I love Jem with every fiber of my being! Fashion and fame! Glammer and glitz!!! This DVD set is a dream come true for me. I have missed Jem, the Holograms, and even the Misfits!! Now I can have them anytime, day or night! Although I have to say, the price of this DVD was TRULY, TRULY, TRULY OUTRAGEOUS!!! HOwever, it was worth every red cent and the SYNERGY I get from having these DVDs should be enjoyed by all. JEM!

Trip Down Memory Lane.......2006-04-24

First of all, let me state for the record that I'm a guy. I used to watch Jem & The Holograms as a kid and had a crush on the girls. I also loved the music from the show. When this DVD (and Season 3, Part 1) came out, I couldn't believe my eyes. The DVDs themselves are great with some nice bonus materials. There are even options to select just the songs from each episode, which is cool. The cartoon looks a bit dated now but it's still good because I remember a lot of them like it was yesterday. I'm still waiting for Season 3, Part 2 to come out but am not sure it will any time soon. Also, I hope they will release an audio CD with all the songs from the show on it. There are so many 'independent' copies floating about in cyberspace already they might as well give us some high quality originals. I know I wouldn't mind paying for it.

I LOVED this show when it was on, and I still love it, even after all these years. The problem is, the DVD is out of print, and if I want to own it for myself, I'm expected to pay $100. I'm a college student! I can't afford that! When will Rhino rerelease Jem on DVD?? I would buy it the day it came out if it ever does.

I am so glad that I was able to relive my childhood memories of Jem. Now and days you can't even find a cartoon that could win me over today. The cartoons back in the 80's had meaning and substance you could really relate to them as a kid and they were made just for kids. The cartoons today lack so much substance, innocence or any moral education. Jem dealt with some real life situations such as teen runaways, drugs, self esteem issues etc.
These cartoons today exaggerates too much, fail to deal with some real life issues that young people go through, and they possess too much energy! Is thats why ADHD on the rise? Well, anyway I suggest anyone who would like to sit down and really enjoy a REAL cartoon.... get Jem because she is truly outrageous!
