I'm personally inspired by all the songs of this great DVD. The Crabb Family is simply one of the best Gospel singers in the World.

Something I really admire in the Crabb Family is that they Love the LORD with all their heart, soul, mind & strength. When you watch this DVD you will know what I mean.

Jason, the big brother of the Crabb Family, is a guy who sings from the bottom of his heart. He really means every word he sings, and that alone is a Blessing to all watching this DVD (Or as a matter of fact any Crabb DVD).

This Crabb DVD is a MUST for all GOD fearing, GOD Loving people. This would be a great DVD for your Gospel DVD collection.

My husband and I just loved this DVD, and I can't even say that I am a fan of Southern Gospel per se, but this was so great!!!!!The songs are really touching and the Crabbs really put themselves into it- I think it will move a lot of people to tears...the songs were that good! Get it if you need a music dvd that will encourage and inspire you!

Received the DVD and watched it five times that day. I really enjoyed it so much. The Crabb Family are definitely blessed with a God given talent, you can just feel how genuine their beliefs are through their music and through the love that shines through each one of them. A Genuinely Great Christmas Concert.......2005-01-05

I personally attended one of the dates of this concert in December 2003 and was stunned by how pleasureable it was. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir showed excellent taste by inviting two world-class singers like Terfel and Von Stade to appear with them. Not only does Terfel have a voice that can melt steel, but he is enormously charming. At one point during the show he proudly displayed the Welsh flag he has sewn into the lining of his overcoat. The choir was founded long ago with help from singers from Wales who had emigrated to Utah, so it seemed fitting that Terfel was there. If you love classical Christmas music, you shouldn't miss this DVD.

A Stunning Performance.......2004-09-04

This DVD is an almost complete recording of of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's Chistmas Concert from Dec 2003. I went on the first night and was so taken by the performances that I returned for the next evenings performance and the Sunday morning shortened version for their Music and The SPoken Word Broadcast.

All I can say is that this is a MUST HAVE DVD for the Christmas Season. Bryn Terfel and Frederica Von Stade were the guest soloists with the choir, and Bryn Terfel was simply stunning. A highlight of the concert (although it is difficult to choose) is when Mr. Terfel sang SUO GAN. It was breathtakingly beautiful. In fact the person who was with me at the concert cried upon hearing it. The Choir also does a traditional African folk song which must be seen to be believed. It was just one of those amazing experiences.

An added treat is the brief interviews with Bryn Terfel, Frederica Von Stade, and Craig Jessop and Mack Wilberg. It is refreshing to hear world class artists speak not only about music, but of their personal feelings regarding Christmas itself, and about performing this wonderful program. It left me even more impressed with the performers than before (if that is possible)

I was fortunate to purchase this item at its pre release discounted price, but it is easily worth the cost which is now being asked.

Buy this disk you wont be disappointed.

Good but not great........2006-12-28

I find that the M.T. Choir sounds better on their Christmas music cds than they do on this DVD. And why WILL they change the words? It's written: "And heaven and nature sing" and they have changed it to: "And saints and nature sing". The production values are acceptable. And the Vienna Choir Boys portion is pleasant, but presented in the form of a "story" which I found silly and unnecessary. Just to hear them sing the carols is enough. The production values are fine.
Overall: three stars. It could have been a lot better.

They Censored the Truth.......2006-12-17

You know, you can have the most awesome choir in the world, yet it could rise as a foul odor to the Living God. The Mormons do not believe that Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh, so they eliminated the second verse and replaced it with tarnished brass...

This CD will ring hollow for many. I suggest looking to other works. If they can't handle the entire song, they should have just left it out and sang "Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer" instead.

Great DVD, but a little misleading..........2000-03-02

I have NO idea how this DVD can be sold for such a low price, unless it is being underwritten by the LDS Church! The first half is typical tabernacle choir-- always good. The second half is actually the "Christmas With the Vienna Boys Choir" video which is available by itself on VHS for more than this DVD costs. This fact is NOT given on-line, leading one to think the DVD contains some sort of combined performance of the two groups. The Vienna portion is an excellent production-- showing the boys not only in their usual sailor suits, but also in their everyday clothes as they go about enjoying the Christmas traditions of Austria. Most of the singing is lip-sync (to their own recorded voices), but that does not detract from the very colorful and inspiring production. You will feel better about the future of humanity after watching and listening to these boys!

