of sex along with everything else the guys of California feel is necessary to have a good time. They obviously were not counting on the blood and gore.
Eddie (Dylan Fergus) is a young police officer who cruises a very good looking young stranger, Jake (Bryan Kirkwood) who is also a Marlon Brando clone. Then there is Joey (Hank Harris), who is young and virginal. We have our token drag queen Tobey (Matt Phillips) who is also a "sensitive underwear model". And where we would be without a bisexual cowboy, Chaz (Andrew Levitas).
At one time this could have been a low budget campy horror film. But today, it is our very own--we have infiltrated almost all film genre with the addition of this flick. There is no pretense here--what you see is what you get--no hidden meanings, no sneaky subplots, just a gay slasher movie. It is plain and simple; a total release from the doldrums of life. It isn't a great movie but it a good movie with its originality. It was produced to entertain and that is exactly what it does, I know I say this a lot but I'll say it again. This is one not to be missed.

1 out of 5 stars One star because it did give a 0 option!.......2007-06-06

I am doing research on lesbian films. And so far I have been completely let down with only a few exceptions, the best exception so far is Saving Face, I will explain.

It has been my experience watching "lesbian" films that in some way, shape, or form a man is involved before woman proclaims her lesbianism or after, as in April Showers. I do not know ANY lesbian who would sleep with a man. Even in the highly proclaimed lesbian film Go Fish a "lesbian" sleeps with a man. Its a disgrace and an insult to imagine that any lesbian would sleep with a man.

I have nothing against men, I have several male friends. But this seems like a male propaganda in order to change the face of lesbianism into "just waiting for the man arrive."

What's worse, is that a woman film maker would even consider making a lesbian film where the lesbian sleeps with a man.

These films are shameful and should never be in teh same category as lesbian films. They should be with the bisexual films.

1 out of 5 stars too has been.......2007-04-12

Unfortunatly the bad (actors) actresses make us forget the interest of the subject : the coming out and the fun of some situations.

3 out of 5 stars I've seen better..........2007-01-29

I rented this movie, and I'm glad I didn't spend too much on the rental. It was cute, and entertaining enough, but as someone who buys plenty of DVDs, I wouldn't have purchased this one. It had its moments, though, and I enjoyed watching it once, even though plenty of parts of it don't really make sense.

1 out of 5 stars What a wate of my time.......2006-12-16

Look, I'm used to movies like "Better than chocolate", "Listen", "Gia", Monster, series like "The L word", real good lesbian stuff. When I got this movie thinking it was a good lesbian drama, I was completly dissapointed. Boring, unrealistic, stupid... do not waste your time/money. The real lesbian of the movie ends up with a guy, and the main characters were so boring! oh god! I still regret I watched it. Hey, if you wanna see a lesbian movie that has never been properly discovered, buy "Listen", it's only a VHS version, but it's hot, great lesbian thriller... reminds me of Basic Instinct but better.

1 out of 5 stars April's wet blanket.......2006-11-30

I appreciate the effort. I really do. Especially from a woman filmmaker on a tight budget. I applaud the movie for that reason only. 1 star for effort!

But, honestly, aren't there any decent scripts and actors out there? Isn't there anyone willing to invest money in lesbian films? We are STARVED for anything half way decent, and will shell out some bucks on Amazon to get it. But I refuse to part with hard earned cash for something on par with the very bad "Bar Girls," which describes this movie to a T.

Unfortunately, this film gets one star from me because (a) it was completely unbelievable, (b) the pacing was terrible, (c) the acting was energetic, but not in the right places, and (d) I was bored.

A MUCH better low budget/made by women film is "Kissing Jessica Stein." Even "Go Fish" gets points for style (and 2 stars from me, although it DID have worse acting). Back to the drawing board! And don't ask for my money until you have something at "It's in the Water"-level or better.

3 out of 5 stars The Brotherhood IV: The Complex.......2007-05-14

The guys are hot, the music is pretty good. Even the acting is pretty OK.
The story line is still a bit weak, but it is so much better than the previous 3 Brotherhood. The locker room solo is sexy. The underground tunnel scene should go one step further, instead it gets cut. The ending is always the weakest part of all Brotherhood series.
Still I will watch it again soon.

5 out of 5 stars Another Great Brotherhood Film.......2006-09-16

Horror auteur David DeCoteau directs another classic installment of his Brotherhood franchise and this is a most welcome addition. A DeCoteau film has a look that is instantly recognisable for the beauty of the camera work and the dreamlike editing. He is also known for the beauty of the casts that he assembles to act out his eerie fantasies and he has really outdone himself with this group. The cast is headed by Graham Kosakoski and Sebastian Gacki. Kosakoski is a real discovery and a truly fine actor. He steals every scene he appears in and I hope David DeCoteau decides to break his own "only three films with me" rule and uses Kosakoski indefinitely. Kosakoski also appears in DeCoteau's KILLER BASH but only in a small supporting role. It would be a shame not to use his talent in many more pictures. The storyline returns to the original formula established in the first two films. The third episode may have lost the way a bit but we are back in traditional Brotherhood territory with this one. The big erotic sequence that has become a trademark of this series lives up to all expectations. This film also features some of the best production design of any DeCoteau film to date, although I can't say that it quite lives up to the "frat party" playboy club type design of the original film. Nevertheless, the budget seems to have been beefed up a little for this effort and the visual effects are more elaborate and abundant. The only thing missing (sadly) is the ever present lightening. C'mon David, bring out the Lightening Strikes machine again. WE MISS IT BAD! All fans of David DeCoteau or the Brotherhood series will be knocked out by this one. Thanks David, you have truly done it again!
