Celebrate the 12 days of Christmas with Caillou and his family. Caillou receives a special advent calendar from his parents to count down the days until Christmas, and each night Caillou and his parents open a flap to discover a new picture of a holiday celebration somewhere in the world. As the family talks about different Christmas traditions, Caillou learns that a young boy in Germany started the tradition of the Christmas tree, that English school children made the first Christmas cards, and that Christmas stockings (and shoes) figure prominently in holiday celebrations in France and Hungary. He also learns about Hanukkah and the lighting of the Menorah from his friend Leo. As Caillou and his family enjoy their own holiday traditions, they discover the universal importance of giving and sharing. Music, including eight original songs, abounds in this 73-minute program. Unlike more typical Caillou episodes, there are no animated segments focusing on the interactions between Teddy, Rexi, and Gilbert in this presentation nor does Caillou find much to whine about in this festive season. If your children enjoy Cailou than this movie is a must have, particularly at Holiday time. My children (2&4) couldn't get enough of this movie! It is officially a holiday classic in our house. I enjoyed it too!

Great Holiday Movie! .......2007-01-04

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter who just loves Caillou. This movie is great! There's lots of great new songs, so it's different than the show - which is a great change. My daughter watched this millions of times, and we never got bored with it! I highly recommend it!

I wish there were more Caillou full-length movies. This is a wonderful christmas show the entire family will enjoy. Caillou is a great show for children of all ages.

My 4-year old son loves Caillou and these DVD's are his absolute favorites of the Caillou collection. Great for quiet time for kids, the DVD's seem to really engage them and settle them down. Also have some good lessons in them. Of course there is some of the classic "Caillou whining" but what kid doesn't whine! I recommend these to anyone with young children.

Excellent Holiday Collection.......2006-11-09

Almost all the top holidays are featured on this DVD (minus Chanukah and Easter), and it was nice to have this collection on one DVD. Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are explored, and Birthday episodes are a great bonus to this DVD. My daughter is a huge Caillou fan. Although his voice is whiney (why!?!), I really do enjoy the stories and lessons from each episode. I do consider it quality programming, especially for a cartoon.

Highly recommend!!

My daughter loves Caillou (and tolerates the puppets - but that is not a big deal).

I like him myself - much better than Dora, clearly better than the Berenstains and Clifford (though they are closer).

This is a 40 minute tape. The DVD version is 80 minutes. Probably more expensive but you get twice the Caillou!

My 3 year old daughter, Rachel, loves this video. She has watched it several times. It deals with Halloween as well as Christmas and she enjoyed it as much as she does the shows on tv. She liked the little game on the dvd also. Dressing Rosie to go outside. She squealed and giggled through the entire video. If your little one likes Caillou, buy this.
