Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Great Songs.......2006-11-15

As a music teacher, I found the original songs fun and engaging. My 12 year old daughter thought they were funny. Egger-Bovet's music connects with kids and makes the historical figures feel more real.

5 out of 5 stars So bad history won't repeat itself........2006-11-14

Yes,they are a great and a great artistic way to add mass to all
that significance and so help crack that barrier to learning!

IN 1976 I WON AN OSCAR FOR MY FILM ANGEL AND BIG JOE and I write this review with enthusiasm to congratulate Howard Egger-Bovet. He is a marvelous teacher and actor and has made learning history a fun event with his smart and entertaining video production , American Colonies/ American Revolution.

1 out of 5 stars A for effort, F for failure to be entertaining.......2006-11-11

This is a one man show where Mr Egger-Bovet tries to engage a small group of students with information about the colonies through acting and song. Unfortunately, he is not great at acting or singing and is not entertaining, but quite boring and obnoxious. I give him an A for trying to make the subject interesting and maybe it was for those students in the room with him, but on the other side of a camera, it bombs. We had to turn it off after about 30 minutes. We couldn't stand any more. I am sorry, but I had to write this to keep others from wasting $60. If your kid's not in the video, don't waste your money. Thanks for trying Mr. Egger-Bovet. I know it's hard to connect history with present day.
