Barney, BJ, and Baby Bop invite young viewers to accompany them as they visit the Fort Worth Zoo in this 50-minute, never-televised Barney show. Unlike the typical televised episode, this installment is shot completely on location. Absent is the core group of children who interact with Barney--instead, Barney focuses on BJ, Baby Bop, and his young viewers. BJ attempts to chronicle their journey through the zoo with his camera, Baby Bop embarks on a quest to introduce her stuffed elephant Nellie to a real elephant, and Scooter McNutty tries desperately to locate the squirrel exhibit. Barney provides key information about animals like Mandle monkeys, zebras, and flamingos while posing many questions and challenges that invite viewer interaction. Also included is footage of real children discussing and imitating a variety of animals. Eleven fun songs accompany Barney's expedition including "What Will We See at the Zoo," "Rock Like a Monkey," and "Everybody Needs a Nap." The Fort Worth Zoo proves to be a wonderful setting for this innovative Barney episode and the animal photography is close-up and excellent. (Ages 2 to 6) --Tami Horiuchi

LOOOOOVES this.......2007-06-08
As much as I try to control tv watching, my sons (26 month) LOVES this DVD and asks for it "watch Barney?" (he likes Thomas the Tank Engine but asks for Barney more often). He sings along and imitates what they are doing. While I personally don't like Barney, it's a hit with the kids!
Love it!!.......2007-03-09
My son loves this video of Barney at the Zoo. I was hesitant to buy it at first due to the poor reviews listed here but my son just loves Barney and animals so I gave it a try. He has many of the Barney DVDs but this one is definitely one of the better ones. There are a tons of different animals which are helping to teach him to say different and new words. He can watch it again and again and loves it each time like it's new.
You can't go wrong with Barney........2007-02-18
Barney is great for all kids. Good tape. Keeps my 3 yr old quiet on trips.
Great video!.......2007-02-11
This is our daughter's favorite video. She giggles and claps while watching. I'm not a big Barney fan, but I do enjoy the songs on this one. I highly recommend it!
great movie.......2007-01-10
My 21 month old loves to go to the zoo and loves Barney so we thought this would be perfect for her and it is ! She loves it and wants to watch it all the time.

The movie stinks but..........2006-10-16
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Barney for spoofing Squeaky Boots!
My Barney lover loved them.......2005-09-12
I bought these for my daughter for our 12 hour drive down to FL for vacation and she loved them both she loves the animals in the Let's Go to the Zoo (although when BJ trys to take pictures they make the film go fuzzy and then focus and watching that in the car was making me a little motion sick) and she enjoyed the Round and Round we go because of the songs. A good deal all around!
Barney-Let's go to the Zoo.......2005-08-17
Excellent introduction for young children to experience many different animals
"Zoo" is great; "Round and Round" has a scary man in it!.......2005-08-08
I'd give "Let's Go to the Zoo" 5 stars. My 20 month old LOVES it!! It's really a great video (and he normally doesn't like TV at all -- and I personally don't normally like Barney).
However, the other video, "Round and Round We Go," has an older man in it that scares my son to death. He can't get past the intro, for fear that the man will come onto the screen soon. Maybe he'll grow out of it, but he may grow out of Barney by then, too...
I should have just bought the zoo video instead of the bargain 2-pack that included the video with the weird-looking man.
back in the dayz of Biggie Smalls.......2005-04-27
back in the dayz the survivors and me used to say barney is corny and i hate barney but now when i think of it the barney days were the good times because it reminds me of when we were survivors and they werent hypocritical. so this gets 5 stars
