The Exception to the Rule.......2007-07-06
One of the Best non fiction books I read last year and probably the best book on workplace dynamics, is "The No ***hole Rule". Almost every time I agree with that premise, the exceptions for me are if...
A) You really do know more than anyone else AND no one is listening, and
B) If it is a matter of life & death/ safety
Dr. House continues to be the most obnoxious character on television, and the most compelling. Too bad one never meets Doctors of that caliber in real life! As this season progresses, House begins to pay the price for his alienating behavior.
House continues to be one of the best dramas ever on TV., and one that is really perfect for a DVD marathon to help keep all the threads of the story in your head at once.
House continues to evolve and the story lines stay unpredictable.......2007-07-04
I thought I'd grow bored with the series long before now. But...no...not only does House continue to grow and change, showing signs of humanity (the jury is still out on how MUCH compassion he has and whether he is more self-serving than not) but the other characters are being allowed to grow in surprising directions.
If you are already a fan of this show, then I expect you'll probably want to get this. If not, don't start with the newest boxed set but go back and watch all the episodes. The dialogue is among the sharpest and wittiest out there.
Oh, yeah...if you are the internet searching type, there are some hilarious bloopers to be found on various websites like You...well, you know the name of the site, don't you?
Relax folks.......2007-07-03
Give it a break people and relax. It is television, not every episode can win an Emmy. It is supposed to be fun and for my money it is the best show on TV right now. I own the first two season and have ordered the third already. Loosen up have fun and just enjoy.
I love season 3 of House M.D........2007-06-29
if you like dramas with arrogant doctors, this is the show for you. Seasons 1 and 2 were great, but I'd say this is the best of all three seasons...and hopefully more to come. You should definetly buy this season!!!
Gregory House is awesome!!!.......2007-06-22
Hugh Laurie, comical genious, awesome musician, great dramatic actor, and a very handsome Brit. If you haven't seen House MD yet I would just suggest you check it out it is a great show.

As a pleasant dose of holiday cheer, The Holiday is a lovable love story with all the Christmas trimmings. In the capable hands of writer-director Nancy Meyers (making her first romantic comedy since Something's Gotta Give), it all begins when two successful yet unhappy women connect through a home-swapping website, and decide to trade houses for the Christmas holiday in a mutual effort to forget their man troubles. Iris (Kate Winslet) is a London-based journalist who lives in a picture-postcard cottage in Surrey, and Amanda (Cameron Diaz) owns a movie-trailer production company (leading her to cutely imagine most of her life as a "coming attraction") and lives in a posh mansion in Beverly Hills. Iris is heartbroken from unrequited love with a cad of a colleague (Rufus Sewell), and Amanda has just broken up with her cheating boyfriend (Edward Burns), so their home-swapping offers mutual downtime to reassess their love lives. This being a Nancy Meyers movie (where everything is fabulously decorated and romantic wish-fulfillment is virtually guaranteed), Amanda hooks up with Iris's charming brother Graham (Jude Law), and Iris is unexpectedly smitten with Miles (Jack Black), a super-nice film composer on the downside of a failing relationship. --Jeff Shannon

Customer Reviews:
Great movie!.......2007-07-05
This movie is great! It is much better than I had expected. I thought it would be a light, cutesy, movie, but the writing and acting was superb! Far better than I had expected. There are many clever lines and the acting including great, subtle facial expressions. It is a very good movie!
Better than expected.......2007-07-03
I rented this movie online not expecting much. Too my surprise it was much better than I thought it would be.
love at first sight.......2007-07-03
There aren't too many movies that I watch and instantly fall in love with but it happened here. I saw the film, fell in love with story and the music, bought the score and had my sister join me for an encore performace... all in a single day! I'm a romantic at heart and this film was all about it. Not only that but every character was brilliantly used. From the adorable old man to the fiesty little children and of course the love story, this film is sure to touch your heart!
No Holiday.......2007-06-27
I own the movies Hitch, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Prime - I am a professional chick flick-er. Jude Law, Jack Black are in some of my favorite films. In my opinion, Kate Winslet is one of the most talented young actresses out there. Therefore this film should've been a perfect film for someone such as me - the film had all the right ingredients but the wrong recipe. I was very disappointed with this film. I agree with the other reviewers that the plot of the movie is not so original and is quite predictable. However, most romantic comedies ARE predictable - but what makes the good romantic comedies good is the presentation and the deliverance of the story. This film failed very much in that department. I blame it highly on the script and the editing process. Even with such beautiful people as Jude Law and Cameron Diaz on the screen, the film drags and become unbearable as it progresses. I was very sad as they had such a great cast. And it was a huge disappointment from Nancy Meyers (whose previous film - What Women Want - I enjoyed immensely).
For the romantic!.......2007-06-25
Though not a heart-wrenching love story, The Holiday is a inspiration for the romantic at heart. It causes room for doubt, then offers hope. It's cute...not too deep but still romantic and playfully pleasant. I enjoyed it...have watched it twice. My 15 year old, however, said it was boring and not worth watching. I attribute that to age and the lack of ability to understand certain innuendos.

