For the non-Australians out there, the Wiggles are a quartet of male songbirds reminiscent of the Monkees, but aimed at the Barney-watching set. The Down Under foursome sings about mashed bananas and hot potatoes, dances with the energy of fitness instructors, and makes mild attempts at being educational. (Three of the four met while studying early childhood education.) Their stab at multiculturalism results in the Jewish song "Havenu Shalom Alachem." Joining them are a big green dinosaur named Dorothy (seem familiar?), Henry the giant purple octopus, Wags the Dog, and a man in a pirate suit called Captain Feathersword. The songs are catchy, the dancing vigorous, and the outfits colorful approximations of the uniforms worn by the original crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. A couple of the haircuts look like they might have been acquired on the spaceship as well. Great entertainment for the little ones. My 2 yr old son LOVES the Wiggles and he even sings along to the songs. He doesn't know all the words but you can recognize some he says!

LOVE This DVD!!!!.......2007-01-20

This is my absolute all-time favorite DVD by the Wiggles. Both my daughters have truly enjoyed this particular presentation. My 5-year old watched this one since she was a toddler on video, so I had to get the DVD version for my 1-year old for Christmas. This is a must have for road trips!!! If you aren't sure about the Wiggles, give this one a try before making a final decision. Your kids will love this one!

Not a favorite........2006-08-31

Most of the video is good, but they have these two songs with psycho puppets in helium voices that creeps me out and drives me crazy. My daughter loves the Wiggles and will sing along to all of their songs, until these creepy puppets comes on, then she walks away. Luckily it is only two songs.

If you like good, classic Wiggles, get Toot Toot or Wiggle Time.

The Best Wiggles Video Ever!.......2006-02-25

Both of my kids (4 years old and 16 months) love Yummy Yummy! This dvd has all of our favorite songs from the Wiggles tv show. It's fast paced since there aren't too many skits. We have other Wiggles dvd's, but this one is best for singing and dancing along!!

OK Video, but not the best and creepy puppet faces.......2005-12-12

My son went through this HUGE wiggles phase and I bought him several videos. This video was not the worst, but certainly not the best. There are segments with puppet like characters to represent the wiggles and I found them to be creepy. My son didn't seem to notice, but they really were odd looking and I would rather not show my son creepy wiggles faces with HUGE bulging eyes. if that part were removed, the video would improve!

Great buy....but cheaper in stores if you look!.......2006-08-02

We bought this for our almost [...] son and he loves both of them. They are older videos and skits from the early days of the Wiggles, but still just as good. The skits on Wiggle Playtime are silly, but cute. Yummy Yummy is mostly videos, and even though others have complained in the reviews for this dvd about the puppet parts, my son loves them. I will mention that we bought them for a few dollars less at Walmart, but this is still a good price for two dvds....

But then again, the Wiggles can do no wrong in the eyes of my little one!! He loves everything they do and these dvds are a life safer for when I need to get things done around the house.

The Wiggles, that wacky outfit wowing kids from Down Under, welcome preschoolers for a lively, loopy musical fiesta on their sixth release, Dance Party. In addition to Murray, Greg, Jeff, and Anthony, Oz's answer to the Fab Four, chiming in on this 15-song charmer of a dance- and sing-along are the usual wiggly suspects--Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog, Captain Feathersword, and the remarkably light-on-her-feet hostess of the party, Dorothy the Dinosaur. Along with all the fancy footwork, expect the frenetic pace of all Wiggles offerings (nobody's attention span is apt to be challenged by a 15-segment, 40-minute video), but also expect a less polished production than in previous titles. The gang's unfamiliar hair styles and other telltale clues bear the trappings of an early performance. Which in no way dilutes the fun-for-all delirium. In fact, the goofier-than-ever gags and graceful child dance troupes featured on a couple of numbers here propel this tape into top-shelf Wiggles territory. First and Favorite Wiggles Video.......2007-06-07

Yes, the production quality is awful; Anthony's hair looks like he doesn't own a mirror; and in half the scenes Anthony has on a short sleeve shirt/half long sleeved. However, it is still my favorite.

Dance Party was our family's first introduction to the Wiggles in 2003. My son (now 5 1/2) had a HUGE Wiggles obsession right as they first started gaining popularity in the US.

The songs were silly and fun, whereas many of the later ones seem like they ran out of ideas and yet still felt compelled to keep writing songs, no matter how stupid they are. Maybe I only feel this way because these are the Wiggles songs that I knew first, but all of the subsequent Wiggles videos we have (close to 10!) just don't measure up.

Perhaps it is because I watched it a million times before they even HAD a "real" big red car, but there is something appealing about 4 guys and their Cardboard props that is more original and refreshing than the over commercialized, over-done videos that followed.

fun little dvd.......2007-03-19

we bought this because we were going on a 15 hour car ride vacation and I wanted something to keep my 15 mth entertained. he was in love with the wiggles (i didnt know who they were) and he "asked" for them every time we got back in the car. Those men are a tad bit silly but that is why babies love them i suppose. my son dances and "wiggles" right along with them and I am looking to get a few more dvds. I would definitely recommend it for any age

Crunchy Munchy Music.......2006-11-14

Bought this for me and my son, but mostly for me!!! Even though I cannot sing AT ALL, it's still a lot of fun singing karaoke Wiggles!!! This would be great for birthday parties, playgroups, etc!!! Wiggle on!!!

I bought this for my 1 1/2 year old daughter. She is so addicted to it! It is obvious it is one of the earlier ones they did - much less "production" but we really prefer it that way. There are more children dancing and singing with the Wiggles than paid dancers.....and the songs are really cute and catchy. My daughter is not a TV buff at all but she dances along with the songs - it is adorable. We love this one! Their hair cuts do change throughout the video, but she could care less. We really love this!

Needs to be reproduced.......2006-04-28

The kids won't care that the quality isn't good or that this was obviously made at a time when the Wiggles had no budget. The problem is that there is no DVD menu. If you hit the "skip" button, the DVD does not advance to the next song, but rather to some random spot on the disk in the middle of a song. If your child is yelling to hear a certain song, there's no way to get to it except to FF visually. How much of a problem would it be to rerelease this DVD with the scenes properly indexed?
