Product Description

Kids review the alphabet and learn the most common sound that each letter makes. Fun songs and games hold interest and get results. Introduces the common sounds of consonants and vowels, consonant blends and common sight words. Kids get lots of practice reading words. By the end of the program, they are reading easy sentences in very short stories. In the video versions, an on-screen mouth helps teach proper enunciation of sounds. Ages 4 and up.

You can preview excerpts from this DVD online at www.rocknlearn.com. Reading a review is one thing, but seeing it for yourself BEFORE you buy is even better. You can even let your child view the excerpts and see if he/she appears interested in the DVD, which is what I did.

I was hesitant to purchase this because of the title "Rock N Learn". I was expecting harsh sound and fast moving images, and something designed more to entertain than teach, but this is not what I found at all. This is very pleasant, slow moving, calm, and well designed for teaching.

After sampling other children's educational videos and being disappointed, I am very excited after purchasing this one. This not only the best I have found, I am completely happy with what I have seen and my 2 year old child loves it (even though its says for ages 4 and up). We haven't watching it entirely yet, since its a little beyond him, but even at this age, he enjoys the first lessons.

I will definitely be buying more of Rock N Learn.

This is one of the best preschool learning products out there. My son loves this video, and he quickly began separating out the beginning sounds of the all words he encountered, which is a very important step in learning to read. I highly recommend this to the parents of little ones that are learning letter sounds.

best for beginners in phonics.......2004-11-26

this dvd is recommended by my pediatrician and my-then 7 month old son started to watch it. He loves the mouth that pronounces each letter sounds! Now that he's 1 1/2 he knows all the sounds of the alphabet! when he sees alphabet in the streets, or mall or wherever he go, he tries to read the letters. If he sees "C" he'll say.. cah cah cat! I thought it was just the phase of his development until i shared the dvd to my nephew of same age, he also started to pronounce the alphabets. It is one of the best dvd out there. I strongly recommend this one.

We checked this out at the library and my 5 year old requested watching it every night for 3 weeks. I had to return it and two weeks later he's still singing their alphabet song and repeating the letter sounds. We gotta buy it. My 3 year old enjoys it also.
