To anyone who truly understands what it means to be an American, Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11 should be seen as a triumph of patriotic freedom. Rarely has the First Amendment been exercised with such fervor and forthrightness of purpose: After subjecting himself to charges of factual errors in his gun-lobby exposé Bowling for Columbine, Moore armed himself with a platoon of reputable fact-checkers, an abundance of indisputable film and video footage, and his own ironically comedic sense of righteous indignation, with the singular intention of toppling the war-ravaged administration of President George W. Bush. It's the Bush presidency that Moore, with his provocative array of facts and figures, blames for corporate corruption, senseless death, unnecessary war, and political favoritism toward Osama Bin Laden's family and Saudi oil partners following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Moore's incendiary film earned Palme d'Or honors at Cannes and a predictable legion of detractors, but do yourself a favor: Ignore those who condemn the film without seeing it, and let the facts speak for themselves. By honoring American soldiers and the victims of 9/11 while condemning Bush's rationale for war in Iraq, Fahrenheit 9/11 may actually succeed in turning the tides of history. --Jeff Shannon

Always Read or Watch Something Before You Judge It.......2007-07-08
I used to be a registered Republican, and when Michael More came to speak at Utah Valley State College, I had considered joining the protesters. Now when I look at it, what a moron I was to to go along with a movement conservative or liberal without investigating the issue and judging for myself.
People always bring up the part in this movie about Bush sitting in the class room and not doing anything when he heard 911 was taking place. I would like to challenge anyone who hasn't seen this movie to watch it and then tell me what part of it isn't true or is exaggerated other than that one seen.
I have learned a valuable lesson here about judging a book by it's cover so to speak, and making judgments based on something I know nothing about.
I would also recommend watching Why We Fight
Michael Moore is "slightly" over the Top.......2007-07-05
This film is a good portrayal of the the dissentinting notion to the lies that Bush and his addman Cheney were presenting to US and to the world prior to the Iraq invasion. Unfortunately, most of us bought it. For me, unlike Hillary and most of the rest of the cadidates who seem to have a hard time recognizing true religious extremism (narrow mindedness), or comment on it, and the politicians who have endeavored to use that extremism to further their re-election ambitions the Bush-Cheney ploy to advance himself power-wise, has been lost. We live in, as always, a likely difficult world if we are not in the right place at the right time with the right look for our purposes. I think Michael Moore did a good job in affirming that perception.
A poorly argued liberal rant........2007-06-30
I am about as liberal as they come and I couldn't stand this movie. Completely ignoring the fact that this movie has very little in common with real documentaries, this movie begins with a rambling, incoherent conclusion that repetitiously attacks Bush and his administration in every way conceivably possible. Now, I realize most of us already have opinions on a subject and it is good to be honest about the fact that none of us can truly be impartial. But the whole point of a well-crafted argument is that you provide your audience with copious evidence, and you present it in such an artful way that the audience reaches your conclusion by themselves by the end of the movie. This even-handed persuasion obviously escapes Moore, as the first few minutes of the movie consist of a very hateful rant about Bush and his policies. Only after this rant does Moore begin to provide any evidence as to why we should hate Bush. The feeling I got from the movie was of a little kid tattletaling on his older brother. That's not to say I don't agree with the general conclusions. But the point of a movie like this should be persuasion. Liberals don't need convincing that Bush is despicable. It's the moderates and conservatives who need persuading, and this crude and poorly put together "documentary" surely is not going to do that.
great documentary movie.......2007-06-25
This movie makes you think. This movie is kinda biased and a lot of clips were taken way out of context. For example, the clip where Britney Spears says " we should all support our president Bush" was take out of context much like the American soldiers in Iraq acting psychotic and making them seem like they lost it and were killing everyone randomly. But yes, the Bush administration and politicians and the goverenment in general are all corrupt and evildoers. This is how the American society is. The rich justs keeps getting richer and the middle and lower class are becoming poorer. And everything in our society is in favor of the rich. For example, Paris Hilton. If the Paris Hilton incident happened to someone else that person would've been behind bars for 5 to 10 years. But poor Paris was whining and crying and said "this isn't right" by serving only 20 something days. Our US laws and our government are a big joke.
Good but a little sensational.......2007-06-20
Worth watching, and full of good facts. I admit I prefer my documentaries a little less "sensational" just put the facts out there and let people judge. But that's just me other people find that boring...

Unraveling the truth about Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11
Customer Reviews:
A great film about a great liar........2007-06-30
This film examines all of the lies and half-truths told by perennial bleeding heart "filmmaker" Michael Moore. The film is hosted by former Clinton consultant Dick Morris and has a lot of great interviews discussing the reality of 9-11 and the Bush administration.
