Microscopic Milton is very small--as miniscule as a particle of dust--yet there is nothing diminutive about this collection of 13 animated stories abounding in warmth and wit. Each 5-minute tale begins with the same British-narrated introduction: "Microscopic Milton lives in a clock on the mantelpiece in the parlor of a house that belongs to a lady named Mrs. Witherspoon. No one knows he's there...." Such soothing familiarity is well-suited to preschool audiences, who will be captivated by these slice-of-life chronicles of Milton's adventures and mishaps. In one episode, Mrs. Witherspoon unknowingly vacuums up Milton; in another, Milton must contend with a most unwelcome guest. Kids will giggle over Milton's shopping list, "one Cornflake, one baked bean..." or when he becomes the mighty superhero, Captain Lightning. Resourceful and confident, Milton knows he's small, but can still accomplish great things. For pint-sized viewers, that is the grandest lesson of all. (Ages 2 to 5) --Lynn Gibson

No one knows he's there apart from Milton's friend Douglas who spends most of his time asleep in front of the fire. And, of course...you. Milton's innocence, curiousity and mischievousness keep Douglas guessing and children of all ages entertained in these thirteen short episodes, which include adventures sparring with bees, celebrating with leprechauns and travelling in time!
