We really enjoy our "Lighthouses Of The Outer Banks" DVD. Our family has been traveling to the Outer Banks for years.. and we fell in love with the lighthouses there. This video is beautifully photographed and edited.. it's just as if you were touring the lighthouses themselves. A must if you are an Outer Banks or lighthouse lover!

The national competition is judged by representatives of the video and film media. Oregon Lighthouses, The silent Sentinels is excellently presented in both video and sound. The video takes you on a virtual tour of the lighthouses, as well as the history and a visit to interpretive centers along the Oregon Coast.

Nice source of information.......2006-09-26

Although the production is very segmented, and gives the impression of many short pieces spliced together, it is overall enjoyable. I do agree with the prior reviewer that there are more people on screen than the lighthouses, but Wayne Wheeler, who is the recently retired director for the United States Lighthouse Society, is an engaging speaker with an abundance if knoweledge. Some of the information is a little dated, but history rarely changes. Though not a smooth flowing piece, it is a very useful historical production.

Boring...so boring.......2006-04-12

Since I am a huge fan of lighthouses, I thought I would enjoy this. Instead, I got very bored from the narration. You see more of the people talking than you do of the lighthouses. That's why I bought it. Save your money for something else-like the Oregon lighthouse DVD. This one sucks.
