I just bought this VHS at a Dollar General for $2.50 a week ago. Just wanted to let everyone know, before they started bidding on something they can get for dollars down the road.

Blues Clues is an inspiring television program. The show tells continuing story of a developmentally disabled man's triumph over the struggles of day-to-day living. In each episode, Steve confronts, and ultimately succeeds in his attempts to understand some small, yet important aspect of life.
Amazingly enough, the story of a developmentally disabled man living alone is not sad at all. This is in no small part due to his genius puppy dog, Blue, for whom the show is named. Much like Harvey, the giant rabbit in the 1950 James Stewart classic, the audience is never completely sure whether or not Blue is even real. Despite this ambiguity, Blue plays many roles; teacher, guide, best friend. Their relationship is like that of a more amicable Charlie and Raymond Babbit.
The most amazing aspect of the show is the fact that as an audience, we not only feel as if we are cheering on Steve and his possibly imaginary guide and friend, but as if we are participating as well. His struggles are our struggles and his triumphs are our triumphs.
As with Murderball, Blues Clues never asks the audience to pity Steve for his disabilities. He is noble, strong, and ultimately has more to teach than anyone would expect.

I bought this DVD 5 months ago for our then 19 month old son. It's become the most requested video in our home and I'm constantly bombarded with chants of "Buuue!Buuue!Buuue!" at any given hour of the day. All four of the episodes contained in this DVD are clever, engaging and very entertaining, not to mention filled with fun little ditties that stick in your head. My wife and I are both finding that we now sing "On The Bus" (I'm lookin' out the window/ Drivin' down the street....) each time we pass one on the road; a very catchy little tune, indeed! Steve Burns is so natural and is a sheer joy to watch - wish he were still on the program. We love this video and can't recommend it enough!

Blue's Clues: Bluestock
Today we're having our very own musical concert, right in our backyard! It's a concert filled with lots of our favorite Blue's Clues songs, and we have some exciting animated celebrity guests on hand to add to the festivities. Toni Braxton joins Tickety to sing the Planets Song, Macy Gray and Periwinkle sing The Dance Song, and we have a very special reggae Mailtime with Mailbox and India Arie. Throughout the concert, we play Blue's Clues to figure out what song Blue is going to sing at the end of the concert. And it's not just any kind of Blue's Clues, today we're finding musical clues and recording them with our Handy Dandy Kazoo! We sing Old MacDonald with Blue and all our celebrities before going to Blue's Room to sing a very special rendition of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star with some real live stars (who we learn are actually "glowing balls of gas"!). At the end, we reflect in Journal about how it feels to sing songs you love.

Another good episod Blue's Clue's. Leaning with music, clap hand and sing a song. 2 dvd for $17 with freeshipping is good deal.

My sons received this as a gift and they love both DVDs. Be warned though that if you have a child who doesn't like either Steve or Joe: Bluestock features Joe and Classic Clues (as the name implies) features Steve. My boys don't care either way, but my daughter and niece don't like Joe and therefore will not watch Bluestock.