If you have watched Fahrenheit 9-11, you need to see this to bring you back down to Earth.
Political Deception As Art.......2007-06-09
Nearly three years after the 2004 election, which this film preceded, the half-truths, untruths, and innuendos which permeate it are extraordinarily obvious. Rather than presenting a rebuttal to Michael Moore's film "Fahrenheit 9/11", 99% of this effort is devoted to attacking Michael Moore--while blaming anything bad that has happened in the world of late on Bill Clinton.
In its defense, this film DOES reveal and explain one significant inaccuracy in Michael Moore's film. This seems almost accidental as the various participants proceed to ask questions about "Fahrenheit 9/11", then provide responses to an almost unrelated matter (often one on which Moore was silent). Many arguments are left unsupported by sources or substantiating facts (Moore, whatever one may think of him, did generally "show his work"). Moore is compared variously to Leni Riefenstahl and Tokyo Rose, and when all else fails, Ann Coulter pops in to say something angry which, more often than not, is utterly irrelevant. Among the sources cited for "facts" presented here is The Washington Times, owned by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon and as one might guess, hardly noted for objectivity.
Claims that the Veteran's Administration is providing excellent care to wounded servicepeople seem almost ridiculous in light of the recent Walter Reed scandal. Claims by various service families and relatives that they were somehow "exploited" by Moore sound more like sour grapes than legitimate complaints (were they filmed without permission? If so, where are the lawsuits?). And so on and so on and so on.
This film, along with Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11", would be most entertaining viewing just prior to the next presidential election. This example in particular illustrates beautifully how "factoids" can be manupulated into "the truth". Pay attention to this film--and remember, they'll be trying to play the very same tricks in 2008. Watch closely and you just might catch them at it next time.
I'd give it "0" stars if it was made an option!.......2007-03-06
This film is by far the poorest excuse by the Republicans to discredit Michael Moore. Micheal Moore's Fahrenheit movie irritated me enough but this one irrated me even more. At least in Moore's film he interviews dozens of people, (even republicans) but in this one, Morris interviews the same 5-6 people over and over and they are all sympthizers of George W. Bush and the big business oil lobbyers.
The fact that the fanatical Republican Bomb-Thrower Ann Coulter is one of the main people in this documentary should be a big blazing red flag to the creditbility of it. I especially enjoy the comment she made in the film about how "never in history has there ever been a war fought for economical purposes." Huh?? When HASN'T there been a war that was fought for economical purposes??? Funny how the film doesnt talk about how Bush thwarted the FBI investigation into Al-Qaeda in the months before 9/11 (granted M. Moore didnt either) or why NORAD stood down, and how Haliburton has squandered Billions of taxpayers money on No-Bid contracts in Iraq.
The American people are lied to enough by the mainstream media like FOX News and now this film comes out?! Bah! This documentary was full of garbage. It focused more on discrediting Michael Moore than addressing some of the more important issues of Iraq and 9/11 that Michael Moore left out. How can these people (including Bush) be so righteous-even after 70% of the American people have turned their backs on him INCLUDING the GOP!! This is by far the most corrupt President in US history. The Bush administration makes the Nixon administration look like the Partridge Family. Look what has happened in Iraq. It has gotten so bad and so many corpes have gone into the ground because of this liar. I'm sure even Michael Moore didnt think it would get this bad, and films like this make people think it's all ok. Sorry, I cant "roll" with this line of thinking.
Keep in mind America, theres a difference in being a Patriot and being a Nationalist. Just because your government thinks it's ok doesnt make it ok. Dissent is good for democracy, and if Bush/Cheney and Rumsfeld can lie about Iraq, whos to say that they wouldnt lie about 9/11 itself, hmmmm? The fact that anyone would would even consider buying this DVD that feeds the propaganda machine blows my mind. It was like watching a film full of crybabys. Wake up people we're being duped!
Having some good points, but not a very good rebuttal.......2006-12-25
Good to watch so as to see different views on the subjects. And like average reviewers, I do not have time to launch my own research so I watch both Fahrenhype and Fahrenheit with equal skepticism.
Something I like: Arguments on the Afghan pipeline and the Pantagraph
Not a very good rebuttal in terms of justifying the war on Iraq. Too much time spent on arguing the statement "There is no terrorist threat." Michael Moore also questions the insufficient effort in Afghan taken by us on hunting down those terrorist. The main messages he carries are summarized in the very last narration: how the underprivileged have given us their great gifts by serving the country, which protects the very system which had left them with not many choices other than the military. And all they ask for is that they don't have to sacrifice until it's absolutely necessary. In this regard, Fahrenhype 9/11 does not offer a good rebuttal. In my opinion having a couple military people stand up for their opinions and challenging Moore does not represent everyone from the military. This makes Fahrenhype 9/11 an equal propaganda.
