Poly-256, your PRA (personal robot assistant), will take you on an adventure to the galaxy's newest (and strangest) theme park, the Aquarium of the Aliens. The creatures you'll encounter are alien tourists - just like you! Well, maybe not JUST like you - unless you happen to be a big, smelly Battle Slug, a magical little anime pixie from the Khartuun Nebula, a creepy living shadow called a Lampyre, or a fuzzy Thor's Hamster.

According to Poly, most of the aliens are friendly, but keep your eyes open anyway. The Brain Jumper may try to hop inside your noggin for a quick visit and be grateful there's a spit shield between you and those Glow Spitters.

Bonus features include the Alien Toy Lab & Alien Book Inventor, with dozens of fun alien toys you can print out and make, including trading cards, Wonderlens Spinners, collectible mini-books and more. You can watch Poly-TV and make these toys along with Poly.

Story-Oke is like karaoke for storytellers. The DVD supplies the words and animation, you help tell the story. Collectible mini-books for all the stories are included.

wonder-ful!.......2003-06-01

Both my son and daughter just love this one, which is great, because they usually don't like watching the same thing. The funny thing is, I like watching this DVD too!
It's so different. I'm not even sure how to explain it. It's kind of like taking a little vacation to this animated world. My favorite is the sentry. It's so funny watching him react to all the other aliens.

Very cute--but not what I thought..........2003-05-14

I think the visual aspect of this video is very good, but I was expecting something with a story. The children's tour is good, but I'm thinking multiple viewings will get a little boring (unless your kid is under 2). The Luna Sleepers are very cute--our favorite alien of them all! I would like for the next DVD (if there is one being planned) to have a story that involves the characters--like a movie, which is what I thought this was going to be. Cute, but not what I was expecting...

Wonderlens: Great For Parents, Kids, and Teachers!.......2003-01-19

We saw Wonderlens at a friend's house and my 4 year old son was completely captivated by the vivid colors and imaginative creatures. There are a number of "tours" you can take--we loved the "childs" tour with the Dr. Seuss-like poems for each alien. Very clever and funny! We had to have our own copy and would highly recommend Wonderlens to any parent with school age children. Very helpful with creative writing ideas and great poetry for phonics/phonemic awareness activities. Would also be a great gift for any teacher.

Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp pixel!.......2003-01-14

The Aquarium of the Aliens is an astounding retreat for the mind, the eyes and the mind's eye. The only negative comment is that these creatures don't actually exist; it'd be a better world if they did! Although this DVD is their first commercial offering, it is still their 2nd best effort, and by that I mean Aquarium of the Aliens is so good, that what is coming next may have you sending them your resume! It really shows what an abundance of polished talent and NewTek's LightWave can accomplish - a hearty 3-hand applause from this sector of lifelings!

I bought this DVD on a recommendation by a family member and was very pleased. Bright clear animation, perfect for all ages. Great for buying as a gift, thanks again!
