This quintet of Dragon Tales episodes focuses on the importance of planning ahead and following instructions. When Quetzal gets sick with a cold in "A Kite for Quetzal," Emmy, Max, and the Dragon gang make a kite on their own and quickly discover the need to think ahead and delegate jobs. A lack of planning almost sabotages a trip to Crystal Cave in "Prepare According to Instructions," while forethought and strict adherence to directions proves vital to a successful day of baking in "The Big Cake Mix-Up." Ord's defiance of Zak's instructions in "True Blue Friend" lands the group in a mess that can only be remedied by carefully following Quetzal's detailed instructions. Finally, Wheezie struggles to follow her doctor's exacting prescription for reigniting her fire breath in "Light My Firebreath." DVD features include four sing-along songs, English or Spanish audio, and English subtitles. (Ages 2 to 6) --Tami Horiuchi

Loooove It!.......2005-01-15
My son absolutely loves Dragon Tales, when the show is over on PBS I hear "again again" and then I put the DVDs in. This one is one of his favorites, it keeps him quiet while taking long trips in the car. It teaches the importance of following directions and is very light-hearted and silly. My son is 2 1/2 and he follows the stories along. I can ask him about Weezie losing her firebreath and he'll tell me about it. The sing-a-long songs are great too!
