Three flying penguins--Zidgel, Midgel, and Fidgel--whisk a bored Jason away from his Grandmum's house into outer space to a place called "Uncle Blobb's Carnival Moon." The carnival promises to be great fun, but carnival-goers are instantly turned into chronic complainers thanks to the interference of Uncle Blobb. It's Uncle Blobb's plan to allow those "seeds of discontent" to spread until the planet becomes uninhabitable--then he can dispose of the "seeds" and earn a fortune repopulating the planet. Can Jason and his penguin friends stop Uncle Blobb and save the planet? Will Jason's interplanetary experience have any relevance to his potentially boring summer at Grandmum's house? It's me, StoryMaker, and I'm reviewing Penguins episode 3, the last episode we watched. Good thing they didn't continue dropping down like in episode 2! We got episodes 1, 2, & 3 from the library, and so far own none. Most exciting of the 3 we've watched! It's exciting cuz' all the pumpkin heads, Zidgel, and Midgel get these complaint things where Uncle Blob, the owner of the carnival, speaks into the microphone and they hear Uncle Blob's complaint that says, "Just a cheap & foamy ride! Don't bother," and Fidgel, Kevin and Jason want to see what's happening, and meanwhile the pumkin heads and the other penguins go into a so-called "Fun House" where they're turned into complaining seeds! The others spy and find out, and have a big adventure! Jason messes with the controls for this claw and trys to save everyone! Can't remember or describe it very good, sorry. Signed, StoryMaker. After a dismal episode #2 (The Cheating Scales Of Bullamanka) 3-2-1 Penguins, I was really happy to watch an AWESOME episode #3 (The Amazing Carnival Of Complaining)! Glad to see that Big Idea made up for episode #2 and did not continue on a downward spiral. Hurray!

I was laughing and smiling the whole way through.

Don't be a seed of discontent is the message of this excellent DVD - video. Jason Conrad takes off on another mission with the space traveling penguins and ends up at Uncle Blobb's Amazing Carnival of Complaining. I really need to let my coworkers watch this movie!

The plot is great, the dialogue, even better, but the best thing is just knowing that Big Idea is creating great entertainment for the WHOLE family! Thanks Big Idea, for bringing smiles to the faces of people seeking family oriented entertainment.

Life Lessons at a Child's Pace.......2004-06-23

My son is 3 1/2 and he loves to watch 3-2-1 Penguins constantly! I like them because I can watch, too. This particuar one teaches a good lesson about being thankful for what you have, and not being a "seed of discontent." It's great to use as a reference when the little one gets whiny.

He's 2 but loves the penguins, especially Kevin who wasn't mentioned in the review. I like it because it throws in a lot of subtle humor that I get! I don't think he gets the lesson yet but maybe it's being drummed in there subtly !! This is a must have to your Veggie Tales collection!
