If there is something good to say about this series, I can not find it.

As before all you have are repulsive characters, sometimes it has the feel of a reality based TV show, other times it reads like a script for a game show that was dropped by the network. I fail to see why so many people give it high reviews, They are so wrong.

I starting watching this BBC Series on L.O.G.O. but found the cable channel's commercial interruptions and senshorship annoying, so I decided to buy the DVD instead. I found myself hooked immediately at Season 1, Episode 1. I found Season 1 hard to stop watching and ended up watching the entire Season 1 in one weekend. The writing and acting are incredible, the love story simmers slowly and at times boils over. I found I needed to see more, more, more. Since only Season 1 is sold in the US (there were 8 seasons total broadcast in the UK), I ordered the next 2 Seasons from Amazon.com.UK and also ordered an International DVD player since my DVD player was strictly for Region 1 (US) DVDs. I quickly got my partner hooked and we are currently watching Season 3. I have loaned Season 1 to friends in the hopes of getting them hooked as well. I love this series. It is SOOOOO much better than the L Word. Watch it and you too will be bitten by the love bug! Warning, be prepared to break your rewind button!

I stumbled across this show on Logo, wasn't terribly intrigued, but decided to give it a try. It turned out to be so well-acted and well-written that I recorded season one during a day-long marathon and watched them all. I loved it so much that I couldn't watch any other TV shows for two weeks--I had no interest at all. I immediately went online and watched through Season 3. No other show has lived up to Bad Girls. It was like meeting my true love. A silly comparison, perhaps, but I've never before seen a lesbian relationship on television this well-developed.

There is something so emotionally accurate about Helen and Nikki that I'm astounded. Before coming out, there were times in my life when I felt like Helen--confused and in denial. Later, I was in situations much more like that of Nikki. My personal circumstances were certainly very different, but the core emotions are captured so well on screen that I found some scenes hard to watch (although I rewound them repeatedly). Potting shed, anyone? :)

For those who have struggled with their sexuality, it's a revelation and affirmation to realize that we are both Helen and Nikki. In loving their characters, you can find love for yourself.

I'm researching region-free DVD players as I type. I have to own these, and I think you'll want to watch them, too.

With no plans to release any of the subsequent seasons in the US, this season is sure to leave you wanting more! The characters are real, you'll love them and hate them, and laugh and cry with them.

In most of erotic movies I use the fast forward between the sex parts. but in this movie they did it I have to fast forward through the sex parts. so the sex parts are too slow not well cast. the best thing is the cover of the DVD.

I'm a sucker for two beautiful girls doing bad things together, and that cover photo promised at least one hot lesbian encounter on this video. And, in actuality, there were TWO girl/girl scenes. Sadly, neither one of them was particularly good.

The two girls on the box cover are at a sex club of sorts. Their scene together was the weaker of the two. Basically, this other girl is invited to the sex club, and once she arrives this guy tells her to check out the oriental girl and her blonde friend, who then put on a "show" together. It was more mechanical than it was erotic.

Later, the girl goes home and tells her girlfriend about it. Then they both start making out. Their scene was better, but still not all that great.

The video also includes a couple of scenes involving girls with GUYS, but I fast-searched through both of them so I really can't comment on either.

Sometimes it's good to be bad!.......2007-02-26

Boy, I sure do love this movie! That's quite a statement as I generally don't care a whole lot for westerns. This one is a bit of a different sort of western, however. We get to see Madeline Stowe, Mary Stuart Masterson AND Andie McDowell all in one film! I've never cared much for Drew Barrymore, but I concede she does a pretty good job in this movie.

Madeline Stowe still looks good today, but this movie was made in 1993, when she was @ the very apex of her beauty. On top of being gorgeous & having a "mystery" about her (which intoxicates me so!) she is also a bona-fide accomplished actress. It's great to see her go from a naieve woman in THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS to being a tough-as-nails, no nonsense cowgirl in the present flick. She is a much more diverse actress than most women in Hollywood. Now if only she'd agree to a candlelight dinner with me.....

Anyway, this DVD has often been thought of as a female version of YOUNG GUNS. Well, perhaps. However, in my mind, BAD GIRLS is the far more entertaining of the two (I found YOUNG GUNS rather boring). Also, one nice thing about the film is that it is NOT a film that's just set about to glorify male-bashing. While it does set about to accurately depict examples of unfair treatment of 19th century women, it never becomes "preachy." Moreover, our cowgirls stumble across some nice fellas who help them out.

If you like westerns, you may or may not like this one. If you like un-conventional westerns where the main characters are pretty girls (not too many other movies can compete in this category), then this movie is a must. It was filmed in Texas and California & some of the screen shots had gorgeous scenery and a few of the sets really made me feel like I was back in the old west.

