Amazon.com Essential DVD

There is greatness in film that can be discussed, dissected, and talked about late into the night. Then there is genius that is right in front of our faces--we smile at the spell it puts us into and are refreshed, and nary a word needs to be spoken. This kind of entertainment is what they used to call "movie magic," and there is loads of it in this irresistible computer animation feature. Just a picture of these bright toys reawaken the kid in us. Filmmaker John Lasseter thinks of himself as a storyteller first and an animator second, much like another film innovator, Walt Disney.

The 10th anniversary edition of the landmark film repackages most of the extras found in the original Ultimate Toy Box set plus a few more. Two keen retrospectives are new, one with an assortment of talents including Roy Disney and Peter Jackson chiming in on the film's impact. The other is a roundtable with Lasseter and three of the creators simply talking about the experiences without--thankfully--any cutaways to noisy film clips. There's a load of other extras since the Ultimate Toy Box was one of the first and best DVD sets. Missing (besides the second film, which will be released separately) is the effects- and music-only tracks. Added is a whopping DTS soundtrack along with a remixed Dolby 5.1 track. The DVD has a higher transfer bit rate for a better picture, but only high-end enthusiasts will notice it. Since the film is a digital-to-digital transfer, both versions are eye-popping. A must-have set unless you have the Ultimate Toy Box.

Lasseter's story is universal and magical: what do toys do when they're not played with? Cowboy Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks), Andy's favorite bedroom toy, tries to calm the other toys (some original, some classic) during a wrenching time of year--the birthday party, when newer toys may replace them. Sure enough, Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) is the new toy that takes over the throne. Buzz has a crucial flaw, though--he believes he's the real Buzz Lightyear, not a toy. Lasseter further scores with perfect voice casting, including Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head and Wallace Shawn as a meek dinosaur. The director-animator won a special Oscar for "the development and inspired application of techniques that have made possible the first feature-length computer-animated film." In other words, the movie is great. --Doug Thomas

5 out of 5 stars Pixar's First and Best To Date!.......2007-06-26

TOY STORY is one of those classic movies that should be around for generations. Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear and Cowboy Woody are two of the most lovable and fully developed animated characters ever created. The movie is hilarious throughout though there are also many poignant moments (like Buzz's "I Will Go Sailing No More" song). Many talented actors contributed their voices most notably Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Jim Varney, John Ratzenberger and Don Rickles and the movie includes three memorable songs - "You Got a Friend", "Sailing No More" and Strange Things. And like all good stories it has some important themes including the meaning and value of friendship. Nothing scary for the little ones except perhaps some brief scenes of mutated toys and Syd's threatened violence toward Woody. This is a clever movie with heart that everyone should see.

5 out of 5 stars Toy Story.......2007-06-12

A boy named Andy had a cowboy doll named Woody . Andy loved and had a good time with Woody ,until Andy's birthday . Andy's mom decided they were going to move . Andy got many toys even a Buzz Lightyear action figure for his birthday and everything changed . Andy stopped playing with Woody, and all of the posters , wallpaper, and many other things changed too. Everything changed into Buzz Lightyear.
Woody got angry , so he pulled a trick on Buzz . Buzz had to dodge a globe and flying thumbtacks and he had to jump out of the window. All of Andy's other toys blamed Woody. They said he pushed Buzz out of the window.
Andy's mother took Andy, his little sister, and Woody to Pizza Planet. Woody found Buzz in the car. Buzz was very mad, too. They stopped at the gas station. Wood and Buzz tustled out of the car and began to fight. Andy's car drove away and left them there, luckily they hopped into the Pizza Planet truck. They were driven to Pizza Planet where they find Andy, but Buzz has a different idea. Buzz and Woody hop into a crane game. Six, the crazy neighbor wins an alien, Woody, and Buzz in the crane machine and takes them home.
Six gets a big firework in the mail and attaches the rocket to Buzz. Woody and Sid's broken toys help Buzz out. They miss Andy's car but they get into the moving truck. Sid's dog, Scud, takes Buzz away but Woody takes Andy's remote control car and finds Buzz.. They race for the moving truck but the race car runs out of battery, so Buzz lights the firework and Woody and Buzz go flying in the air and land right into Andy's car. Andy finds them and they all live in a new home together as friends.
I love this movie. This has been my favorite movie since I was little. I think it is a very good movie for all ages to enjoy. I love all the adventures of Woody and Buzz.
I recommend this movie for people of all ages and people who love thrilling adventures.

