Children love the predictable, lilting cadences of rhyming stories and this 59-minute Scholastic Video Collection compilation offers a wonderful selection of award-winning stories filled with catchy rhythms and beautiful, animated illustrations. "How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight" takes a humorous look at the "dinosaur-like" antics prevalent around Children's bedtimes while "In the Small, Small Pond" zooms in on the wildlife around the pond as animals like frogs, raccoons, and geese celebrate the appearance of spring. "Zin! Zin! Zin! A Violin" introduces the instruments of a chamber orchestra and "All the Colors of the Earth" celebrates the diversity of children, emphasizing all the earthly colors that kids come in. Bonus stories include "Joey Runs Away," an amusing story about a young kangaroo who refuses to clean his room, "A Weekend with Wendall" which paints a picture of a most inconsiderate young houseguest, and "Moon Man," a fantastical story about the Man in the Moon's disaster-fraught visit to earth.
