Jake Shimabukuro is a very talented and entertaining ukulele performing artist! Each one of Jake's CDs and DVDs are items everyone should purchase. I highly recommend seeing Jake Shimabukuro live in concert, since it is a show you will never forget!
Not enough of Jake playing the ukulele........2006-03-18
I thought this DVD would feature Jake playing his ukulele more than an exhibition of creative camera work that really took away from the intent of the viewer who came to see Jake's techniques and stylings. I wanted to see Jake's fingering methods, and a complete presentation of some of his more popular numbers. Instead, I felt frustrated when most of the DVD showed only gimpses of Jake, often showing his back, face, and other shots of people and things. Everything except showing his ukulele playing which I thought this DVD was all about. I wish I was able to preview this DVD before I purchased it.
Great Uke DVD!.......2006-03-15
I'm totally impressed with Jake Shimabukuro. I love his style of playing. This DVD gives me a chance to see him play, and get more of a feel for what he is thinking. I hope to see him in concert someday, but this is the next best thing. Very good concert footage. As I watched him I got the feeling that he is a musician that has real integrity and heart.
