WB is a fine pianist and educator. His three volume set supplies the self-motivated, intermediate pianist with enough instruction in jazz theory, reharmonization, improvisation, comping, soloing, etc., to last a lifetime. Given the various costs of private lessons, a bargain at many times the price.

even if you've played a keyboard for a while get the piano one first.......2006-12-04

This is for an electric keyboard and is good if you already know the funtionnig of your specific keyboard model(might I suggest reading the manual first) mine is the Yamaha DGX-205. I suggest getting started on his piano lessons as this details other instrument "settings". Usually the proper way to begin is with a classical instrument. Fortunately, my mother has a well made wooden pinao-black piano(not a grand). Your playing Jazz piano usually with synth organs and other instruments but it is easier to learn with the notes first.
