Great DVD for any child.......2007-05-12

I bought this DVD set for the Arthur Gets Lost episode. I saw it on PBS and I just had to have it. This episode is one of the few times DW shows any sort of sympathy for Arthur. Probably one of my all time favorite Arthur shows. The other DVDs in this set are great too. I love this show for its wholesomeness. If the kids call names, it's "marshmallow" or "fruit-head" and not something derrogatory. They are humorous without being too cheesy either. All in all, a super buy!

Ride, Tenderfoot, Ride:Cowboy Gene Autry inherits the Belmont Packing Company and the management duties that come with it. When a rival company owned by a pretty socialite plots to force Gene to sell, a feud soon ensues between the lady, who uses her womanly wiles to take business from Gene, and the cowboy who tries to recover by using old-time rally methods, including parades and bands.

Rancho Grande: Gene Autry is the foreman of a ranch mortgaged to the hilt with a fast approaching deadline to build a dam. When the owner dies and leaves the Rancho Grande to his three madcap grandchildren, Gene must straighten out the rebellious young folks and make them work to pay off the debt and foil the villains. It will take brawn, brains, and of course a few songs, to uncover the secret plot to take over Rancho Grande.

All three Great!.......2007-01-12

This set was a real bargain, mostly because the set covers a lot of material for kids of all ages. "D.W. Rides Again" deals mostly with relationship issues between Arthur and D.W., and my 4 year old loves it. He has an older sister who gets to do everything before him, and so he uses lines from this DVD to express his feelings about that. My 6 year old loves the Teacher stories, and has learned character values. We all watch these videos, and parents will appreciate the lesson taught in "Computer Adventures", because Arthur and his friends learn how important it is to obey his parents rules about the computer. Even the older kids who come over after school, as old as eleven, will sit and watch these videos and enjoy them. Great value!

This has been my daughter's favorite DVD(s) for more than a year. It has just about every stop-motion movie/show they made, plus two Frosy movies. It is only missing The Year without a Santa.