Great show, great price.......2007-06-12
I recently became a fan of House throughout the course of the 3rd season, and needed to catch up. The two-season set of DVD's was perfect for me. It was an excellent price compared to what the two would be individually in the store. I am only half way done but so far, Dr. House has lived up to my expectations. I recommend this show to anyone!
Superb DVD.......2007-06-10
Well, what can I say about this DVD set.. You get the best of Dr. House in season 1 and 2 and you will enjoy every second of it. In top of all the episods from the season 1 and 2, you get alot of bonus stuff like bloopers and set tour etc. I really enjoyed the DVD collection and it is most deff a good buy...
Not real satisfied.......2007-06-10
The box was crushed, had sharp plastic shards from the casings falling out and 2 of the discs are defective and I was unable to watch. Other than that, the product arrived quickly as promised.

The overall strength of the second season of House, M.D. proves that its first-year success wasn't a fluke. This season starts with Dr. House (Golden Globe winner Hugh Laurie) pursuing his ex-wife Stacy (Sela Ward) and ending with a tragedy that could potentially be deadly for himself and two colleagues. The premise of each show follows a set routine--a patient is brought in with unusual symptoms; House challenges his trio of underlings to diagnose the problem; they treat the patient, usually incorrectly the first few tries; and then at the very last minute--through a revelation that often has little to do with the patient--House figures out what's wrong and saves the day. It would be easy for this set up to grow old fast. But because of the smart writing, nuanced acting, and believability of the characters (who're often dealing with unbelievable scenarios), the formula works on each of the 24 episodes that aired on Fox during the 2005-2006 season. Viewers have been conditioned by the Marcus Welbys of the TV world to think of doctors as saviors. Even on ER, the most narcissistic physician was selfless at heart. But House is a different breed. When he's at an off-track betting parlor and a woman collapses, he doesn't miss a beat. Still eying his race on television, he asks, "Is anybody here a doctor?" He'll mock a sick patient's complaints with a sarcastic, "Boo hoo!" And, if there happens to be a dead body around, he has no qualms about shooting it if he believes that could help diagnose another gun-shot victim.
Not that he's any more reasonable or compassionate to his boss Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein), his oncologist best friend Wilson (Tony winner Robert Sean Leonard), or his young charges Foreman (Omar Epps), Cameron (Jennifer Morrison), and Chase (Jesse Spencer). He instructs his doctors to break into patients' homes as if they're cat burglars. He does not know the meaning of the phrase "politically correct." But because he spits out insults (as if he has a mild case of Tourette's) equally to both his patients and colleagues, the latter never flinch at his constant stream of inappropriateness. When his three young doctors storm into his office to report the declining condition of a patient by blurting out, "We have rectal bleeding," House says, "What? All three of you?" To sensitive Wilson, who is trying to get some work done without being interrupted, House says, "I know you're in there. I can hear you caring." And when Foreman's father says, "My son says you're a manipulative bastard," House replies, "It's a pet name. I call him Dr. Bling." Of course House actually does care about his patients, but he views a good bedside manner as the luxury of a doctor who has a healthy patient. But dying patients with seemingly incurable diseases need something more. They need House. --Jae-Ha Kim

