Dissapointing, but not a complete waste .......2005-01-28

Well, i bought this DVD at my local HMV and i have to say that i wasn't really impressed.
The "Documentary" feature is entertaining, but its not really that exciting. Its all shot on handheld cameras so don't expect amazing video quality, or sound quality for that matter. It features some interesting on-the-road antics and some decent live footage. Unfortunately most of the live footage is dubbed over with the studio track, which is sort of a cop-out.
The DVD does feature some actual live footage of "This Is How It Goes", "Cut The Curtains", "Line And Sinker", "Living In The Shadows". These are all shot at different locations, and the sound quality ranges from mediocre to absolutely terrible, i could barely stand to listen to some of them.
Now, my favorite part of this DVD set is the Live Acoustic sets, "Standing In The Rain", "Lies", and "Try Honesty" are all featured as decent sounding live acoustic tracks, this was actually one of the biggest reasons i chose to purchase the DVD, and it was not dissapointed.
Also featured on the DVD is some footage some Band Bios (which. unfortunately, someone didn't take some time to spellcheck) and some decent still galleries featuring photos onstage, backstage, and offstage, as well as a few "Aaron's Injuries" pictures.

Its not a bad purchase, but you're definitely spending too much money if you spend over 20$ CAD. And its definitely not for people who are brand new to Billy Talent, but if you love the band you'll probably like this DVD. Especially the bonus footage is worth it for true fans.
It should also be noted that the DVD is Region 0, not Region 1 like Amazon says. So it should play in ALL DVD players.

Not Quite Worth It.......2005-01-17

This is basically an hour long "documentary" about the band's first 2 years on a major label. By documentary, I mean that it's essentially an extended version of the type of on-the-road, backstage footage you would expect to be included as a Bonus DVD with an album. It's interesting enough to watch once, but really unless you're a hardcore fan this is probably just something to borrow from someone else and watch once.