5 out of 5 stars One of my favorite movies.......2007-06-04

and I got it half price on here. What a deal! I actually bought it to watch with my kids, and they love it as much as I do. If you don't have a copy, you're missing out.

5 out of 5 stars All Time Favorite!.......2007-05-16

I first saw this movie at the theatre while I was in college. I never DREAMED I would be watching it with my kids, and it would still be a favorite 12+ years later! This movie is destined to be on the all time classic list. The lessons learned in this movie are great for kids of all ages, while still being enjoyable for adults to watch. My kids can quote whole blocks of dialogue from the movie, love to re-enact scenes, and still ask for toys from this movie. We first had it on VHS, and had to replace it because we literally wore out the tape. Now you would think that we must watch a lot of TV in our house, but we don't!! We have a movie night once a week as a family, and this is one they would watch almost every time if I let them. It's a great movie for the whole family.

5 out of 5 stars One of the best Disney's movies ever!.......2007-03-14

The 3D animation is awesome, in fact it was the first movie using this technology so it made history because of that. The story is very funny but also teaches a lot of good values to kids and adults, like loyalty work team and friendship. the bonus and dvd box is great too.

Garry Shandling wraps up the run of his groundbreaking HBO comedy series in definitive yet nostalgic fashion in this boxed set, wryly titled Not Just the Best of The Larry Sanders Show. Now there's truth in advertising. Along with 23 of what Shandling felt were the best episodes of the show's run (89 episodes from 1992-98) comes eight hours of newly produced material, including a feature-length "making of" documentary, cast and star interviews, deleted scenes, commentaries, and footage of Shandling on personal visits with stars like Alec Baldwin, Jon Stewart, and Jerry Seinfeld. The personal visits are some of the most interesting moments (a breakfast with Sharon Stone is so strained and forced it's hard not to laugh) and the new features bring so much of Garry's personal thoughts and feelings into play that maybe this set would have been better named Being Garry Shandling. But it seems only fair to get such a subjective and in-depth personal view on the series from the man who made awkward self-consciousness a comedic art form.

The Larry Sanders Show was at the forefront of changing the genre of TV comedy, and influenced the development of many shows to follow, like Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, and both versions of The Office. The source of that inspiration is on full display here, as talk-show host Larry Sanders (Shandling) along with his producer Artie (Rip Torn) and his "poor deluded bastard" sidekick Hank (Jeffrey Tambor), struggles to keep his late-night talk show on the air despite dropping ratings, absurd notes from the network, and a hilarious tendency to self-sabotage his personal life. His guest stars, including some of the biggest names in show business, seem to enjoy lampooning their images and provide some of the sharpest comic moments. It's great stuff, and it's too bad all six seasons are not scheduled to be released on DVD. Shandling reportedly went this route with the release, rather than continuing with complete seasons, because of a desire to wrap it all up at once after a long legal battle with producer Brad Grey. While many fans might bemoan the fact that there will be no complete-season sets of The Larry Sanders Show released after this, there are episodes from all six seasons here to enjoy, including the first and the double-part finale. With a gem like this, it's better to savor what's available than to lament what might have been. --Daniel Vancini

Product Description

Undeniably the hippest show to air on cable in the 1990s, The Larry Sanders Show takes you backstage at a fictional late night talk show with real-life guests from movies, music and television. The Larry Sanders Show was ahead of its time, becoming an immediate critical and audience hit for its satirical, tongue-in-cheek look at Hollywood. The series that combined documentary-like camerawork with a clever blend of fact and fiction set the standard of quality for HBO and influenced the development of shows like Sex and the City, Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and The Office.

Not Just the Best of the Larry Sanders Show features more than 8 hours of newly-produced material including Garry Shandling in personal and intimate visits with friends like Alec Baldwin, Tom Petty, Sharon Stone, Jerry Seinfeld, and Jon Stewart and including the compellingly entertaining, feature-length documentary, "The Making of The Larry Sanders Show."

5 out of 5 stars Garry Shandling's Love Child.......2007-07-08

Prior to this DVD's release, I read interviews with Shandling who talked of his love and affection for The Larry Sanders Show and how the DVD had become a labour of love for him.