This movie could of been way better........2007-02-16

I've seen this movie a couple of times over the years and thought it was decent. Like Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven, Bad Girls begins with the abuse of a prostitute whose vengeance sets the whole plot in motion. But in Bad Girls, plot development is synonymous with costume changes. Chaps, corsets, silks and flannel -- for women on the run who carry no baggage other than their historical baggage as former prostitutes, these four desperadoes scam more new outfits than a bevy of runway models. And at least one of them had to be packing a curling iron. But, okay, this is Hollywood after all, and what's the point of having four women starring in a movie if they don't at least look good, albeit illogical.

The really grievous problems with Bad Girls are its lack of plot and undeveloped characters. On the lam after the most trigger-happy of the bunch, Madeleine Stowe, kills a customer who's roughing up one of the other girls in the brothel, they have very little sense of purpose once they're on their own. With a vague plan of heading toward the Oregon Territory to run a sawmill, Bad Girls moves forward in episodic fashion as they encounter one difficulty (or love interest) after another. You can practically picture it as a weekly TV series that poses hour-long detours on the road to the elusive Oregon Territory. The barrenness of the plot would be less noticeable; however, if there were at least some solid characters to hang the story on. Stowe nicely plays the sternness of her character against the delicacy of her features but even her tough-gal posture is belittled when she is whipped by one man and rescued by another. Masterson, considering her range as an actress of intelligence and physical dexterity, is given surprisingly little to do. As for the others, MacDowell flirts and Barrymore pouts, though each does what she does very well.

The Cinematography is respectable, as is the directing for what the shooting schedule allowed. Not an extraordinary film, but one that entertains on one level. That and the sexual component really didn't need the exposure it received in this film. In other words it couldve been handled more tastefully, or axed altogether.

A female centered Western - this movie kicks butt. I saw this as a teenager when it came out in 1994. Madeleine Stowe, Mary Stuart Masterson, Andie MacDowell and Drew Barrymore star as prostitutes on the run. They killed an abusive customer in a justifiable homicide, withdrew their money from the bank and set out for Oregon. Their money is in turn stolen by bank robbers. Oh, and Pinkerton detectives are chasing after them. It's awesome.

that's how I view this movie... beautiful and popular actresses, lots of action, and a not-to-bad story line. This is one of those movies you can put in during a party and it's entertaining for any short amount of time people choose to look at it... and if you do decide to sit down and get into the movie, it makes it that much better.

Sandee Westgate is wearing a very sexy outfit on the cover of this DVD but, in her solo scene on a motorcycle, she is wearing an even skimpier outfit. She soon sheds that to show her beautiful birthday suit! Alexa Rae also has a solo scene with a motorcycle. Rachel Elizabeth starts out on a motorcycle, but is later joined by Tylene Buck for some girl-girl action. Lolana and Tylene Buck also have a great girl-girl scene. They start out in a police car dressed up as cops, but end up doing stuff that could get them arrested! Erika Jordan has a scene in jail dressed up as a prison guard, and drives a male inmate crazy with her strip tease. The gorgeous Teanna Kai (featured in many Peach videos), Jelena Jensen, Olivia Del Rio and Jamie Lynn also have sexy solo scenes. I only wish that, with so many women, more time couldn't have been spent on each scene.

AVOID GIRLS GONE WILD!.......2006-04-22

I have not bought this particular video, but I did buy another set of GGW videos a few months ago, and I COMPLETELY regret it. This is the worst purchasing experience I've ever had. Many people have complained about the horrible customer service at GGW. In my case, I paid extra on my order for speedy delivery. The charge went against my credit card, so they got immediate payment from me. My videos were supposed to have been delivered within a couple days, but it wound up taking a couple MONTHS instead! And only after I complained did they finally deliver them. But they still didn't reimburse me for the extra expense I had paid for the speedy delivery that never happened. And if that isn't bad enough, for the last month these jerks have been calling me every day, several times a day. I get calls at home, I get calls at work. They called me three times just today. This is harrassment! I'm right now researching what my legal options are because their incessant phone calls are making me crazy. Can you imagine having to explain unsolicited calls you're receiving at work from GGW? Unless you want to go through the hell I'm being put through, do yourself a favor and please avoid these sorry jerks!

Bad Girls, Bad DVD.......2006-02-15

With a title like Bad Girls on expects a little more than the average Girls Gone Wild title. Sure, it is slightly different in format but it fails to deliver the goods.

There is very little of the standard flash for beads or t-shirt that has made this series what it is. There is some but it is not the main thrust of the disk. Instead we have interviews with some girls who give answers and flash a little. There are a couple of scenes with two girls but all but one are of the kiss and hug variety. The remaining one goes a little farther but is filmed to be almost all off camera. Definitely tame compared to earlier releases.