Crankiness you can't help but love.......2007-06-28
Even those who hate Dr. Gregory House are forced to admit it -- the man is brilliant. Relying on his unconventional methods and the three fellows under his tutelage, House (Hugh Laurie) regularly cracks difficult cases that other doctors would have given up long ago.
Ironically enough, the one patient House couldn't save is himself. Seven years ago, he suffered an infarction in his thigh, undergoing a dangerous surgery in an attempt to save his life. While House did survive, he was left with constant pain -- causing him to pop Vicodin like candy, walk with a serious limp, and become filled with even more bitterness than he began with.
It was largely because of this that House broke up with his longtime, live-in girlfriend, attorney Stacy Warner (Sela Ward). Since that time, she's married someone else and moved on. House claims he has, too, although his behavior indicates otherwise.
Added to that, House is antisocial and always thinks outside the box; as one of his fellows once said, "He doesn't even know where the box is." Introspective and much too frank, House is a loner, except for the friendship of Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard), a young oncologist who also works at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, and their boss, dean of medicine Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein).
Despite the verbal abuse and eccentricity that House brings, his three fellows -- Drs. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer), Eric Foreman (Omar Epps) and Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) all know that he's one of the best there is, and working with him for a few years will guarantee them their choice of jobs once they're ready to work unsupervised.
Season 2 includes many guest appearances by Sela Ward as House's ex Stacy, who is hired as a hospital attorney -- causing much friction and longing between the two. There's more about Foreman's, Chase's and Cameron's backgrounds; as well as flashbacks of House's infarction. Foreman catches a deadly disease from a Patient of the Week, and the season's cliffhanger leaves House shot by a disgruntled patient.
Season 2 also includes a number of extras, including bloopers and interviews, which are sure to please any fan.
History, yea!.......2007-06-27
It's fun to get the 'history' of the show since we didn't start watching til this past season. I personally like watching from the first season on, in order.
Tho' like watching "24" to catch-up, it'll spoil you with no commercials!
on pins and needles.......2007-06-27
Very good series I am impatient waiting for the others to come out on dvd.
Hot House!.......2007-06-16
Mea culpa. I'll admit it. I happened upon House mid-second season. Little did I know within a year I'd be hooked, desperate for my weekly fix of the wickedly attractive yet insanely abrupt!
Who needs mind-altering drugs when the creative symbiosis of David Shore/Bryan Singer/Katie Jacobs and the rest of their mojo-magic crew sets lovably perverse genius Hugh Laurie loose opposite affably earnest Robert Sean Leonard to do what only they can do?
Um, taut innuendos, anyone? Unlike some TV actors who can't even eat a sandwich sans cue cards, the talented duo's bickering camaraderie scarfs up the subtext of both female and male dreams. House/Wilson is Greek theater being played out by the American Medical Association's Monty Python Repertory company atop a world stage while perched precariously upon a high wire. With no net, yet. Bravo.
Even though Fox reruns their reruns and USA, too, it's looking like a long, hot, steamy summer until The Boys & Co. are back in town.
Whewwwww.
Until then, I am happy to write The House Blogs! AND House-sit Seasons 1 and 2, for there is a there that is destination worthy until the arrival of the medical narrative's Season 3 on DVD, due out in late August. For in a spectacle to savor when last we saw the low GQ-high IQ Dr. Gregory House, he was running his long lithe fingertips oh-so-gently about the sleek glossy curves of his new musically acoustic lover, virtually about to pluck her into ecstasy, and therein lies my other "problem" with this unquestionably brilliant show:
Gulp. I like this man far, far too much.
Flip this House? No way!
Even better than season 1.......2007-06-16
House, M.D. - Season Two
A great second season, got rid of the annoying boss and got some wierd and disturbing cases to deal with that bring out more in Hugh Laurie's character as well as the strenghts and weaknesses of his team and his friends and enemies. A really interesting twist on the standard medical drama standard.

This movie is well done and has a good story. IF you like the Spenser series and others by this author, you will enjoy the mystery plot. Tom Selleck has enhanced a good story, and plays the part of Sheriff Stone as one would imagine in reading the story.

