The Wiggles are Australia's hottest children's entertainment and it's easy to see why. This 40-minute video is packed with 16 fun songs that make children want to dance and, yes, wiggle. Greg Page, the main vocalist, has a pleasing, folksy voice reminiscent of Canada's Raffi. Murray Cook and Anthony Field accompany on guitar, Jeff Fatt accompanies on accordion and keyboard, and all three dance, wiggle, and teach kids song-specific movements and lyrics. The songs themselves have imaginative lyrics and catchy melodies, a fact that hints at Anthony, Murray, and Greg's backgrounds in early childhood education. This DVD, among several other Wiggles DVDs, is GREAT! My son has enjoyed watching it since he was about 4 months old and will probably still be watching after he is a year old. The wiggles are my on call babysitter. And what is so amazing, is that I don't want to smash the disc into tiny bits after watching it a few times. If you don't mind letting your kid watch a bit of TV so that you can get some things done, buy this DVD.

Most songs for your buck.......2006-10-14

My 2 year old loves the Wiggles. Problem was that the TV show just didn't have enough songs for him. This DVD did the trick. We've watched it so many times I don't think I could count, I could however sing every song for you! Not exactly adult entertainment, but that's not what it was made for. Perfect for the toddler/preschooler set!

My 17 month old son love the "iggles." Wiggle Time is fantastic. He stands in front of the TV and dances along (read, jumps up and down) to all of their songs. The only down side is that I find myself singing the songs in my head long after the movie is over!

What a great way to spend a rainy day! I don't like when kids plop in front of the tv for hours. With The Wiggles, my daughter is up dancing, singing and immitating the guys on tv. Warning - you WILL catch yourself singing these songs during the day.

Once again - they did great!.......2007-01-10

We are big Wiggles fans in our house. They did a re-make of many of the their popular songs on this one, but what truly stands out on this DVD is the Captain Feathersword portion. My kids get up and dance to this DVD each time. Captain Feathersword is just as big to my kids (or bigger) than The Wiggles, so this is a great DVD for us. If your kids love C.F. then this would be a good choice for your collection.

Wiggle Around the Clock is an older version of Wake Up, Jeff.......2006-07-29

When I first got Wiggle Around the Clock, I had no idea that it would have most of the Wiggles' songs from their offical music video movie, called, Wake Up, Jeff... which I think was made in 1999.

One of the new songs that I had gotten used to right away, were called, "Frog-Went-A-Walking" and "Guess What". I love Captain Feathersword's song the best.

My daughters love this one and there are a lot of good songs that we've not heard before.

For the non-Australians out there, the Wiggles are a quartet of male songbirds reminiscent of the Monkees, but aimed at the Barney-watching set. The Down Under foursome sings about mashed bananas and hot potatoes, dances with the energy of fitness instructors, and makes mild attempts at being educational. (Three of the four met while studying early childhood education.) Their stab at multiculturalism results in the Jewish song "Havenu Shalom Alachem." Joining them are a big green dinosaur named Dorothy (seem familiar?), Henry the giant purple octopus, Wags the Dog, and a man in a pirate suit called Captain Feathersword. The songs are catchy, the dancing vigorous, and the outfits colorful approximations of the uniforms worn by the original crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise. A couple of the haircuts look like they might have been acquired on the spaceship as well. The 15-song video runs 33 minutes long and claims to be appropriate for ages 1-8, but will most likely appeal to preschoolers and kindergartners. --Kimberly Heinrichs

The Wiggles, that wacky outfit wowing kids from Down Under, welcome preschoolers for a lively, loopy musical fiesta on their sixth release, Dance Party. In addition to Murray, Greg, Jeff, and Anthony, Oz's answer to the Fab Four, chiming in on this 15-song charmer of a dance- and sing-along are the usual wiggly suspects--Henry the Octopus, Wags the Dog, Captain Feathersword, and the remarkably light-on-her-feet hostess of the party, Dorothy the Dinosaur. Along with all the fancy footwork, expect the frenetic pace of all Wiggles offerings (nobody's attention span is apt to be challenged by a 15-segment, 40-minute video), but also expect a less polished production than in previous titles. The gang's unfamiliar hair styles and other telltale clues bear the trappings of an early performance. Which in no way dilutes the fun-for-all delirium. In fact, the goofier-than-ever gags and graceful child dance troupes featured on a couple of numbers here propel this tape into top-shelf Wiggles territory. First and Favorite Wiggles Video.......2007-06-07

Yes, the production quality is awful; Anthony's hair looks like he doesn't own a mirror; and in half the scenes Anthony has on a short sleeve shirt/half long sleeved. However, it is still my favorite.

Dance Party was our family's first introduction to the Wiggles in 2003. My son (now 5 1/2) had a HUGE Wiggles obsession right as they first started gaining popularity in the US.

The songs were silly and fun, whereas many of the later ones seem like they ran out of ideas and yet still felt compelled to keep writing songs, no matter how stupid they are. Maybe I only feel this way because these are the Wiggles songs that I knew first, but all of the subsequent Wiggles videos we have (close to 10!) just don't measure up.

Perhaps it is because I watched it a million times before they even HAD a "real" big red car, but there is something appealing about 4 guys and their Cardboard props that is more original and refreshing than the over commercialized, over-done videos that followed.

fun little dvd.......2007-03-19

we bought this because we were going on a 15 hour car ride vacation and I wanted something to keep my 15 mth entertained. he was in love with the wiggles (i didnt know who they were) and he "asked" for them every time we got back in the car. Those men are a tad bit silly but that is why babies love them i suppose. my son dances and "wiggles" right along with them and I am looking to get a few more dvds. I would definitely recommend it for any age

Bought this for me and my son, but mostly for me!!! Even though I cannot sing AT ALL, it's still a lot of fun singing karaoke Wiggles!!! This would be great for birthday parties, playgroups, etc!!! Wiggle on!!!

I bought this for my 1 1/2 year old daughter. She is so addicted to it! It is obvious it is one of the earlier ones they did - much less "production" but we really prefer it that way. There are more children dancing and singing with the Wiggles than paid dancers.....and the songs are really cute and catchy. My daughter is not a TV buff at all but she dances along with the songs - it is adorable. We love this one! Their hair cuts do change throughout the video, but she could care less. We really love this!

Needs to be reproduced.......2006-04-28

The kids won't care that the quality isn't good or that this was obviously made at a time when the Wiggles had no budget. The problem is that there is no DVD menu. If you hit the "skip" button, the DVD does not advance to the next song, but rather to some random spot on the disk in the middle of a song. If your child is yelling to hear a certain song, there's no way to get to it except to FF visually. How much of a problem would it be to rerelease this DVD with the scenes properly indexed?
