Don't waste your money on "Colombia Today DVD" .......2005-08-25
I will file the purchase of this short commercial (Note to self: Not a film) under the mistakes category with a subtitle of lessons learned. First thing is my entire fault, as I failed to realize that the DVD was ONLY 25 minutes in duration. The bill for this item came to $32.93. Does that sound like a quality good deal to you?
-Last criticism I have for this item is the explicit lie in the title "Colombia Today" and the failure of Amazon to make the buyer aware that the DVD was actually made in 1993! That bit of information did not appear until the credits rolled. They clearly advertise the DVD Release Date of August 6, 2004 on the Amazon web site. So much has changed about Colombia since 1993 as well as the rest of the world.
-The video itself was low quality as well, however once I learned the TRUE original release date it all made sense.
-Having said that, it would not have been so bad if I knew the DVD was outdated, I could have lowered my expectations. So do yourself a favor don't buy this one. Amazon.com: Do us all a favor, stop selling this DVD it is a rip off! I hear DVD's such as this one make excellent coasters.
-One more thing, to date I have had 100+ orders from Amazon since Dec 2002 with no complaints ever. I will continue to make purchases through the web site as one bad apple to me truly doesn't spoil the bunch; I just want to let you all out there know this DVD is not worth your hard earned money.