Product Description
On this inspirational DVD program, Esther and Jerry Hicks present the teachings of the Non-Physical entity Abraham, whom Esther calls infinite intelligence and Jerry refers to as the purest form of love I have ever encountered. The Law of Attraction is never more evident than in the pulse of an Abraham-Hicks Art of Allowing Workshop. And this is one of the years best, The Secret Behind The Secret...so sit back, relax, allow, and attract! Abraham defies explanation. Defies reason. Defies logic. Defies what many call common sense. So forget what you re seeing. And concentrate on what you re hearing. It is the sound of your heart. Beating a little faster and a little truer. It is the sound of Abraham straight up. And once you have heard it, your life will never be the same again. This fascinating DVD, includes segments on the Trilogy, The Meaning of Life and much, much more!
Customer Reviews:
Ah yes, 100 channeled beings have all the answers you seek for a mere $34.99.......2007-06-16
Yet another review I feel compelled to write for those out there who would like to avoid nonsense like this. I must confess, I was an avid Abraham follower for years. I even still listen to their CDs or flip through their books every now and again hoping that what they preach is true. But sadly, it is not. Just to clarify, I think positive thinking, being optimistic and looking on the bright side are all wonderful ways to approach life, but I do draw the line at the concept that we can manifest our thoughts and desires as if we were wishing upon a star. That's just nonsense, as I've discovered, and after The Secret, it's nonsense that seems to be highly in demand.
There's a simple saying that I've learned is rather truthful... 'If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.' That would most definitely apply to Abraham and just about everything they utter or write. I say 'they' because Abraham is a group of approximately 100 or so beings that Esther channels. I ignored that fact and gave their philosophy the good college try, which is to say that for several years I followed their words dilligently, truly believing that I could manifest whatever I desired. But alas, this is simply not so. Anyone can manifest some of what they want the same way we can achieve goals - through determination, applying ourselves and our energy toward reaching said goals, and by not letting things easily deter us from said goals. However, beyond that, you cannot manifest whatever you desire by sheer force of will, which is what Abraham would have you believe, which is what many people have discovered over the years. Life simply doesn't work that way, and wishing it would will not make it so. Believe me, I wish that weren't the case, which is why I keep returning to their work every so often only to discover that my 'vibration' regarding them is very, very low. Perhaps that's my 'inner guidance system' reminding me that the only thing Abraham is good for is motivation. The rest is absolutely worthless.
And for all the Abraham followers who would respond by telling me that my vibration is simply too low or that I'm attracting this experience, let me just say that once upon a time I truly believed in this and was one of the most positive people you would have ever known, but ultimately it made no difference. Daydreaming is not the way to happiness. More likely, it's the way to true misery as we continually seek what we do not have rather than appreciate all that we do. There's a wise lesson in that for anyone willing to heed it.
This DVD is no different than any of the other Abraham merchandise. Take what they offer with a grain of salt. They are wonderful motivators. That I will not deny. It's when you start taking what they offer seriously that you'll eventually discover that we cannot manifest what we desire through daydreams or vibrational alignment or whatever 'tool' they're pimping these days.
A lot of DVD for the money.......2007-06-15
There are two DVDs of very long interviews with Jerry and Esther and Abraham. There are some profound things that I have not heard anywhere else. It was a good mood lifter for me as well.
You've SEEN "The Secret" - Now an Opportunity to LIVE It!.......2007-06-11
Loved the movie! The Teachings of Abraham have got to be the clearest, most loving, self-accountable interpretation of the Law of Attraction that I have seen. This movie introduces the "mainstream" to the concept of "channeled information" and "non-physical energy" in a way that is easily understood also asks (and answers) some of the big questions that skeptics like myself may have had about the whole thing. It empowers the viewer to recognize that we really can Be, Do and Have all we came here to experience! Peter Beamish pulls it together beautifully! A great introduction to Ester and Jerry Hicks other work!Ask & It Is Given: The Law (Ask and It Is Given)
Great information, buta Abraham does not seem real.......2007-06-11
The information is great!!! No doubt about it. Esther is a great communicator and she answers with great depth and detail the questions being asked. The only thing is that she should have left it as Esther's knowledge and her own answers. Rather than making it seem as if some entity from a higher consciousness named Abraham was being interviewed. The reason I say that is because in a couple of the answers, Abraham asks the interviewer as if Abraham wanted to be sure of the question. That showed hesitation in Abraham, who is from a higher consciousness, on the meaning of the interviewer's questions. Shouldn't Abraham already know the real meaning of the interviewer's question??? Also, some of Abraham's answers were vague (meaning too human) coming from a higher consciousness. For example, animals are happy to be eaten because they've signed up for it before they came into this physical world. In reality though, they run scared from their predators and defend themselves to their last breath. Since animals are in tune with their source as stated in the DVD, shouldn't they know that it is their destiny and just let it happen and be eaten??? What about animals in the slaughter house??? From that point of view Abraham lacks respect for life itself. Even though Esther is a brilliant communicator, introducing Abraham in her work makes her work less believable. Besides Abraham, I think the DVD has a wealth of information, and should be viewed from a point of view in which there is no higher consciousness answering questions.
Money ! Money! Money!........2007-06-05
Some of the information on this DVD is inspiring and Esther is very good at answering questions very quickly (she has years of practise),but the whole thing lost its crediblity when "Abraham" was asked about animals and whether it is O.K to eat meat. Esther gave a very shoddy and biblical reply saying basically that animals that came into this world by choice and one of those choices was to be eaten. Now in the natural scheme of things ,if there was no humans in the picture ,there is a foodchain among animals in the NATURAL environment ,but where do you see anything natural going on in a dreadful factory farms where animals are nothing but meat machines. Are those animals happy to be eaten?. Has anyone seen footage of cows escaping slaughterhouses, running for their lives with absolute dread on their beautiful faces?. Has anyone seen thousands of chickens crammed into cages so small they cant even flap their wings once in their lives?.What about all the animals that are skinned alive so that some braindead drugged model can strut on a catwalk.
If the animals chose to incarnate for that purpose why do they show absolute dread when facing death?.
My answer is they are NOT meant to be eaten. The food chain within the animal kingdom is what it is.But humans have evolved enough where killing animals for food is not needed. It is very sad that the Hicks are spreading this rubbish to large numbers of people ,because like any cult leaders ,they have a lot of influence on their followers. I just hope that people who are on a Spiritual path will realise that compassion is real heart of any teaching and the present moment is the place of the sacred. Animals are part of the interconnectedness of life and they deserve the same respect as any person would. The hicks might be contacting a non-physical entity ,but it certainly is not evolved .Do you sense a real peace when listening to Esther or do you ,like me, think her head is going to start spinning around at any moment?.