Rebuttal regarding our president response at the school: THANKS to Fahrenhype 9/11 now I understand that in fact our president acknowledged the 1st plane hitting the tower before he even stepped into the classroom. [Note that when he was informed by the agent within the classroom that's when the SECOND plane hit] And he sat for another 6, 7, 8 minutes.... If Fahrenhype 9/11 argued that he was told not to do anything at that point - what's our president for? (He is supposed to do whatever he was told to do?) And if Fahrenhype argues that the 6, 7, 8 minutes are insignificant. How much time did the 9/11 victims have? About 15 minutes between the second and the first plane hit. And about 50 minutes before the tower collapsed.. That's all the time they had, and we're talking about thousands of human lives. Fahrenhype 9/11 does not offer any better explanation for our president/agency response on that day.
And sorry my brain does not register whenever Ann Coulter speaks. Fahrenhype would have been better off without her opinions.
After all, Fahrenhype is still worth watching in my opinion. But we need to watch it with caution and skeptcism. Try to look for the FACT, and know that it only offers just another side of the story.
The Truth Behind The Lie!.......2006-12-22
Moore's terribly slanted movie was soooo biased that I refused to even pay a rental fee for fear that some of that hard earned money of mine might go into his pockets. Luckly my g/f was a manager at Blockbuster and we get a few movies a week in advance to watch for free so that she can be up to date on the new releases. In this way I finally watched the worst propaganda film since Tokyo Rose perhaps.
It was so slanted I almost couldn't watch it. I haven't been that mad and enraged at a movie since I watched "Dirty Pictures", starring James Woods, about the Mapplethorp exhibit in Cincinnati.
Though this 'compliment', if you will, to Moore's movie should be displayed right next to his but typically you find it buried somewhere else in the store. If anything, regardless of politics, you would think that a retailer would want to put this out for sales would be triple than what they are now.
The best line in this documentary is by actor Ron Silver. Who also narrates it. "You give me enough footage of Michael Moore in enough situations and I could make him look like an anorexic Right Winger." Best said!
Either way, I highly recommend anyone to buy this for any Right Winger or anti-Moore supporter. Not to mention, why not have the other side spoken for eh? More on the review of this DVD at my site, www.TheHMD.com. -ST

Watch both sides of the story.......2007-02-14
Wow, just when you think you've got the real scoop, someone else comes along and dumps a truckload of info refuting that. Fahrenheit garnered all the awards and was played in most theaters throughout America. Fahrenhype raises some serious issues with Michael Moore's style of journalism. If you're going to see the first movie, you really owe to yourself to watch the other.

Never Saw This Movie, This Guys' Really Fat.......2007-01-14
This crusty, ugly fat waste of a life made another movie. Yahoo. You see the way the mind of a geek loser like him works is the more he OPENS his big fat FAT mouth and does'nt recieve retribution, the more confidence this closet homosexual with a severe eating and nose-picking disorder will do it...will CONTINUE to do things like spit on the American Flag and try his best to make friends at a local college where he would LOVE to share the same interests and beliefs as people 15 or 20 years younger than this idiot. The title of this wonderfull piece speaks for itself...our country is attacked and this cholesterolo decides to break out his James Taylor albums and play flower-child with a barrage of BLATENT insults, low blows and LIES about the very country that feeds a fat crap like him. If you find yourself hating the celebrity of someone like this so much that it stuns you beyond words, and you're afraid to even admit you KNOW this guys' name or his movies because you think controversy is what an idiot like this wants...Rage on. Because in 20 years when this fat sweaty "director" is living out of a dog house after his divorce NOBODY is gonna remember his name.
Moore hates america and freedom........2006-10-16
Micheal Moore made me vomit while watching this movie. America would be a better place if he left here, which he should because he obviously doesn't appreciate everything that his country does for him. His extremely one sided argument has no historical value, and it a piece of brainwashing propaganda that he made in attempt to try to convince more people to hate that country that gives them so much.
Down Bush, Up Freedom.......2006-10-09
Republocrat zombies on the march
Heil Bush they chant with glassy eyes
Stomp out freedom
Subvert the Constitution for their corporate masters
Force their fascist god-book down everybody's throats
Stare at the tv, it'll all be ok they say
Turn off your mind
Become infantile like us
Soulless neo-con automatons
Mindless Flag wavers
Slaves of the Dark Lord Bush
Moore RULES others Do Not.......2006-09-27
Michael Moore's stunning documentary on the attempt of conservative thinking to distort the liberal point of view is riveting. Moore tells it like it is to the distain of many misinformed conservatives who lead perfunctory lives at best. It is well researched and not slanted as many detractors would have the viewer believe. It is very unbiased and objective in its presentation.