He wasn't wrong.

Shandling has devoted himself to this DVD set. You could almost dust each box for his fingerprints - and I bet they'd come up too! The man has laid himself bare across almost the whole of the multitude of extras you get here. It's actually fascinating to learn that the "friendship" between Larry and David Duchovny, is not that far from the friendship between Shandling & Duchovny. You also learn that Shandling had a relationship with Sharon Stone in the 1980s, which makes the 'Sharon Stone' episode all that more "real". And you actually feel, during their Personal Visit together, that she still has feelings for him (that's Shandling, not Sanders!!!).

On top of the 23 episodes included, you also get the following...

More Personal Visits:
RIP TORN & JEFFREY TAMBOR
ALEC BALDWIN
TOM PETTY
JON STEWART (not so much a 'personal visit' as a strange live, backslapping phone call with video cameras, even though both of them live in LA!!)
ELLEN DEGENERES
JERRY SEINFELD
CAROL BURNETT
LINDA DOUCETT

Cast Interviews:
PENNY JOHNSON
JEREMY PIVEN
JANEANE GAROFALO
WALLACE LANGHAM
SCOTT THOMPSON
LINDA DOUCETT
MARY LYNN RAJSKUB
BOB ODENKIRK
SARAH SILVERMAN

Extensive Documentary (75min)
Deleted Scenes
Audio Commentaries (by Shandling, with writers & director)

Incidentally, the documentary ends with a perfect twist of Larry Sanders irony, when Bruno Kirby pops up on set to host the documentary, only to be told by Shandling that Greg Kinnear has already done it.

"You're bumping me from the DVD???"

You then learn this was Kirby's last ever piece on camera, before his death. But what a great final piece, it was.

This really is a superb DVD set. Yes, there is a lot of fan-griping about why only Season #1 has been released in its entirety but it's still early days. I firmly believe the remaining seasons will follow - after all, Shandling won't need to film any more extras (well, maybe the odd commentary), so it should be a straight case of 'transfer, print & distribute'.

I do have one small gripe, however. In a conversation, Shandling has with one of the writers, it comes to light the writer had the idea of a scene where Hank's girlfriend leaves her young son with him at the office, where Hank proceeds to trail around all day with the kid on a dog leash, so the little mite doesn't get lost. At the time, Shandling wouldn't allow it (not on any moral grounds, but on the grounds he didn't feel it was something someone would actually do). But surely, if there was one person in the Larry Sanders office that would've held a young boy on a leash all day, in some misguided way of keeping the boy safe - it would be Hank! Now, that would have been a great scene - and, you get the impression, the writer is still a bit pissed off about it. Anyway, that's a gripe about Shandling, not about the DVD.

Again, this is a great 4-disc set - perfect for any Larry Sanders/Garry Shandling fanatic. Like everyone else, I'm now just waiting for the remaining seasons to make their way to DVD.

5 out of 5 stars Talk About An Overlooked Series!.......2007-07-02

I'm what you might call a Seinfeld-fanatic. I pretty much have thought of it as the pinnacle of TV comedy for years now and Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm came in a close second for the longest time.

But you know what? That was before I watched The Larry Sanders Show. I never even knew of its existence up until a couple months ago and Garry Shandling was just some weird looking unknown comedian in my mind. Imagine my surprise when I learn that not only is Shandling very funny, but that Rip Torn and Jeffery Tambor are in the show as well...AND even funnier! By the end of this boxset I was eagerly looking forward to picking up Season 1 of the show. I was even thinking this show MIGHT be better (overall) than Seinfeld.

Don't get me wrong though, it's not like this way of thinking happened instantly. In fact, at first glance, the show is kinda underwhelming. None of the characters are zany and goofy (even Hank Kingsley isn't a goofball idiot all the time) and it really isn't like any other comedy you've seen. It even does a better job of one-camera use than Arrested Development (a show that relies heavily on narration to create humor) and once you start to focus on the nuances of the show, you'll see that this was not some cheesy Friends or Will & Grace show that was thrown together two minutes before filming.

The characters are great, the acting is dead-on, the jokes are hilarious and even though the show has a "Dramady" feel to it because of the off-screen documentary style of filming, you never get sappy "Full House" or "Friends" moments. This is a comedy series through and through and is one of the very best shows I have ever seen...and I've seen a lot.