He pops pills, watches soaps, and always, always says what's on his mind. He's Dr. Gregory House (Emmy nominee Hugh Laurie, Blackadder). Producers David Shore, Bryan Singer, Katie Jacobs, and Paul Attanasio haven't rewritten the hospital drama--at heart, it's a cross between St. Elsewhere, ER, and C.S.I.--but they've infused a moribund genre with new life and created one of TV's most compelling characters. More than any previous medical procedural, it resembles Attanasio's underrated Gideon's Crossing, but House is lighter on its feet. As fascinating as he is, the show wouldn't work as well if it were all House all the time (that would be like Sherlock Holmes without Watson or Moriarty). Fortunately, he's joined by an intriguing cast of characters, portrayed by a combination of experienced vets (Omar Epps, Lisa Edelstein, Tony winner Robert Sean Leonard) and new faces (Jennifer Morrison, Jesse Spencer). Aside from the complicated cases they tackle each week, the sparks really fly when House's brilliant, if naïve charges are put to the test--and as the head of a teaching hospital, it's his job to test them (although his tough love approach is constantly landing him in hot water with Edelstein's administrator). From the first episode, House attracted a talented array of guests, including Robin Tunney ("Pilot"), Joe Morton ("Role Model"), and Patrick Bauchau ("Cursed") as Spencer's father. In addition, Chi McBride and Sela Ward appear frequently (with Ward returning for the second season). Viewers who first watched these 22 episodes on Fox will be gratified to note that the music has survived the transition to disc, such as the Rolling Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want," as featured in both the pilot and season finale ("Honeymoon"). The only apparent omission is the credit theme (Massive Attack's "Teardrop") from the pilot. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

Together with his hand-picked team of young medical experts, he'll do whatever it takes in the race against the clock to solve the case. Check out each gripping episode featuring some of TV's hottest guest stars, including Carmen Electra, Chi McBride, Scott Foley and Sela Ward. It's the intriguing new series TV Guide's Matt Roush hails as "the uncommon cure for the common medical drama."

hmmmm......House.......2007-07-05
I like the show and it brings a lot of truth the medical field.*they don't know everything!* I like the stories and if you want some heart felt stories buy this series. You will love him one moment and then hate him the next. I can take the sarcasm and crankiness but sometimes the things coming out of his mouth are a bit perverted.(He actually asks a little girl if someone touches her private parts in a joking way so she would leave him alone.) If it weren't for that, it would be a 5 star show.
I love it!!.......2007-07-02
These DVDs are definetely worth getting. I love House (both character and series)! This combination drama and comedy is quite possibly the best show currently out. Season one is easily addictive and I found myself saying, "Just one more..." I can't wait till I start watching the second season, which I hope is just as wonderful as the first.
I love house.......2007-06-28
House is the greatest medical show on TV.
Buy this video and sit in front of the tele for a solid day.
House.......2007-06-26
Interesting show. Lots of thought. However, they stick to a format too much. Too many times hearing Dr House say "You Idiot!".
Crankiness you can't help but love..........2007-06-26
Even those who hate Dr. Gregory House are forced to admit it -- the man is brilliant. Relying on his unconventional methods and the three fellows under his tutelage, House (Hugh Laurie) regularly cracks difficult cases that other doctors would have given up long ago.
Ironically enough, the one patient House couldn't save is himself. Six years ago, he suffered an infarction in his thigh, undergoing a dangerous surgery in an attempt to save his life. While House did survive, he was left with constant pain -- causing him to pop Vicodin like candy, walk with a serious limp, and become filled with even more bitterness than he began with.
Who else but House, after all, would think of checking a young nun's uterus for a long-ago hidden birth control device? Or that a mother with schizophrenia might actually have something else that causes her mental problems? Every day with House is an eye-opening experience for a young doctor.
Season 1 also includes a number of extras, including bloopers and interviews, which are sure to please any fan.