This is one of the mildest of the Girls Gone Wild series that I have ever seen. there are plenty of others in the series that are much better.

I've very tempted by this whole series of DVD's but know nil about them, possibly becaise of being from the uk. Can anyone give some feedback - anything for me to go on would help, or Amazon, please give a more descriptive Editorial Review.

This was a waste of $26 plus shipping. The reasons are explained very well in the previous reviews. It may be a great buy in Europe where cops doesn't air but here in the US I could have just watched the late night reruns on FX and saved my money.

BAD GIRLS FROM VALLEY HIGH (aka "A Fate Totally Worse than Death") is a fun teen comedy along the same themes as Heathers and Jawbreaker. Perhaps this film is most notable for featuring teen heart-throb Jonathan Brandis (The NeverEnding Story II - The Next Chapter, "SeaQuest DSV") in his final screen role before committing suicide.

Teen queens Danielle (Julie Benz), Brooke (Monica Keena), and Tiffany (Nicole Bilderback) rule their highschool with an iron fist. When Danielle sets her sights on football captain Drew (Jonathan Brandis), she enlists Tiffany and Brooke to help in eliminating Drew's girlfriend. But just as Danielle begins to make her move on Drew, beautiful new exchange student Katarina (Suzanna Urszuly) beats her to the prize!

Plus, to make matters worse, a strange curse has come over Danielle and her gal-pals. Slowly but surely, they are transforming into ugly old hags and being forced to buy adult diapers at the local supermarket! What exactly is happening to them...and could Katarina be responsible...?

This mild teen thriller-comedy features some good work from Julie Benz (who also ironically co-starred in "Jawbreaker"). Monica Keena (While You Were Sleeping, Snow White - A Tale of Terror) is also fun. Fans of classic movies will be slightly disheartened to see a clearly-unwell Janet Leigh playing Mrs Witt, the zonked-out patient of a nursing home (also her final film credit); and there's Christopher Lloyd in yet another eccentric professor role.

BAD GIRLS FROM VALLEY HIGH is an enjoyable little movie that would be fun in a double feature with "Jawbreaker" or "Heathers". The supernatural elements in the film will also draw comparisons to "The Craft". (Single-sided, single-layer disc).

PSYCHO MUFFIES.......2005-10-18

This movie is the last film the late Janet Leigh finished before her death. Appropriately so since Leigh's most famous role was as the victim in the classic PSYCHO. She doesn't have a lot of screen/scream time in this film, but she manages to make an impression. Otherwise, this is a dark little comedy in the vein of such films as THE CRAFT and HEATHERS. Three snooty girls (well embodied by Julie Benz, Nicole Bilderback and Monica Keena) have murdered a hunk's girlfriend and staged it as a suicide, all so one of them can claim the hunk for herself. On the first anniversary of the "suicide" a mysterious stranger from Romania appears and the girls are convinced she is the ghost of the murdered girl. They set out a plot to ensnare this girl and once again claim the hunk.
The movie doesn't live up to its possibilities, but there are some genuinely funny lines and scenes, and a good examination of the cliche class of highschoolers. Christopher Lloyd has a Jerry Lewis/Chevy Chase like bumbling role that he carries out with his usual aplomb. All in all, a fun way to spend ninety minutes.

I love teen movies, no matter how dumb they are - and Bad Girls From Valley High (also known as A Fate Totally Worse Than Death) is pretty dumb. It's also a little bit eerie, featuring both Janet Leigh and Jonathon Brandis in one of their final films - although it should be noted that this film actually dates back to 2000. Leigh actually looks pretty bad here, much worse than she did in 1998's Halloween H20. The presence of Monica Keena was what clinched the deal for me, though, and it's really amazing just how much she doesn't look like the exceedingly fine Monica Keena I saw in Jason vs. Freddy. There are some who might compare this film to Jawbreakers, but Bad Girls From Valley High is really not in the same league as that Rose McGowan vehicle. This movie introduces a supernatural element to the story of high school cliquedom, doesn't always have the wittiest dialogue (although a few real zingers slip in there from time to time), and panders to the lowest, most obvious level of comedy time and time again.

