Description

Coach Nash (Gary Cole) is one of the most popular teachers at Tate High School. When he pays special attention to Amy (Nicholle = Tom), a fourteen year-old freshman, she is flattered - until he crosses the line by seducing her. Soon the rumor mill is in full swing and Amy is too ashamed to confide in anyone. The principal dismisses the suspicions because of the coach's importance to the football team. His behavior toward Amy becomes increasingly erratic and he even threatens suicide. Finally, Amy breaks down and confesses the truth to her mother (Mary Kay Place). Coach Nash pleads guilty and receives a jail sentence for his actions. But, Amy's parents feel the school system should be held responsible for failure to protect their daughter from this predator. With the help of an attorney who shares the same convictions, they are determined to set a precedent to protect other children in the future. Indecent Seduction is a captivating tale inspired by true events, featuring outstanding performances from Gary Cole, Mary Kay Place, Nicholle Tom, Mac Davis and Alyson Hannigan.

My husband and I loved this movie. It was filmed in our highschool back when we attended. I am one of the brunette cheerleaders and he is the redhead with the letterman jacket who glares at her car toward the end. Fun Fun. Anyone who attended the real "Tate" highschool will enjoy this film.

I saw this movie on tv and thought it was really good. I think the acting was great and why is someone giving this movie 1 star justt because they didn't receive their items? Disregard the previous users 1 star and give the movie a chance, especially if you like the Lifetime channel movies (which remind me of extended after school specials). Good one!

HERSHEY DOMINATES.......2007-02-16

Based on a true story and a book called EVIDENCE OF LOVE, this tv movie is made remarkable by the Emmy-winning performance of Barbara Hershey. She is utterly magnificent in the role of a middle class housewife who brutally murders her ex-lover's wife in a self defensive rage. Hershey superbly captures the many nuances of this seemingly normal woman who commits a heinous deed. Her hypnosis sequence is brutally painful and she pulls out no stops in showing us the hidden rage.
Brian Dennehy is equally good as the lawyer who tries to get her out of her terrifying predicament.
The movie is impressively done and once again worthy most of all for Ms. Hershey's dynamic presence.

The movie grabbed my attention within first ten minutes and continued to be interesting throughout. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys watching true crime type flicks or murder mysteries. It is also interesting from the standpoint of someone who studies personality disorders.

Good film portrayal of the story of axe murderess Candy Morrison and her neighbor. Rivalry, cruelty and jealousy flare up between these small town women that ends with the brutal strokes of an axe.

I was lucky enough to have seen them live when they were in NYC. Seems like ages ago! Or should that be "a life ago"?

They knew how to rock and they did it hard. They blew me away as that was my introduction to them. fireworks and all.

It was tragic when I heard the news of the accident. It was not a good year for Rock n Roll.

Recommend this as: a way to hold on to a piece of what could of been. This is a tribute to that hard road traveled if your female, a musician, and on the road touring.

It's a fanstasy that bands get the fancy tour buses and private jets.(If they do have that, they will be broke in a few years causeit all comes off the top of any money actually made)

This film is in a class all by itself. Women in rock are often unrecoginzed and unappreciated. This true story follows the lives of women who break the gender rules and give the men a run for their money. Strong, courageous, highly talented women who put together a one-of-a-kind sound storm the stage and the road with such intensity, you'll wish to God you had a chance to see them perform today. The mere existence of this footage is a gift. The way it's put together is an art. Whether you're a fan of women in rock or just a fan of great stories, I highly recommend this film.

I'm a sucker for rocumentaries and this one takes the cake. No flashy stadiums or tour buses here. These girls rock out across the country van style with Marshalls in tow. All the best road dog pranks and madness you can imagine. This film is both hilarious and heart wrenching at the same time. It must have been fun...

Surprisingly heartfelt documentary for a flick about bad ass rocker chicks! Incredible insight into the music industry as well as the hardships of being in a band. Doesn't back off from showing the ugly side of the relationships, addictions, or tragedy. This is a must for anyone who is a music fan.

I 100% LOVED this film. The intensity of how well you get to know this band and this girl, really makes the tragic ending so powerful. Its a must see, and not only for music fans.

I bought the DVD when it first came out and just got around to watching it (it IS 3 hours, and I'd seen it when it originally aired), and discovered I had a defective DVD. Thanks to reading the below comments, I knew it was a manufacturer's error and contacted the manufacturer's customer service, asking if the problem had been corrected and, if so, would they exchange it. Within the hour, they sent me an email requesting an address to replace the disc. I've just watched the new and improved DVD, so buy with confidence! (And the movie is really well done.)

Misleading--this is only the second half of the series........2005-12-24

This series was originally on public television, and the original story encompassed JFK's life from childhood through his election to Congress. This DVD was a disappointment as it begins at the period just prior to WW2, leaving out some fascinating material dealing with Old Joe's ambassadorship to Great Britain, which was a fiasco, and other interesting components of JFK's early life.

Setting that aside, this one is worth owning and viewing. It gives a balanced view of the famous "PT109" incident, as well as of JFK's first run for Congress. Just know that this DVD is not the complete "JFK: Reckless Youth" series.

Only 1/2 the Mini-Series!.......2005-10-07

Previous reviewer is correct, this release contains only the second half of the mini-series. The box clearly states 183 minutes, yet the one disc contains only 91. It should have been a two disc set. Someone at MPI really blew it on this one. The film film itself is not bad...

Only Half The Story.......2005-09-17

This much delayed release of the 1992 mini-series is one that I hade long awaited. However, my expectations have turned to dismay as the disc appears only to contain the second half of the show.
Despite the packaging and disc listing a running time of 180 minutes, my copy, purchased in Cambridge, Mass, runs for merely 91 minutes.
Inquiries to the manufacturer have proven to be less than helpful, and I am therefore unable to recommend a purchase of what should have been a welcome addition to the DVD market for this title.
I look forward to the rectification of this over-sight by the disc manufacturer, but fear that it may be a long time coming.

Hmmmm. I wonder if this will be like another Patrick Dempsey..........2005-09-15

Campus flick where he teaches everybody the 'cool, new dance' he got from a National Geographic type show? Okay, I'm just saying Patrick Dempsey? Uber-nerd from the 80s? As JFK? Well, I'm quite sure he's buried his past in film to be the right man to play JFK. Okay, just as long as JFK doesn't give money to the most popular girl in school so she'll look like she's dating him. Who knows - maybe Kirstie Alley will appear as Marilyn Monroe, so Patrick and her can have a 'comic-reteaming' after another movie they did in the 80s (Loverboy). Okay, okay, just as long as JFK doesn't hit it off with one older woman, and through the grapevine, become a gigolo of sorts who just talks to and dances with the older women - you know, what gigolos did in the 80s. It was all so watered down. Just like this. You've been warned!

Very cool portrait of America in the 70s........2002-12-20

Scott Jacobs's video portraits are wonderfully low-key glimpses of an America in transition. It shows real people from various walks of life trying to live the old-fashioned American Dream during a time when Corporate America was in a period of rapid growth. Included in the portraits are a novice lightweight boxer, a politician, cattle farmers, an exotic dancer, an ex-con, street people, a Vaudeville act, some hippies, and an elderly department-store Santa Claus. Jacobs does not conduct interviews on the videos, but rather strikes up conversations. The result is nothing extremely dramatic or tragic, but it's the earthy, laid-back realness of the video that makes each segment touching in its own way. This DVD definitely deserves a look.
