A complete dud! Not even worth the one cent we paid! .......2006-12-05

I just received this DVD today. We put it right in so our 3 year old could watch a little before his nap. It was soooooo boring! It did not interest our 3 year old who is very interested in machines. We watch Discovery and History Channel shows with construction going on, and he is very captivated.

The footage of equipment consists of super quick clips or just a snap shot and there are so many video effects its distracting. You really can't just sit and enjoy watching a machine work. Then they mix in close ups snap shots of unrelated and uninteresting things. If you have ever been to a job site where machines are working it is mezmerizing. Its like watching a camp fire. This DVD was a complete dud! One step above a home movie at best. Actually you would do better taking your video camera down to a job site and just record. This video DOES NOT let you "Watch 'em Work".

We paid one cent plus [...] shipping and it was not even worth that small amount. I will probably throw the disk away and use the case as a replacement.

Excellent Footage - Will Keep Your Child's Attention!.......2004-06-24

This is an excellent DVD! Way better than There Goes a Bulldozer & There Goes a Rescue Vehicle, this has amazing and close-up footage of the construction vehicles with short, understandable, to-the-point explanations of what they do, accompanied by great, fun music with an energetic beat that will make your toddler bounce and dance while watching it. My 27-month-old son can't keep his eyes off of it and when it's over he says, More, More, More. It's by far his favorite construction and rescue vehicle DVD. There are four sections: Kidstruction; Wheels, Wings and Moving Things; Fun in Flight; and To The Rescue, and they are all very thorough and well narrated with lots of cool real-life sounds, like sirens, the crunching of construction equipment, and cool airplane sounds. I wish they would make more of these on different topics, like trains, etc. You just can't lose with this one!!