Danielle (Julie Benz) is the leader of a little threesome of arrogant, mean high school girls; she and her rich friends Tiffany (Nicole Bilderback) and Brooke (Monica Keena) care only about their pampered selves (although Brooke has periodic misgivings). Surprisingly, though, they don't seem all that popular. No one really hangs out with them except a dumb jock and the class nerd, and poor Danielle is getting nowhere with Drew (Jonathon Brandis) - even after she and her pals kinda, sorta killed his last girlfriend. It's been a year, and Drew still ignores her - but he doesn't ignore the new foreign exchange student Katarina (Suzanna Urszuly). Since Katarina can't take a hint, Danielle begins plotting her downfall, as well. There's a slight problem, however. She and her friends begin experiencing a level of high weirdness in their lives, and we watch the girls rapidly age before our eyes as the film progresses. This leads to a number of embarrassing little incidents and only serves to make Danielle more desperate than ever. She'll sacrifice anything, even Drew, to get her youth and looks back.

Christopher Lloyd plays a suspicious teacher in the film, and he suffers through a continuing series of falls and spills of a painful and comedic (at least that was the intention) sort. These nonstop gags are just way too obvious and overdone, doing the film more harm than good, in my opinion. The ending of the film is good, though, as it actually manages to pull off a reasonably successful little twist - and doesn't end quite the way you might expect.

I'm pretty lukewarm in my opinion of this movie. As dumb comedy, it has its moments - but far too often the humor is strained, and the story is unconvincing. The supernatural aspects of the story reinforce the superficiality of the script, meaning this film really has nothing much to say about high school cliques or the like. I certainly didn't have any high school flashbacks watching this movie, and I don't think many other viewers will either. Bad Girls of Valley High is reasonably funny, but I can't help thinking that it could have been a much better, much funnier film.

This is a very good movie! Somewhat like the movie Jawbreaker, but much better. It also stars the late Jonathan Brandis (RIP), you definitely won't be disappointed if you buy it.

Bad Girls From Valley High is a camp dark comedy that hits stores on March 22nd. Similar to teen flicks "Jawbreaker" and "Heathers," this is a movie that makes a mockery of murder. Julie Benz stars as Danielle, a popular girl with a clique of two friends (sound familiar). Danielle is a mean girl. First things, first, at almost 30 years old, Julie looked far too old to play a high school student, but perhaps she was cast for that very reason. Danielle and her friends are rich and kinda stuck up acting for the most part. One year ago they killed, yes killed, a classmate named Chasity Chase. It was a prank that went wrong. The motive for harassing Chasity is that Danielle has a crush on her boyfriend, who was played in the film by the late Jonathan Brandis. When a new exchange student transfers to the school, weird things start happening to the trio. Things go from bad to worse. Danielle develops incontingence and a hairy mole, and all three girls fall apart. They start to age at a rapid pace.

This film has some funny moments. It is quite camp and ridiculous at times so it's hard to even take the film serious. There are also some very cliche and expected characters like the nerd with the crush on the popular girl, the member of the mean clique which has a soft side, and the white guy who speaks in hip-hop lingo. The late Janet Leigh also stars in the film. It was her last film role. If you like teen films like "Mean Girls," "Jawbreaker," and "Heathers," then you might like this movie.

A rare treat.......2007-06-03

I can't understand why this nifty DVD has gotten so little attention. It seems like it's been rare since it first came out, has no reviews but mine on here, and is already discontinued! But if you like seeing beautiful women playing basketball and football in their birthday suits, this is great stuff! There don't seem to be many DVDs out there where women are actually playing sports nude, either. As, the recent "Playboy's Women of World Soccer" has got lots of sexy segments of posing, taking showers, and so on, but the only soccer going is is a little kicking around in the yard for show. But on NUDE FOOTBALL/NUDE BASKETBALL, they're really playing those sports about 90% of the time. Nikki Nova is the only lady on here I know by name, but I recognize several of the others, and they're all plenty hot. If you saw NUDE POOL PARTY, another good one by DGD, several of them here are on that one too.

Both games start with warm-ups, where the players are topless, then they get totally nude during the games. The basketball segment is the better of the two. The football segment has a lot of shadows in much of the picture, which causes lighting problems as the cameras try to compensate for the contrast. And on the football part, the girls take a lot longer to get totally nude. Well, in both games they DO keep tennis shoes on, so technically they're never TOTALLY nude. Both segments have hot female announcers, who gradually shed their clothing too. Also on both parts, the camerawork is not top-notch, with too few cameras in use resulting in a lot of jittery panning, uneven zooming in and out, and not much choice on which film to use for a shot. Still, it's fairly decent camerawork and picture quality. The whole DVD runs nearly 2 hours, which is very generous for this type of program. The slide show bonus is fair.

In sum, NUDE FOOTBALL/NUDE BASKETBALL is far from perfect, but if you like seeing ladies play sports in the buff, this is one of the best I've seen, and I sure wish I had been there to join in the fun!!

I read the book first, which was very good. It brought the events of Biblical times into today. The video, not as good but I can't give it a bad rating, just not as good. It was more of a narrative presentation.
