Classic Storybooks.......2007-05-29

As a preschool teacher, I love that Scholastic has chosen to animate some of my favorite stories. This collection has some of the best stories by some of the top children's authors. They contain the same stories that my students ask to read again and again, plus some new additions they love. The movies are all of the highest quality. Favorite characters come alive with voices, movement and music, while staying true to the original picture books. On a rainy day, I can show my class one of these videos without feeling guilty. And, I know my own young children are using their TV time watching educational/quality content.

Our kids' favorite.......2007-03-01

This collection is fabulous, and has provided hours of entertainment for our 3 kids. They go through spells of being addicted to one or the other of the shows. Just about every one of the different stories has been a favorite at one point or another! There are 3-4 extra stories on every DVD as well, and these are at least as good as the main stories. The collection is great find--fun music as well.

Great TV for toddlers / preschoolers.......2006-12-12

I got this as an alternative to TV programs for my 2 1/2 year old son. It's such a nice collection. Each DVD runs about an hour and has tons of stories. He loves it and this is a really good deal too for 6 DVD's. They are all from books and ranging from really funky 60's-70's animation to ones that are from stories just a few years old. It's great!

Fine viewing for all ages.......2005-08-31

I have seven grandchildren ages six and under and there is a great and very favorite story for each and every child in this set, and for me as well, since I watch what they watch and I love it when they ask to watch this set. They even discuss the different stories long after they have watched them. Yesterday, the 22 month old watched, Pete's A Pizza, three times in a row, laughing each and every time. My favorite is, The Amazing Bone.I highly recommend this set.

If you and your kids love children's books, then you cannot go wrong with this set. It's a STEAL! Each DVD has an average of 6-7 of the best stories in children's literature. The artwork and narration is exactly the same as in the books. These DVDs are educational and really bring childhood favorites to life in a new way. Don't miss these. Be sure to expand your collection with some of the new ones as well, such as Click Clack Moo Cows That Type, Harry the Dirty Dog, Goodnight Gorilla, Twas the Night Before Christmas, and The Snowy Day.

Love these!.......2007-05-14

All three of my kids (boys 7, 3, 1.75) LOVE these videoe. We put one on before bed and depending on how "on or "off" schedule we are, I can choose the right number of shows for them to watch. They are pretty short, which is nice...my kids always want to watch a movie to the end, which can be a problem at night. Our favorite by far is "Goodnight Gorilla". They have done a superb job animating these lovely story books...you will not be sorry!

A wonderful addition to the video collection.......2007-03-08

My children absolutely love it when we read them Wheels on the Bus and Good Night Gorilla. I am not fond of providing video to my children but when it is basically the book that I just read to them... I gave in. Not only do they love to see the video but then they want to read me the book. I had to buy the other books on the video because my child wanted to read them to me as well. So now I have Dem Bones and I know an Old Lady that Swallowed a Fly, to name of few others. I think the ones that have music associated with the book really speak to my children the most but overall the collection is a must!
