Product Description
1. "Hey Big Brother"
2. "Born to Wander"
3. "Love it Up"
4. "I Know I'm Losing You"
5. "Ger Ready"
6. "I Just Want to Celebrate"
System Requirements:
It's been rare indeed to see performance footage of Rare Earth caught on camera, but fortunately this release more than makes up for the lack of visual documentation of the bands music. Capturing the band during their reformation in 2004, the band perform a selection of their most popular songs. Highly psychedelic, but with a commercial edge that won over many followers, the band flourished in the live arena, as ROCK N ROLL GREATS amply demonstrates.

Where's Pete Rivera (Hoorbleke)?.......2005-03-19
If you loved the sound of the original Rare Earth as much as I have, don't waste your money on this. Sounds like a group of knock-offs trying to pass themselves off as Rare Earth, WITHOUT Pete. They need to get him back on drums, or at least on vocals, and record a concert for DVD. THAT I would buy. Not bad audio and video, but not the Rare Earth I saw at Portland's Memorial Coliseum with the Doobie Brothers in the winter of 1972-73... I too miss Guzman, as a previous reviewer mentioned. Any way of talking Pete to make a one-time concert appearance with the rest of the surviving members of the band?
Not the Real Thing-where are the Original players?.......2005-02-03
The video has a good picture and sound quality but it does not sound like Rare Earth to me--not without the original players--especially the original drummer who was also the lead singer--now that is Rare Earth--no mistaking Peter's voice--without him or any other original players (from what I can see) this is just an average copy band----take your chances.
Rare Concert!!! .......2004-12-15
Well, I just got done watching my new Rare Earth live video, and first off - let me say this...the sound quality on this DVD is very good. In terms of the footage of the show, it is top notch and shows some great shots of the band as they jam through soem of their best stuff. This is a live concert from a show they did in TN a few years back that included other classic rock artists. If you have ever had the pleasure of seeing Rare Earth live, you'll know that they are one of the best live bands. They extend out many of their songs into long jams with each member getting some solo time. Very cool stuff. As for this particular concert, it is very good..but kinda short ( clocking in at about 45 minutes). It was also sad to see a short version of "Get Ready", which is usually like 20 minutes in concert, but here is only like 7 or 8. Other than that, if your a Rare Earth fan, you'll definitely enjoy watching this DVD...plus it is the only one available from them at this point...so it's worth owning for that reason alone. It would be great to see them release a concert DVD from these guys with the more of the original line-up..like Ed Guzman on percussion...that guy was great and he added a lot to the shows ( sadly...he is dead now). If somebody could find a full concert of these guys with him...I'd say release it!!! Also ,if your a fan of this band..I can strongly recommend the CD - Rare Earth live...it has some great tracks, and documents one of the best live shows I've ever heard...with all the extended jams!!! Check it out.
