MARCUS PEBLO DVD.......2005-03-09

Well, I have to say that it's not every day you come across an independant DVD relase that's actually good, but this time I have. I was looking around for some "New" animations for me to watch, & I came across the Marcus Peblo DVD! So I made a gamble & ordered a copy. It arrived in a few days. I had my reservations about this DVD, I was expecting it to be a "Home-made, Independant DVD" that may not even work in my Xbox! But to my delight, when I opened the box, this DVD was packaged professionaly! The artwork on the DVD case was lovley & the DVD disc itself was no "Home-made" burn. This was a professionaly replicated DVD like the ones you get in a Blockbuster Video store!!
So I popped it in my Xbox & Wha-La... It started up with no problems. I looked over the menus & I just by judging the amount of different menus on the DVD, I knew there was alot of material & bonus features on the DVD. On the Cover of the DVD, it did say that there were multiple audio tracks....3 to be exact! So I clicked on the 1st menu which is to play the entire feature.
Well, I'll have to say that the animation IS FANTASTIC!!! I was amazed by the quality of the artwork & the the sound was just as impressive!! I really liked the voices & music! The cartoon has alot of "Mystery" about it, hence.... That's why it's entitled "THE MYSTERY GIFT" The cartoon is great for all ages, my 3 year old was just mezmorized by it, but she understood the story line better than me. She was explaining all the parts I didn't understand to me!
The main feature was just amazing & there is pleanty of it. But with the multiple audio tracks, I played the DVD again, but this time, with Audio track 2, which is called "The Ellis Island Creepy mix" It was playing with new sound FX, voices, & music! It was like watching a new movie! I really enjoyed that pleasant treat! I also checked out the DVD audio track #3, which was the directors commentary. It was very informative! The director Eric Black talks about each episode & how the animation was done. But it wasn't your traditional director's commentary like the ones you get from the store! It was more entertaining & at times, FUNNY! It was like he was talking with the viewer. Kudos to the director!!!
As for the bonus material, WOW!!!! There's pleanty of them! There was so many bonus features to choose from! I especially liked the trailers for the other features coming soon from the Robot Pegasys team that's been putting out this cartoon. My favorite was the "UFO SERMON". That trailer has one hell of a catchy tune!!
There's also the "Making Of" bonus, which shows how the animation & the DVD was put together. There was also some "Animated Music Videos", which is just great, especially if you're a fan of animation..... & the kids love it!!
Well, that's all I have to say, but I'm going to tell you that this is a "MUST BUY" It's a beautiful cartoon that has it's own style. You'll get pleanty of material to watch. I also visited the website of the Marucis Peblo DVD> There, you'll find pleanty of info about the DVD, downloads, extra webisodes.....etc!
For the price, I was happy with it!