4 out of 5 stars Almost the best........2007-06-27

Having seen the original series on HBO and not having seen it again until now, the show itself still gets 5 stars. Among a cast of great actors, Rip Torn is still our favorite. We also enjoyed the behind the scenes commentary from various actors on the show (some are better than others). I docked a star because the extra current interviews Gary does with actors that were once guests on the show are interesting but a little tedious. You gotta be a die hard fan to get through them, we are and did. If you're not a big Shandling fan you might just want a DVD of the shows themselves.

3 out of 5 stars Below average production quality and not as funny as I remember.......2007-06-21

I recalled the laughs I got from the Larry Sanders Show when it originally aired and looked forward to this DVD. As mentioned in other reviews, the picture quality is unexplainably poor, but it doesn't detract too much from the viewing experience. However, I found quite a few of the shows to be not nearly as funny as I recall; in fact some episodes are real duds. The selected episodes in my opinion don't reflect the best the show had to offer. Some of the special features are interesting, such as the breakfast with Sharon Stone. But, by and large, this DVD is a bit disappointing.

1 out of 5 stars you may be satisified, but i am not.......2007-06-21

it is because we are such huge fans that we are so disappointed. you don't have to explain how well the show has aged - most people posting these messages own the first season and have been waiting for the rest of the episodes for several years. i see zero benefit in some "lovingly-prepared best-of" - save the fluff and nonsense and give me the complete set of episodes. i agree with other fans here who say save your money and send them a message. in a day when the worst series of all time get complete releases, to not have a complete larry sanders is a sad joke. i will be waiting for a complete release - period.

Pile together a blue-ribbon cast, a screenplay high in quirkiness, and the Sundance stamp of approval, and you've got yourself a crossover indie hit. That formula worked for Little Miss Sunshine, a frequently hilarious study of family dysfunction. Meet the Hoovers, an Albuquerque clan riddled with depression, hostility, and the tattered remnants of the American Dream; despite their flakiness, they manage to pile into a VW van for a weekend trek to L.A. in order to get moppet daughter Olive (Abigail Breslin) into the Little Miss Sunshine beauty pageant. Much of the pleasure of this journey comes from watching some skillful comic actors doing their thing: Greg Kinnear and Toni Collette as the parents (he's hoping to become a self-help authority), Alan Arkin as a grandfather all too willing to give uproariously inappropriate advice to a sullen teenage grandson (Paul Dano), and a subdued Steve Carell as a jilted gay professor on the verge of suicide. The film is a crowd-pleaser, and if anything is a little too eager to bend itself in the direction of quirk-loving Sundance audiences; it can feel forced. But the breezy momentum and the ingenious actors help push the material over any bumps in the road.-- Robert Horton

Description

Take a hilarious ride with the Hoovers, one of the most endearingly fractured families in comedy history.

Father Richard (Greg Kinnear) is desperately trying to sell his motivational success program...with no success. Meanwhile, "pro-honesty" mom Sheryl (Toni Collette) lends support to her eccentric family, including her depressed brother (Steve Carell), fresh out of the hospital after being jilted by his lover. Then there are the younger Hoovers?the seven-year-old, would-be beauty queen Olive (Abigail Breslin) and Dwayne (Paul Dano), a Nietzsche-reading teen who has taken a vow of silence. Topping off the family is the foul-mouthed grandfather (Alan Arkin), whose outrageous behavior recently got him evicted from his retirement home. When Olive is invited to compete in the "Little Miss Sunshine" pageant in far-off California, the family piles into their rusted-out VW bus to rally behind her?with riotously funny results.

4 out of 5 stars Great show!.......2007-07-03

Hilarious, from start to finish. You listen and stare at each other in amazement that they collectively grasped the concept of the whole family on a road trip persona. It was a great show and I loved the moral of the whole thing that family comes first, no matter what!