This time around, Jesse inherits the Smash Club, the venue where his band used to play. Joey falls for a comedienne who's into insult humor (sooo unTanner.) And Danny wins a perfect-couple contest with an unlikely ñfianc?e.î The girls are busy, too: Michelle enters a soapbox derby. D.J. sweats the SATs and Stephanie starts a new school and makes a surprising new friend. But the biggest surprise comes last, when Danny gets an offer on the Tanner house at double its value. With the house so full and lives so busy, could it be time for everyone to split up and move on?
Customer Reviews:
Try Full Garbage.......2007-06-26
The Olsten twins were just plain annoying, as was the whole cast.
I guess acting skills were not on the job requirements.
The only possitive thing to say about this series is that it made the daytime soaps look good.
Love the Full House gang :-).......2007-06-21
This is still one of my favourite shows to this day. I really enjoy re-watching the episodes over and over again. This is the second to last season and it's one of the better seasons.
Obviously through the years, the kids are all growing up and maturing and that brings about some interesting situations. In the episode Fast Friends, Steph hangs out with kids that smoke and make her feel pressured to do the same. I also like The Apartment where Steve buys an apartment and DJ sleeps on the couch. Danny finds her (after she's late coming home) and gets pretty angry.
Full House is such a great show that I'm sure young kids today would still like, and older 'kids' like me still like because I grew up watching it. There's never been a cooler (or cuter) uncle than Uncle Jesse, and the love between all the family is great and fun to watch. This is one of the better seasons and any fan should definately have this in their collection.

another great season on the way for our beloved "Full House!".......2007-05-28
If there are any television series that have had a difficult time making their way to DVD, this one is definitely not one of them. With the show's second-to-last season scheduled for an end-of-the-summer release (what a great way for fans to launch the new school year), "Full House" obviously continues to uphold its reputation for making terrific sales in the DVD department.
Although Season 6 continues to be my very favorite, this 7th year certainly does not disappoint with a helping of 24 spirited, lighthearted, and enjoyable episodes (per usual, of course). The season opens with the three Tanner girls returning from a fabulous summer at camp, and once they adjust to reality again, everyone begins another year of school, work, relationships, and fun. Family patriarch Danny Tanner is relishing in his engagement to the sweet and caring Vicky Larson, but as she takes a huge step forward in her booming career, and as Danny itches to set a wedding date, it becomes evident that maybe they can't have both. But as Danny fights to hang onto his relationship with Vicky, Joey is trying desperately to break away from Mrs. Carruthers, a pushy and overbearing school board member who really has the hots for him. Jesse and Becky have their own hands full with their two and a half-year-old twin boys, who are growing up right before their parents' eyes. Whether they are flushing Joey's watch down the toilet, throwing food or destroying Michelle's science project, it soon becomes evident that they need to be disciplined--but will Daddy the Softie be able to handle this?
Meanwhile, Tanner daughter DJ, Stephanie, and Michelle are doing some growing up of their own. High school senior DJ starts the year off strong with her longtime boyfriend, but everyone has to grow up sooner or later, and as DJ starts applying to colleges and branching out with other interests, will she feel stifled by her serious romance with Steve? 11-year-old Stephanie starts middle school for the first time and immediately befriends a hip and cool girl named Mickey, but she also butts heads with someone else. The hotheaded Gia initially has an agenda to make Stephanie's life miserable, but when Steph finally reaches her limit and strives to even the score, Gia might finally unleash her more sensitive side. Then there is second grader Michelle, who is trying to achieve more independence from her overprotective father and, later in the season, is perhaps the one most affected by her great grandfather Papouli's death (another excellent episode that allows the uncle/niece dynamic between Michelle and Jesse to shine through).
Season 7 also includes some very special guest stars, including music sensation Little Richard and renowned actress Suzanne Somers, and "Wheel of Fortune" icon Vanna White. If you love this show, definitely be sure to pick this one up on August 7. With a low $23 price (and sometimes less if you buy it at the right place), it's pretty tough to pass up. Now it's time to bring on Season 8, which should easily be available in time for the 2007 holiday season!
FULL HOUSE SEASON 7 .......2007-05-16
Full House Season 7 continues the story of sports caster Danny Tranner who is witowed his wife Pam Tanner is killed in a car accident. Danny rases his 3 daugters with his brother in law Jesse and good friend Joey and Jesses wife Rabecca. DJ,Stephine and Michellie learn more lessons of life (SCOTT WEINGER)Steve returns for season 7 I am a Full House fan I have seasons 1-6 CAN"T WAIT FOR SEASON 7 and then SEASON 8 at the end of 2007. As some of you may or may not know there is NO season 9 from ABC network, Full House was cancelled because too much money was being spent,
1.3 MILLION $$$'s per episode. Season 8 was the FINAL season. ENJOY!

Although it's not as bold as Oscar darling Chicago, The Phantom of the Opera continues the resuscitation of the movie musical with a faithful adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's blockbuster stage musical. Emmy Rossum glows in a breakout role as opera ingénue Christine Daae, and if phantom Gerard Butler isn't Rossum's match vocally, he does convey menace and sensuality in such numbers as "The Music of the Night." The most experienced musical theater veteran in the cast, romantic lead Patrick Wilson, sings sweetly but seems wooden. The biggest name in the cast, Minnie Driver, hams it up as diva Carlotta, and she's the only principal whose voice was dubbed (though she does sing the closing-credit number, "Learn to Be Lonely," which is also the only new song).
Director Joel Schumacher, no stranger to visual spectacle, seems to have found a good match in Lloyd Webber's larger-than-life vision of Gaston LeRoux's Gothic horror-romance. His weakness is cuing too many audience-reaction shots and showing too much of the lurking Phantom, but when he calms down and lets Rossum sings "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" alone in a silent graveyard, it's exquisite.
Those who consider the stage musical shallow and overblown probably won't have their minds changed by the movie, and devotees will forever rue that the movie took the better part of two decades to develop, which prevented the casting of original principals Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman. Still, The Phantom of the Opera is a welcome exception to the long line of ill-conceived Broadway-to-movie travesties.
DVD Features
The special edition of The Phantom of the Opera has two major extras. "Behind the Mask: The Story of The Phantom of the Opera" is an hourlong documentary tracing the genesis of the stage show, with interviews of composer Andrew Lloyd Webber, director Harold Prince, producer Cameron Macintosh, lyricists Richard Stilgoe and Charles Hart, choreographer Gillian Lynne, and others. Conspicuously absent are stars Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford. Both do appear in video clips, including Brightman performing with Colm Wilkinson at an early workshop, and Crawford is the subject of a casting segment. Other brief scenes from the show are represented by a 2001 production. The other major feature is the 45-minute making-of focusing on the movie, including casting and the selection of director Joel Schumacher Both are well-done productions by Lloyd Webber's Really Useful Group.
The deleted scene is a new song written by Lloyd Webber and Charles Hart, "No One Would Listen," sung by the Phantom toward the end of the movie. It's a beautiful song that, along with Madame Giry's story, makes him a more sympathetic character. But because that bit of backstory already slowed down the ending, it was probably a good move to cut the song. --David Horiuchi

amazing.......2007-06-30
This set is amazing! The only thing I wish that was different is that you could get all the non song parts too. Other than that, the songs are wonderful, the music is amazing, and I've learned all the words!
Visually stunning but could have been much better.......2007-06-30
Although I have never seen the stage production, I do own a soundtrack of the original cast. I must say this pales in comparison. The two largest problems with this is that Emmy Rossum can sing but not act and Gerard Butler can act but not sing. Hardly a recipe for something wonderful. Rossum goes through the movie with two expressions, open-mouthed horror and open-mouthed awe. Butler, while he can keep pitch, does nothing close to justice to the incredible songs he has to sing. The actor of Raoul was fairly disappointing as well, not being what one would imagine a young dashing hero to be. The scene of him arriving on a white horse was especially cliched. It didn't help that the fight that follows was pretty unexciting.
That being said, it is a gorgeous looking movie. The sets and costumes are incredible and actually seeing what is happening does clarify some things on the soundtrack. I was let down by the masquerade ball however. Having everyone in black and white didn't make any sense, especially in contrast to the lyric's description of the ball itself. The Phantom in red could still have been stunning without the rest of the costumes being so drab.
All in all I was disappointed. They certainly could have picked better actors/singers to play the leads.
Captivating movie.......2007-06-28
Talk about total obsession, I bought this a year ago and held on to it until I saw the play the other nite, I have to say this is a well made movie, Gerard Butler as the Phantom was absolutely the man for the movie, I cant imagine anybody else playing his part, I saw the clips from the original with Sarah and there's no comparison, Gerard was so powerful as an actor, the way he portrayed the part especially when he was trying to seduce Emmy, sooooooooo sexy, anyway, I give this movie a 5 star.
Nice adaptation BUT some poor performances.......2007-06-23
PROS: For those of you that love the play, this is a great way to enjoy it from home. Emmy Rossum provides a great performance as a very credible Christine Daae.
CONS: It's hard to believe that there was no one better than Gerard Butler to play the Phantom. He just can't sing to save his life. Raoul is also very regrettable.
Magical Enchantment!!!.......2007-06-20
I borrowed a copy "The Phantom of the Opera" (Widescreen Edition)May 3, 2005, 141 minutes Disc-One Set from a Friend and just finished viewing the DVD Tonight!!!! You will want to get the Special Edition, May 3, 2005, Two-Disc Set if you want to view the Special Features which includes Two Major Extras. "Behind the Mask: The Story of The Phantom of the Opera" is an hourlong documentary along with the other Major Extra a 45-minute Making-of the Movie along with some minor extras. I prefer the Special Edition Two-Disc Set over the One-Disc Set where the Special Features are omitted but has only the Theatrical Trailer!!
This 2005 Movie Directed by Joel Schumacher is simply a "Grand Opera Movie" worthy of a 5 Star Rating!!! So, Turn up the DVD Volume and Enjoy!!
If you appreciate the World of Arts and Music you will not be disappointed with Andrew Lloyd Webber's Score!!
Emmy Rossum(Christine)Stole the Show with her Acting and Heavenly Singing Performance!!
Gerard Butler(The Phantom) was the Handsome Phantom with a Good Voice that was Physically Fit allowing his character to be very active in the Movie Opera Play. Gerard's incredible performance of "Music of the Night" was Outstanding and better than Michael Crawford's Voice Bass Notes!!
Patrick Wilson(Raoul)Singing was Good and his Character played the Alleged BoyFriend that was to Rescue Christine from the Evil Phanton!! Supporting Actress Minnie Driver and Miranda Richardson had limited but Solid Roles!!!
The Movie was able to capture the Magical Live Opera Essence with A Wonderfully Lavished Colored Staged along with a complete supporting cast for this Movie Stage Musical!!
This Movie allows the viewer to feel the Musical Opera without actually being at your Local Opera House!!
Magical Enchantment begins in a 1919 Auction at the Paris Opera Populaire when the Populaire VICTORIAN Ceiling Light Fixture CHANDELIER that was damaged long time ago is prepared for lighting before Auction bidding starts where the auctioneer, porters and bidders are present with Two Mystery Bidders???
A Bright Flash of Light!!, like the "Rebirth of a Rising Phoenix from the Ashes" transports the Entire Audience back to the Past in 1870 when the Paris Opera was at its height of Magical Enchantment!!!
The Paris Opera Populaire actually Rises very Slowly and Mystical like a Phoenix before your very Human Eyes until the Magical Live Opera Essence of it's Beauty is fully Transformed and Alive!!!!!
Nothing will replace the Live version of "The Phantom of the Opera" coming to your city but it will be Definitely Easier to Live without until the Live Opera version of "The Phantom of Opera" Arrives!!

Soooo good!.......2007-07-05
If you liked The Secret - you will love these DVDs. They are The Secret put to practical, everyday use.
A real "vibration-raiser".......2007-06-27
I'm a big fan of Esther/Jerry Hicks/Abraham and I never miss them on Hay House Radio on a program called "Ask and It Is Given", excerpted from workshops which are pretty complete audio presentations in themselves.
But this DVD was the first chance I had to actually watch a workshop--and I felt a lot more good energy from it. Abraham speaks through Esther, and the words and body language are logical and loving. Watching the participants' faces during all this is very moving.
Abraham states that the magic key of manifesting what we want is to keep our vibrations elevated--to "be as happy most of the time, as much as possible". Sometimes a hard day at work or a bad dream the night before can make that a tall order--however, I can absolutely state that merely watching this DVD has raised my happiness level when nothing else would work.
Whatever your belief system or philosophy may be, this is a riveting presentation, and I plan to get the upcoming DVD!
The original "Secret".......2007-06-27
Before there was "The Secret" there was "The Law of Attraction". Read the book, then watch this DVD...it's amazing to see Abraham in action. If you truly want to manifest good things in your life, "The Law of Attraction" is a must!
Is not worth it .......2007-06-15
I bought this DVD & I found is not worth it. It's just recorded from one of the public courses they offer just to save money. Also I didn't find this DVD is helpful to learn from it.
Amazing insight!.......2007-06-07
Have to see it for yourself & take it in. This is something that everybody can benefit from watching.
