I think that Max Lucado's hermie and Friends movies are really well done, as they give simple and useful messages. my boy would look at those cartoons thousand time and I'm sure he will remember about the advises of God when He will need them, and he will also remember to remain on the streith path as God tells him. I advise to by this dvd as it is nice to wathch it with all the family.

Each Hermie and Friends video teaches timeless truths for kids and their parents. Great animation and fun sing-a-long songs keep the kids attention.

This video is about obeying the rules but also includes other fun learning; like spelling, and the effects of peer pressure. Kids are never too young to learn that peer pressure, if in a negative direction can get you into trouble. Kids must learn not only to obey the rules, but how to recognize when their peers are having a negative influence on them.

In the end, Buzby learns that obeying the rules gives him true freedom and receives love and forgivness from the community. The humor is fun too! Love the Elvis impersantion and other humor that kids and adults alike will treasure!

Our 2 1/2 year old daughter likes this movie, but chooses others over it when given a chance. It has good lessons in it to teach children that we all have
to live by the rules and why. I think when she gets older, she will like it even more. Right now, she prefers movies that have music in them.

My daughter loves this DVD. We got it last week, and she got sick over the weekend. We've watched it at least 50 times since then, and she just keeps saying, "Buzby," over and over. I love that it is teaching her godly character while she relaxes. Plus when she gets older it will give her a headstart on spelling a few words.

This is a wonderful Christian video that teaches children to trust God and value themselves. The quality of the animation and the voice talents (Tim Conwya & Don Knotts) are incredible. What's So Special About Me?.......2005-07-12

Everyone needs to know how special they are to God. Don Knotts and Tim Conway use their talents as Hermie and Wormie who are 2 ordinary caterpillars. They ask God why they are so common and God keeps telling them, "I gave you a heart just like mine. I'm not finished with you yet." Their impatience to be special in their own eyes causes silly mishaps along the way. Once they become butterflies they see God's beautiful plan for their lives unfold. It teaches children about how special they are to God and to be patient because God isn't finished with them yet.

Great Family Movie.......2004-04-25

Hermie the Caterpillar is a really good movie with funny characters, good animation and a moral lesson to be learned. Poor Hermie, who wants so badly to be someone, anyone, other than the special person he was created to be. Tim Conway is wonderful as the voice of Hermie and Don Knotts excels as the voice of Wormie, Hermie's just as common pal. Together they dream and scheme and worry and fret because they see themselves as too ordinary, all the time failing to understand that God isn't finished with them yet. Great for gently getting into kids hearts that THEY are special and God is continually working to make them into an even more beautiful person. Nothing preachy about this movie, but gives a powerful example of patience and love.

Another Great Hermie DVD!.......2007-02-24

Milo the Mantis who Wouldn't Pray is another great installment in the Hermie and Firends franchise. An excellent cast of talent, animators, producers, writers, and the actors of course. Very well done.

This video addresses prayer and does a good job of letting kids know that God doesn't always respond in a way we might expect, nor is there any special method to get close to God no matter what we do in our own power. My son (age 4 - wants to give this video 100 stars.) I like that the Hermie and Friends video open up dialogue with young hearts and get them interested in the Bible.

A good way to teach some truth about God.......2007-05-13

I found this video really well done. And also I think it is a good way to teach to our children some important truth about God, having fun. My little boy is just 17 months old and probably he doesn't understand too much about the movie at the moment, but I have to say that he has a lot of fun looking at the nice characters and listening to the nice songs. I really enjoy it as well.

The Hermie & Friends series is a fun learning and growing tool for Christian parents. In this episode, kids meet Webster, a bright young spider who gives kids a plethora of vocabulary lessons. Wordsmiths will certainly appreciate the dictionary humor.

Because this is a Christian video, some may object to the use of a brief reference that the garden will "look haunted" by Webster's webs when the garden bugs are discussing their fears of having a "scary spider" in their home. Also, as noted by another reviewer there is a reference to some colorful language (a**) by the Actor Tim Conway in the "extras" which is inappropriate for intended young audience of these videos. My son (age 4) likes to see the faces behind his favortie characters so it is a little disappointing.

Kids Learn Another Valuable Hermie Lesson.......2004-12-03

This is yet another winner in the Hermie & Friends series. My two year old is especially afraid of the dark and this lesson about praying to God when you're scared really helped him understand that he can take his fears to God. I appreciate a DVD lesson that kids will remember and one that stimulates a follow up discussion, even in young children like my son.

