This is a 1970s-era revival of the show, not the original show. Now, it's one thing to enjoy an old TV show, it's another thing to try to re-do the same show in the same way 20 years later. It really doesn't work. And on top of that, Buffalo Bob is so busy reading cue cards that he looks completely uninterested in what's going on.

As for the DVD, the video quality is OK, but the beginning and ending of each show have been removed, replaced by a new opening that was done by someone with a poor command of the English language. The sing-along words on the bottom of the screen will have your kids asking what "Arousing" means. GoodTimes Home Video strikes (out) again.

recall that this is the 70's Howdy Doody...not the 50's thought it is equally intertaining!
If you are a fan of Clarabell the Clown then this is a must have..lots a great Clarabell gags in this one!

Synopsis as read on back of DVD:
