Janet Davis book, CD, DVD are excellent sources for learning how to play the 5 string banjo. A suggestion for video techniques that would be extremely helpful would be to position the camera so the the views would show the left hand with the right hand by shooting over the left or right shoulder or above the hands to show the movement from right to left and vice versa that corresponds with the person playing or viewing, following the video.
