I love this DVD. This is the best dvd out there on Bigfoot. Watching it makes me want to know more. I found what Dr. Grover Krantz said about the famous Patterson film very interesting.If you love Bigfoot and learning about him this is the DVD to buy!

A nice documentary.......2006-12-18

This dvd had some interesting information from Dr. Grover Krantz and Peter Byrne who gave the documentary a serious perspective. There was good information about Native American artwork and other items which depict an ape-like creature, which gives credible evidence for the possibility that a secretive primate might exist in North America. There were also accounts of alleged bigfoot encounters. The sound effects were very good. I have loaned the DVD to many individuals and they also enjoyed this documentary. If you can buy a used DVD this is a good buy. This is the best documentary that I have seen, although I have not yet seen Discovery Channel's "Legend Meets Science".

I notice on a certain website that "Sasquatch Odysessy: The Hunt for Bigfoot" and "Sasquatchin" were both listed as better than this DVD. I whole heartedly disagree. These latter DVDs are a circus act and way over priced.

A&E Ancient Mysteries.......2006-07-29

This is the Bigfoot episode of A&E's Ancient Mysteries series. I have this recorded on VHS and will end up comparing content between the vhs and the dvd in the future. None-the-less, this Leonard Nimoy narrated episode is done quite well if not brief. It's less than 50 minutes long and there are no extras. The show itself is one of the better ones on the subject matter of bigfoot. Main sources for this documentary are from the late Grover Krantz and Peter Byrne with his former Bigfoot Research Project out of Mt Hood, OR. It includes the Scott Herriett/Daryl Owen video footage of a purported bigfoot in the bushes; I however have never "seen" what the hell it is they say is a bigfoot in their video (even with the computer enhancement version, I just don't see it) and I've never seen much further coverage of it anywhere but this show. This episode originally aired in 1994 and lightly revamped in 1997, I recommend this for your bigfoot collection.

Superficial, but Good Enough.......2007-07-01

This work teaches who built the Forbidden City and its present status as tourist attraction and decaying site. I loved seeing ancient Chinese paintings next to modern video recordings of China. However, I hate the way Leonard Nimoy asks questions that he quickly answers, talking just to fill up time.

I'm pleased that the work uses actual Asians in its reenactments. In the West, there is a whole history of European-derived actors "playing Asian," rather than having Asians playing those roles themselves. There are many Asian Americans in Southern California and many of them could use this credit to advance themselves in Hollywood's hypercompetitive environment.

Nevertheless, I hated how the West never comes up. The fact that European countries carved up China during their imperialist periods is never brought up. The work mentions eunuchs, but primarily focuses on the gossip and power struggles. Though lacking your typical male equipment, some say eunuchs did have a sexuality, having relations with both women and men of the royalty. Please read Hirsch's "Passion of the Cut Sleeve" for more information.

I think experts on Chinese history or politics would find this work risible. But if you want to hear a quicky discussion on the Forbidden City, then you'll find this useful.

I was given this as a present. At first, I expected it to be much like all the others. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The cover says "Unlock History's Oldest Secrets". True to it's word. I was informed, entertained, and inspired to find out more by doing web searches for current day information. The production is not "slanted" in any direction, rather it is factual and brilliantly produced.
A BIG thumbs up!

This presentation has nothing going for it...Aside from the narrator quoting long passages directly out of scripture,and a few second-rate experts making bold if otherwise speculative statements,this program says very little about where the ark may be,or what may have happened to it...

Where IS the Ark of the Covenant.......2007-01-08

The Old Testament is strangely silent regarding the last known location of the Ark of the Covenant. This video offered some very logical and substantial possibilities, and reasons, for where the Ark may be to this day. A fascinating journey. Well worth viewing.

More Mystery..........2006-09-21

In this program we are introduced to the idea of the Ark of the Covenant being kept safe in Ethiopia. The entire program focuses on how the Ark could have been moved from the Temple to Ethiopia and from that perspective it is fascinating. An understanding of cultural significance evolves and a deeper understanding of a culture still focusing on the Ark of the Covenant may be a surprise to many. If you have any interest in researching this topic, then this will be a brief introduction to a fascinating idea of spiritual significance.

Interesting and Thought Provoking.......2006-08-14

This well-produced DVD is an excellent summary of various theories of what happened to the fabled Ark of the Covenant. The theories range from nonexistence to hidden under Jerusalem's Temple Mount in a secret chamber. The DVD is almost entirely about the Ethiopian and Temple Mount theroies. The most interesting aspect is how the 2 theories are merged into a coherent whole. Tantalizing is the fact that there may be 2 Arks, both of which the locations are known but access is prohibited. Both the photography and narration are very good. Bibical scholars provide good commentary. My only criticism is of the reenactments. Most are too "Hollywood" with the actors looking like Caucasians dressed in costumes rather than ancient Isrealites. Especially recommended for those who like Biblical mysteries.