5 out of 5 stars EXCELLENT FILM.......2007-07-01

Little Miss Sunshine sounds like a cute, girly film but in fact it is an excellent film that touches so many topics. Little Olive (played by Oscar Nominee Abigail Breslin, brother of Spencer Breslin) tries out for the Little Miss Sunshine Pagent and must ride there in a car (which is like a character) with an array of interesting people. She is with her suicidal uncle, drug addicted dirty yet loving gradpa, her "I'm not talking till I get what I want" brother, her unsuccesful father who is annoying, and her loving mother who is trying her best to provide for the family. The film is fun, heartful and makes wou want more. The acting is amazing and the writing is spectacular. It deserved every Oscar it got and the Best Picture nomination. The writers masterfully switch from a depressing scene to the funniest part in the movie. AMAZING FILM

3 out of 5 stars Overtly Stereotypical on Models........2007-06-27

It was an alright movie; however, that ending was not what I expected it to be for a movie entitled "Little Miss Sunshine," because there was no "Sunshine" in the end.

4 out of 5 stars Just the right amount of sunshine.......2007-06-25

A very funny, occasionally moving and at times disturbing look at a typically dysfunctional family on a road trip to a beauty contest for pre-pubescent girls. The entire cast is great - Alan Arkin (who is hilarious) won the Oscar, but really any one of the six could have won. What I like about Little Miss Sunshine the most is that it's a feel-good movie that never feels corny or manipulative. The reason being that hovering around the sunshine the film casts are the dark clouds of depression, suicide, drug abuse and failure. The film could be just as easily depressing and dark as it could be sappy and sentimental, but the two polar opposites keep the other in check and create a fun, quirky atmosphere. The film isn't perfect - its comments on beauty pageants and America's obsession with winning seem a bit forced, contradictory and weigh down everything else. Despite its flaws, I dare you to watch Little Miss Sunshine without cracking a smile and feeling good. Recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Black Comedy Masterpiece.......2007-06-22

Cynical, sarcastic, biting, dark, this is hands down the funniest movie of 2006. Wonderful movie, great script, great actors, what's not to love? A very smart comedy, which will have you in stitches.

After creating the last great traditionally animated film of the 20th century, The Iron Giant, filmmaker Brad Bird joined top-drawer studio Pixar to create this exciting, completely entertaining computer-animated film. Bird gives us a family of "supers," a brood of five with special powers desperately trying to fit in with the 9-to-5 suburban lifestyle. Of course, in a more innocent world, Bob and Helen Parr were superheroes, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl. But blasted lawsuits and public disapproval forced them and other supers to go incognito, making it even tougher for their school-age kids, the shy Violet and the aptly named Dash. When a stranger named Mirage (voiced by Elizabeth Pena) secretly recruits Bob for a potential mission, the old glory days spin in his head, even if his body is a bit too plump for his old super suit.

Bird has his cake and eats it, too. He and the Pixar wizards send up superhero and James Bond movies while delivering a thrilling, supercool action movie that rivals Spider-Man 2 for 2004's best onscreen thrills. While it's just as funny as the previous Pixar films, The Incredibles has a far wider-ranging emotional palette (it's Pixar's first PG film). Bird takes several jabs, including some juicy commentary on domestic life ("It's not graduation, he's moving from the fourth to fifth grade!").

The animated Parrs look and act a bit like the actors portraying them, Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter. Samuel L. Jackson and Jason Lee also have a grand old time as, respectively, superhero Frozone and bad guy Syndrome. Nearly stealing the show is Bird himself, voicing the eccentric designer of superhero outfits ("No capes!"), Edna Mode.

Nominated for four Oscars, The Incredibles won for Best Animated Film and, in an unprecedented win for non-live-action films, Sound Editing.

The Presentation
This two-disc set is (shall we say it?), incredible. The digital-to-digital transfer pops off the screen and the 5.1 Dolby sound will knock the socks off most systems. But like any superhero, it has an Achilles heel. This marks the first Pixar release that doesn't include both the widescreen and full-screen versions in the same DVD set, which was a great bargaining chip for those cinephiles who still want a full-frame presentation for other family members. With a 2.39:1 widescreen ratio (that's big black bars, folks, à la Dr. Zhivago), a few more viewers may decide to go with the full-frame presentation. Fortunately, Pixar reformats their full-frame presentation so the action remains in frame.

The Extras
The most-repeated segments will be the two animated shorts. Newly created for this DVD is the hilarious "Jack-Jack Attack," filling the gap in the film during which the Parr baby is left with the talkative babysitter, Kari. "Boundin'," which played in front of the film theatrically, was created by Pixar character designer Bud Luckey. This easygoing take on a dancing sheep gets better with multiple viewings (be sure to watch the featurette on the short).