The magic of Moore.......2006-08-14
I am not sure where to start with this movie, or this persuasive visually essay. After all, that is what it is. Anyone who states this movie is entire fact, despite political stripe, is really not being honest with himself or herself. Many of Michael Moore's arguments and positions on topics really follow a "1 + 1 = 3" formula. For instance Fahrenheit 9/11 opens with the Bush/Gore 2000 election. How different news channels weren't displaying solidarity with the results of the election. Then the film states how Bush stole Florida from Gore. How did Bush do this? Well his brother Jeb was the governor at the time, which is how! Now I am not saying that isn't shady, and I was living in Florida and voted in that election, I recall how crazy that entire process was. But you know how this entire situation could have been avoided? If Al Gore won Tennessee (his home state) and Arkansas (President Bill Clinton's home state, after all Gore worked with him for eight years). Had Gore won these states, he wouldn't have had to worry about Florida! Nevertheless, jolly old Michael Moore omits these types of facts throughout the entire film. I know many people on the right side of the fence were upset with this movie and feel it shouldn't have been made. My response to that notion is "If you are that upset GOP, make your own movie."
As for President George W. Bush, I have a question. Is he the dumbest kid on the street or is he the devil himself? Because I find myself getting really confused, I am not sure how he can be both. I imagine someone who is really evil to be very intelligent, not to be stupid. Consequently, President Bush seems to be both, as ominous as Hitler, but as dumb as Porky Pig. I am confused, but I think that is the ruse behind Moore's mix message in this movie.
I want it to be understood I don't think Bush is the brightest crayon in the box, but I don't think the fault of the world is his pratfall. It just isn't one person who makes decisions in government; any college level course will explain that information to you. There are many shadowy and dark figures in American politics that are both Republican and Democrat. These factors fall into every element of contemporary America.
As for 9/11 itself, what a terrible thing to happen to any country, the fact it happened in New York City was unspeakable. I am able to say I had been to the WTC before and after the attack. Seeing the aftermath was quite moving, to think one of the greatest cites in the world became a target of hate and pain. As for the human-interest story about the solider that was killed and his mother coping, was touching. However, what about every soldier's family who had to deal with a death related to the War on Terror? Not just in this current war, but in every war that was ever fought? The bloody shirt technique was both moving and a low blow all at the same time. As I write this, I feel conflicted, but please remember that movie making has the magic of editing. Was that mother's pain fake, no? Was her son not a hero, of course he was. But every war has a casualty, which is why it is war. And for every mother, who is upset her son/daughter is involved with this war, there is another mother/father who is pleased her son/daughter is defending the United States. I think Michael Moore should have selected more than one family for his visually diatribe, what do you think?
I suppose I understand Moore's plan, blame people here in the United States because after all if Al Gore were president we wouldn't have terrorists, right? If Al Gore were president we would all have better public schools, lower taxes and no crime, right? Finally, if Al Gore were president there would be no plot against the United States, United Kingdom and other countries, in regards to blowing up public airlines? Right? Remember that the WTC was attacked back in 1993 by terrorists, when Bill Clinton was President. Just some food for thought.
In modern times, we as a country should stand together and be a democracy, blaming each other and falling apart is giving terrorists what they want. Especially with all the horror going on with issues around the world today. My greatest concern is this; once Bush is out of office are we still going to be blaming him? Or are we going to be moving forward? There are still some hard core GOP members who still hate Bill Clinton for things that are wrong in this country. Come on people.
In conclusion, the moral of the story is don't believe everything you see on TV. This movie should be an inspiration for people everywhere to tap into their critical thinking skills. The problem with this country isn't Bush, Michael Moore or the War in the Middle East. It is that fact that more people are involved in voting for the next American Idol, not the next American President.

Product Description
Hood Politics is a documentary that presents world politics as seen through the eyes of several people from impoverished urban areas, often referred to in slang as, "the hood". We share in their private lives as well as thoughts and theories for obtaining world peace. Within these stories, we see numerous scenes of sex, drugs and violence; but for the first time with a voice and explanation behind it. We discover not only the idiosyncrasies and obsessive habits involved with survival in the hood, but also the sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes inspiring family dynamics that make up the hood as well as America itself. In other words this is a dope ass documentary about politics, money, murder and getting your freak on in the hood. With a banging soundtrack by the up and coming LXP and numerous rarely seen clips of urban legends such as Lil Kim, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Bill Cosby and Al Sharpton - this flick is off the heezy for sheezy and a sure contender for being the next urban cult classic.
