Kids love it.......2006-03-23
I have to strongly disagree with other reviews of this item. My sister purchased this DVD for her son, and for over a year or so (he's now 3 and a half) he begged to watch it every chance he got. He even requests to see it now and sings along with it. My daughter turned a year old in September and my sister (almost as a joke) bought it for her. She LOVES it. Every day, she points at the TV and says "Holiday" (which is what my nephew calls the DVD because of the title of the first song.) I will admit that it is somewhat dated and the tunes aren't all that appealing to an adult, but come on, are the Wiggles? Barney? No. They're appealing to kids, and that is who the DVD is meant for. My daughter tries to sing along with the songs and even does the hand motions for a few of them. My sister says she's going to buy this DVD for 1st birthdays for all of the kids that she knows and I have to agree, It's a great gift.
A Waste of Money.......2003-12-28
We bought this DVD as a Christmas present for our son who is 14 months old. We watched it today for the first and last time. This DVD is a mish-mash of video clips from various concerts and the majority seem to be from the 1980's. In addition to being very dated the sound quality is poor and some of the video clips are faded. Many of the performers and performances are extremely annoying to parents making it very unpleasant background music. It is not a DVD that you can enjoy watching with your child as it does not lend itself to singing along. My son showed very little interest in it. He much perfers his father's music DVD's and Baby Einstein. Don't waste your money.
