Anyone who grew up with Bugs and his pals will love this DVD.
All ages. Grandparents even! Everyone is up to their usual
antics. Great gift for the kids.

I agree with some of the one star reviewers about this DVD. This DVD has only 28 shorts from the Looney Tunes Golden Collection (look on the back cover).
The reason why I purchased this was because:
1. I haven't seen Looney Tunes for almost a decade (I don't know why cable channels (ie. Nickeloden, Cartoon Network) stop showing them)
2. $14 is a real nice price, especially if it is something to satisfy your craving for some cartoons that you saw as a child.

There are "The Golden Collection" DVD sets out there that are more bang for your buck (I will be getting those as well), but if you're like me (a broke college student) and are just looking to satify your needs and desires, then you might want to consider this here. If you have "The Golden Collection" sets, buying this would be a complete waste of money, because the 28 shorts are just pulled from those sets.

As for the DVD, it's great. I finally get to see the cartoons that I used to watch since I was 4 (around 1990), and most of the story lines I still remember. This is a great price effecient set that many will enjoy. I watch this time and time again, and it never gets old. I plan on purchasing the "Golden Collection" sets, but for right now this is what is going to have to hold over until that time comes. If you're looking for some Looney Tunes to watch, and don't have the money to buy the collection sets, get this here. Peace!

Okay, it's actually better than 1 star..........2007-04-27

...by itself it's better than one star, it's Looney Tunes after all, but when you compare it to the Golden Collection this one is seriously lacking. If there were no Golden Collection, then this would have to suffice. This collection is a little cheaper, but the Golden Collection is so much better and more complete that it's absolutely worth paying a little more. Please, do yourself a favor, DON'T by this collection, and DO by the Golden Colection.

If you're just looking for a DVD to show the little ones what you watched as a kid, this disc will fit the bill. If you're one of those weird, obsessive "comic-book-guy" types that know the directors of every short and all that, then maybe this on isn't for you.

It's 30 bucks cheaper than the golden collection sets and you get plenty of Tweedys (my daughter's favorite), some good Bugs, the very first Road Runner, etc. A good deal for the casual viewer.

Looney.... But Not Enough.......2004-11-20

I really enjoy a whole lot of classic animation that has been coming back to the mainstream recently on video. It has happened with classic cartoons like The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Wacky Races, but also the legendary animated cartoons from Warner Brothers. They truly brought out so much zaniness to peoples' live that really hasn't been seen anywhere else. The two Golden Collections that've been released since last year, have really done extraordinarily well. Unfortunately, even though they are good, they have made a pair of lackluster, cheaper collections that really are more for people on budgets that really acn't afford the bigger, better golden collections.

The Looney Tunes Spotlight Collections: 1 & 2, is a compilation from over 50 classic Warner Brother cartoons. The animation on these collections have been remastered well, and include some remarkable cartoons that feature classic characters including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Daffy Duck and Tweety & Sylvester. The collection includes cartoons like The Great Piggy Bank Robbery, the spin off of Friz Freleng's Rhapsody Rabbit Baton Bunny, A Broken Leghorn with Foghorn Leghorn, and the legendary Chuck Jones masterpiece What's Opera Doc? The animation and the clips about these cartoons fair very well, and have been remastered well, but doesn't really measure up to the feel of the Golden Collections.

The Looney Tunes Spotlight Collection: 1 & 2 is fair, but doesn't compare to the two-pack of the two Looney Tunes Golden Collection editions that Warner Brothers released. I honestly don't suggest this Spotlight Collection double pack, unless you really aren't interested in all of the first two discs from both Golden Collections.
