I think that Max Lucado's hermie and Friends movies are really well done, as they give simple and useful messages. my boy would look at those cartoons thousand time and I'm sure he will remember about the advises of God when He will need them, and he will also remember to remain on the streith path as God tells him. I advise to by this dvd as it is nice to wathch it with all the family.

Each Hermie and Friends video teaches timeless truths for kids and their parents. Great animation and fun sing-a-long songs keep the kids attention.

This video is about obeying the rules but also includes other fun learning; like spelling, and the effects of peer pressure. Kids are never too young to learn that peer pressure, if in a negative direction can get you into trouble. Kids must learn not only to obey the rules, but how to recognize when their peers are having a negative influence on them.

In the end, Buzby learns that obeying the rules gives him true freedom and receives love and forgivness from the community. The humor is fun too! Love the Elvis impersantion and other humor that kids and adults alike will treasure!

Our 2 1/2 year old daughter likes this movie, but chooses others over it when given a chance. It has good lessons in it to teach children that we all have
to live by the rules and why. I think when she gets older, she will like it even more. Right now, she prefers movies that have music in them.

My daughter loves this DVD. We got it last week, and she got sick over the weekend. We've watched it at least 50 times since then, and she just keeps saying, "Buzby," over and over. I love that it is teaching her godly character while she relaxes. Plus when she gets older it will give her a headstart on spelling a few words.

The introductory video in this delightful and growing children's series is destined to be a treasured favorite for years to come. Artful animation, likable characters and a clearly-told Christian message show kids how to put their faith into action (and challenge their parents too!)

Even non-Christians with a respect for God and a spiritual hunger will enjoy the timeless truths in these stories. As the subtitle indiates, this story focuses on being special. At some time or another, we all long to be different, and this story shows that every person is a person of great worth; and we are all in need of learning, growing and discovering more about our own uniqueness.

This is a wonderful Christian video that teaches children to trust God and value themselves. The quality of the animation and the voice talents (Tim Conwya & Don Knotts) are incredible. Everyone needs to know how special they are to God. Don Knotts and Tim Conway use their talents as Hermie and Wormie who are 2 ordinary caterpillars. They ask God why they are so common and God keeps telling them, "I gave you a heart just like mine. I'm not finished with you yet." Their impatience to be special in their own eyes causes silly mishaps along the way. Once they become butterflies they see God's beautiful plan for their lives unfold. It teaches children about how special they are to God and to be patient because God isn't finished with them yet.

Hermie the Caterpillar is a really good movie with funny characters, good animation and a moral lesson to be learned. Poor Hermie, who wants so badly to be someone, anyone, other than the special person he was created to be. Tim Conway is wonderful as the voice of Hermie and Don Knotts excels as the voice of Wormie, Hermie's just as common pal. Together they dream and scheme and worry and fret because they see themselves as too ordinary, all the time failing to understand that God isn't finished with them yet. Great for gently getting into kids hearts that THEY are special and God is continually working to make them into an even more beautiful person. Nothing preachy about this movie, but gives a powerful example of patience and love.

Milo the Mantis who Wouldn't Pray is another great installment in the Hermie and Firends franchise. An excellent cast of talent, animators, producers, writers, and the actors of course. Very well done.

This video addresses prayer and does a good job of letting kids know that God doesn't always respond in a way we might expect, nor is there any special method to get close to God no matter what we do in our own power. My son (age 4 - wants to give this video 100 stars.) I like that the Hermie and Friends video open up dialogue with young hearts and get them interested in the Bible.

              We've yet to be disappointed by Hermie and Wormie. Our girls, and all of their friends are quite entertained by the group of insects. The animation is incredible. We'll be adding more of Hermie and Wormie to our collection!

              In Fruitcake Christmas, the bugs learn the true message of Christmas with Christ squarely at the center. Parents and children alike will benefit from seeing beyond the gifts and festivities that surround our modern-day Christmas frenzy and understand what true giving is all about.               Probably the sweetest of all the Hermie videos, this one truly captures the meaning of Christmas. Many other Christmas videos shy away from the Christ in CHRISTmas, but this one is straight forward. It even parodies many of the other Christmas videos, with subtle references to Rudolph, Charlie Brown, Frosty, and others. Watch carefully! And Rick and Bubba - what fantastic additions to the Hermie world.