Brad Bird still sounds like a bit of an outsider in his commentary track, recorded before the movie opened. Pixar captain John Lasseter brought him in to shake things up, to make sure the wildly successful studio would not get complacent. And while Bird is certainly likable, he does not exude Lasseter's teddy-bear persona. As one animator states, "He's like strong coffee; I happen to like strong coffee." Besides a resilient stance to be the best, Bird threw in an amazing number of challenges, most of which go unnoticed unless you delve into the 70 minutes of making-of features plus two commentary tracks (Bird with producer John Walker, the other from a dozen animators). We hear about the numerous sets, why you go to "the Spaniards" if you're dealing with animation physics, costume problems (there's a reason why previous Pixar films dealt with single- or uncostumed characters), and horror stories about all that animated hair. Bird's commentary throws out too many names of the animators even after he warns himself not to do so, but it's a lively enough time. The animator commentary is of greatest interest to those interested in the occupation.

There is a 30-minute segment on deleted scenes with temporary vocals and crude drawings, including a new opening (thankfully dropped). The "secret files" contain a "lost" animated short from the superheroes' glory days. This fake cartoon (Frozone and Mr. Incredible are teamed with a pink bunny) wears thin, but play it with the commentary track by the two superheroes and it's another sharp comedy sketch. There are also NSA "files" on the other superheroes alluded to in the film with dossiers and curiously fun sound bits. "Vowellet" is the only footage about the well-known cast (there aren't even any obligatory shots of the cast recording their lines). Author/cast member Sarah Vowell (NPR's This American Life) talks about her first foray into movie voice-overs--daughter Violet--and the unlikelihood of her being a superhero. The feature is unlike anything we've seen on a Disney or Pixar DVD extra, but who else would consider Abe Lincoln an action figure? --Doug Thomas

4 out of 5 stars The First Pixar Stumble.......2007-07-07

Watching the excellent Ratatouille reminded me of how disappointed I was in The Incredibles. Has its moments and not a terrible movie, by any means, but the 1st Pixar to show a few dents in the armor. One might suggest Pixar was overdue for a letdown after years of smashing success. Alas, The Incredibles doesn't have nearly the wit, heart and charm of the Toy Stories, Monster's Inc. or Finding Nemo. Instead we get loud violent action scene after loud violent action scene. The family that blows stuff up together, stays together. Violence as a legitimate form of self exppression and problem solving. Not in my family. However, there are lots of funny lines, the animation is (as always) spectacular, and the cultural references for the adults are very clever.

4 out of 5 stars Pixar Makes Another Hit!.......2007-06-14

The Incredibles is a fun story about a family of super heroes and how they try to integrate back into society once super heroes are outlawed due to lawsuits. (Some people just don't want to be saved!) A funny concept! Great characters, a great villian, a great family movie!

5 out of 5 stars Among my favorites, animated OR live-action........2007-05-22

This is, hands down, my favorite animated film. But more than that, it's one of my favorite movies of all time. Not only is the look gorgeous (at once modern and retro), but it has one of the most emotionally complex storylines of any "kids" movie I've seen - dealing with mortality, family dynamics, and more. The filmmakers get a lot of mileage out of an extraordinary family having to deal with ordinary situations, and some of the dialogue to that effect is truly thought-provoking. In addition, for comic book geeks, there are some great bits poking fun at the habits of superheroes and supervillians. All in all, a brilliant, touching, and hilarious movie that most everyone can enjoy on many different levels, though it's not a film I'd recommend for very young kids.

5 out of 5 stars Jack Jack Attack.......2007-04-27

i think the incredibles is a great film, my baby girl has seen it like a hundred times, and i'm still not as sick of it as blues clues.
though the main character, mr incredible, in the beginning of the film, is pompous and perfect, it then reflects the problems with our society as a whole, how we mistreat those who sacrifice themselves for us, how good, honest people, even perfect people, can get screwed and spend 15 years of misery, struggling to survive...subjecting themselves to complete diminishment by other evil and vindictive people, reducing their lives to near nothing...but good people will only let ya push 'em so far...
try to harm their families... and they will fight back, and win.
and i love the adult humor within, like when middle-aged mom sees the reflection of her bottom and then desperately sighs. too funny. :-)

i especially like the short film on the second disc called "jack-jack-attack"....it shows what the babysitter kara had to go through while everyone was away...incredibly funny.
wake.
