Eternally Hillarious.......2007-05-12

See No Evil, Hear No Evil is a comedy classic it has been years snce I have saeen it and I still find myself laughing at all the old antics priceless, absolutely priceless.

Totaly hilarious 80's comedy film........2006-06-24

Richard Pryor and Gene Wilder both star in this hilarious comedy that sees both these characters in some very funny and outrageous situations, Richard Pryor's character is blind while Gene Wilder is deaf but can read lips they happened to be involved in a murder case since they were both at the crime scene but this obviously causes alot of problems especially at the police station "FUZZY WUZZY WAS A WOMAN!!?". The two villians are played by Joan Severance and Kevin Spacey who has a strange British accent they're both trying to kill these guys but couldn't, check out that ridicoulus car chase scene or what I consider to be one of the funniest scenes ever when Richard Pryor as a Swedish doctor who ends up at a confrence starts talking about some gibberish had me rolling on the floor laughing my a** off. If you liked this excellent film then I also recommend these other Richard Pryor films Stir crazy, Brewster's millions and Car wash.

Underrated Classic.......2005-09-11

I've seen this film five times since it was first released.
As I grow in age and watch this movie, I feel almost robbed that I wasn't either around, or old enough to appreciate the pure genius that both Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor held.

This film is about a blind man (played wonderfully by Richard Pryor) who's down on his luck and in need of a job. Luckily for him, a deaf newsstand owner (played with all the comic gusto he can muster by Gene Wilder) happens to be hiring.

Pryor owes a bookie big time, and when the bookie comes looking for him at his new place of employment, chaos ensues because he's murdered. Wally (Pryor) doesn't see it, and Dave (Wilder) doesn't hear it. The murderers get away and Dave and Wally are suspected. Their misson: clear their name.

Craziness and hilarity ensue.

Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor are two highly underrated talents before the camera. The adventures that these two poor characters go through is something that a wide audience can enjoy. The use of two ailments such as deafness and blindness is not exploited or made fun of, just used for great comic timing and situations.

If you're a fan of great comedy, and pretty good action that features two comic geniuses, I highly suggest this film.

MUTE POINT.......2005-09-27

Courageous Oscar winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God) stars as a deaf mute who becomes embroiled in a devilish plot formulated by crooked cop Martin Sheen. She's in possession of a rare coin stolen at Sheen's bequest, and she doesn't know she's got it. Reporter John C. McGinley (dependable as always) hid the coin in her cell phone; his buddy D. B. Sweeney (in a useless Stephen Baldwin impersonation) is called on to help when it looks like Matlin is next on Sheen's hit list. While it's a sturdy thriller, its pace is sometimes static and slow, impeding any true suspense. The ending is fairly predictable and Matlin's attempts to pull an Audrey Hepburn Wait Until Dark admirable, but the movie collapses on itself.

Speaking evil of "Hear no Evil".......2001-10-26

This move isn't horrible, it isn't the worst movie I have ever seen but it left me feeling flat. While some would compare this to the classic "Wait Until Dark" it never comes close to the quality of that film.

The plot centers around the rarest coin in the world. Everyone wants it except for Marlee Matlin, inevitably, it ends up in her possession. This movie has the typical cop on the take, unknown reporter trying to make a name for himself, good guy drawn in by the damsel in distress, and best friend of the heroine along to show that this whole business is dangerous.

The characters are not well developed, and none really earned any sympathy from me. The bad guys were laughably bad (albeit with a taste for opera) and thuggy. even the main characters seemed to never be committed wholeheartedly to the events around them.

The ending might have been a real shocker to those who did not follow the movie closely at the beginning, but to the rest of us it was just marking time waiting for the closing credits to roll.

A Classic.......2000-09-27

Amazing... The ending was a complete and total surprise. It's a classic. Everyone acts good. The plot is quite unpredictable, and I like that in movies... See this movie, and it's well-rounded performance will not disappoint you.

Nail-biting suspence!!!!!.......1999-07-13

This movie was really good. I liked the way the protagonist of this movie tries to figure out what they want from her, and how she can stop them. All throughout this movie I was wondering what was going to happen to the main character, and I was on the edge of my seat. It had so much suspence, and if you view this movie, you will see it for yourself the way it never lets up and delievers heart-stopping performances by all the actors. This was just a really good movie!!!!

back in the day I dug me some Pryor&Wilder. there chemistry always cracked me up. now Silver Streak was a trip,but Stir Crazy really took there pairing up a whole different level. See No Evil,Hear no Evil" cracked me up because Pryor was Blind in the film,Wilder was Deaf. that film still cracks me up. sometimes I go Hopping down the street as they did. Stir Crazy:Mistaken idenity lands Pryor&Wilder's character into Prison. it's a trip how things go down,but they end up being cleared in the end. I enjoyed both films.