The Hermie series consistently offers light hearted fun and a solid message. Webster is one of the funniest characters they have created. The voices and script are top notch and it's wonderful entertainment for the entire family. My kids keep asking to pray like Hermie does to God. That's the real testament to the video. That it impacts the children more when it's off then when it's on. Keep cranking out quality!

Each Hermie and Friends video is packed with timeless truth for kids and parents alike. In this episode, the bugs learn that teamwork and caring for one another is much better that acting selfishly. Greed and envy are ugly and cause problems, but sharing and working together brings harmony.

No, life isn't perfect in the garden, and each lesson teaches kids how to deal with real pressures of life and sin. Children adore the great animation and excellent voice talents. Kudos to the writers, producers and actors who make these videos a hit!

Each Hermie and Friends DVD contains timeless truths for both children and their parents. Flo the Lyin' Fly, as the title suggests, shows the importance of telling the truth at a level that young children can understand. It is a story that resonates with their little hearts.

In this video, Flo' is a fly who wants to be liked and thinks that she has to embellish the truth, fabricate elaborate stories, for her friends to like her. She learns though that not telling the truth can get you into trouble as the lies add up. She discovers that others don't want to be around someone who lies. In the end, she discovers the problem with lying, seeks forgiveness from her friends and gains their trust.

Parents can use this video as a teaching tool about lying and the importance of telling the truth; because truth matters and it is knowable.

This DVD is hilariously funny, has a wonderful story line and awesome music by Third Day! Vicky Lawrence brings this character to life and captivates my kids with Flo's antics. I even still like it after the 100th time my son asks to watch it.

Our son absolutley LOVES this DVD!! He is 2 and a half, and he understands the concept and especially loves the bright colors and the music. He watches it over and over. My husband and I like the fact that kids can be entertained and learn a lesson at the same time. We would definitely recommend this one!

My family and I really enjoyed this series. Its a fun way to teach the kids bible stories. It is great to be able to have these movies so my daughter can watch bible stories when she gets her tv time. Can't wait for more to come.

We have this and the second in the series, and we enjoy them so much. Our daughter, age 2 1/2, is already captivated and often calls out for more "Naaman". What I really appreciate is that this DVD offers her a Bible story that is less well known than Noah or Moses, yet it is an abosulte treasure. Not only is she growing in an accurate portrayal of God's Word, but she is having fun and learning a great lesson as well.

In addition to all of that, I would recommend this DVD because I enjoy it. There are humorous character voices and an entertaining script. Lots of fun for all. You will quickly wind up quoting it over and over as we do!

Amazing Bible Puppet theater is hilarious and accurate! My husband and I sat down to watch it with our 4 and 6 year old children and thoroughly enjoyed it. We are looking forward to more in the series. This DVD could be a great help in sunday school classes or in your homeschool Bible time. My children don't remember as much from a story when there are no pictures or visuals. A great starting point would be to watch this video and then go to the Bible and read the text. Follow it up with a craft and I am sure the children will come away with a better understanding of what the stories were about and wanting to know more!

This show is not just for kids but adults too!!.......2007-03-07

A copy of this bible puppet show was floating around at our church office where our college and career bible study meets. I asked the pastor about it and he said it was definately worth watching. So one friday night after our bible study, we popped it in on the projecter to check it out. Now these are a bunch of 18-30 year olds and it had all of us laughing. But the coolest thing about this show was that we were all learning the word of God while we were being entertained. This movie is a great for ministering to your kids, even your teenagers. If you like veggie tales, or even just like being edified in the word of God, this movie has your bases covered. I strongly reccomend it!

Amazing Bible Puppet Theater.......2007-02-28

As a parent and Sunday school teacher I thoroughly enjoyed watching this unique and one of a kind, two part DVD with my kids. Overall, I'd say it's well crafted, humorous, entertaining, memorable, and tells a great story. The producer is obviously talented and presents the Gospel in an awesome way to children of all ages. As an adult I found it inspiring as well. To summarize, this is an excellent value, and I can't wait for the next release.

Like my daughter said, "For people who don't know Christ it would be very encouraging".

In Fruitcake Christmas, the bugs learn the true message of Christmas with Christ squarely at the center. Parents and children alike will benefit from seeing beyond the gifts and festivities that surround our modern-day Christmas frenzy and understand what true giving is all about. Probably the sweetest of all the Hermie videos, this one truly captures the meaning of Christmas. Many other Christmas videos shy away from the Christ in CHRISTmas, but this one is straight forward. It even parodies many of the other Christmas videos, with subtle references to Rudolph, Charlie Brown, Frosty, and others. Watch carefully! And Rick and Bubba - what fantastic additions to the Hermie world.