In this DVD one sees only computer animation, but it is very well done. One hears
mostly the words from Scripture describing the Tabernacle, with minimal added
comments. Though it was "understated" in a sense, to me that meant it was not
extraBiblical, and I felt a sense of awe watching it, personally.
This production would be suitable for Jews, except for the very end when a short
message is given about Yahushua, the Messiah.

Short, but informative.......2006-11-07

The information was excellent and seeing the computer generated interior of the Tabernacle certainly illuminated a lot of the symbolism. I did think that the length of the video was a bit short for the price, but I guess I should take into account that this is probably not a high-volume product. Overall, I enjoyed it and I do recommend seeing it. Although, I'm not sure I would have purchased it if I could've rented it.

3-D Rendered "Tabernacle in the Wilderness".......2006-03-07

This DVD discusses the Israelite "Tabernacle in the Wilderness". It does not deal with the Tabernacle after the Hebrews conquered Canaan. So it is not a comprehensive history.

The settings are computer rendered using 3-D animation. It's not the highest quality animation (i.e. Disney), but it is good animation. The details are also good. The relevant Bible passages are quoted and displayed on screen as the events around the tabernacle are discussed.

When I saw the camp set up with the mountains in the background, I had to wonder if they took a picture of the re-creation of the same event that I saw in Israel. The setup and the "Tabernacle in the Wilderness" that I saw in Israel looked so similar. The place in Israel is supposed to be an accurate representation of the Tabernacle as described in the Bible, so I assume the authors of this DVD did some research and rendered the Tabernacle in a true manner.

It would make a good introduction or supplement in a Sunday school class or the equivalent in the Jewish religion.

I did think it had some shortcomings. It's only about 30 minutes; which, to me, was too short. They needed to define what a cubit is. They seem to assume some kind of Biblical knowledge in parts of the DVD.

The transition from Infant Holy, Infant Lowly to Peter Graves reading of Luke Ch. 2 sends a shiver to my soul.

Otherwise, great performaces of traditional Christmas songs. Only wish they had male performer to accompany Audra McDonald.

In this wonderful film Jimmy Stewart is Willy Kruger, a lonely and aging widower, who lives in a basement apartment with his cat George. After finishing his work for the day as the custodian for the building, he ventures out on Christmas Eve to buy a tree. Returning home, he falls asleep listening to an LP by The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, dreaming that he is conducting them in carols of the season. When he awakes, he finds some carollers outside his window and he beckons them to visit him offering hot chocolate but they leave after only one song. Willy then finds two tiny mittens left behind by Clarissa, the youngest of the carolling group, and he puts them on his Christmas tree. On their return for the mittens, Clarissa invites Willy to join them and her mum realizes that they really need a bass voice to fill-out their singing before finishing the evening with a turkey dinner.

Mr. Kruger's Christmas is a short movie that has captured superbly the spirit and true meaning of Christmas. Willy Kruger honors the tradition and his child-like excitement is contagious! He takes us on an amazing journey to Winter Wonderland where he drives a sleigh, helps decorating a giant Christmas tree and making a snowman, and conducts a choir. And while arranging the figures of his nativity, he finds himself in the manger for the very first Christmas. This is very emotional moment and the choice of "What Child is This" song for the scene couldn't be better! Willy apologises for not bringing a present, only to realise that this isn't important. He knees down and thanks the infant Jesus for always being there for him and gives Jesus his love -the most beautiful present of all!

Jimmy Stewart's performance as Mr. Kruger is breathtaking! His humility, his joy, his tears and his admiration of Jesus are genuine and deeply touching. He brings me to tears every time I watch the film. His profound message couldn't be more timely, because we are loosing it. We've become too practical, too materialistic, too inconsiderate and too ignorant, and we need to be reminded of the core values- love of country, love of family, love and taking care of the weak and helpless and most of all, love of God. And we need to be reminded of the true meaning of Christmas. It is not about eating, drinking and countless parties. Christmas is sacred- it is all about Love!
