Excellent dvd movie set, these films are intense.For Adults only, kids shouldn't watch them, even I had twisted dreams sleeping after seeing this.
Devils Nightmare- Slow moving film but makes it a chiller. Vacationers lost on a road trip stumble across an old castle that welcomes guests. Strange events happen, evil succubus, lesbian lovers,killings, creepy.

Pieces - good slasher flick, lots of stabbings,chainsaws,knives,helpless naked women in the shower,weird people at the university.
Someone is killing young girls at the school and how can it be stopped? This has gruesome uncut gore,the beginning scene is incredible what happens! and the ending is a shocker too, poor kid, ouch!

Kill Baby Kill - great atmospheric stylish Balkans in the early 1900's. Story has cursed village afraid to do anything because of something that happened in the past, but it twists at the end to know the real curse!

Kiss Me Kill Me - Wow, hot women,lesbian,dominatrix,photographer,witches,crazy body possesion and nazi's too! very disturbing psycho-thriller kinky.

Good film transfers and audio is ok too.All these movies have plenty of female nudity,and crazed killers...for adults only.

Devil's Nightmare-gotta own it
Peices-the weakest on this 4 pak, but still watchable
Kill Baby Kill-This is an excellent film, but I love these type of movies where a traveler takes a horse driven coach to a remote village and is warned don't go there, but he goes and finds a beautiful woman who had just returned to the town after years of studying abroad and a scared populace. Can't go wrong with me. Then you have Kiss me Kill me, which is a good little raggedy movie, it was also released under another title that skips my mind and I almost bought it again. I have no problem buying several of the same DVDs on but Kiss Me Kill me ain't one of them. I would recommend this 4 pak, hopeuflly Brentwood will bring some othoer classic films out of the closet and release on DVD such as Let's Scare Jessica to death and the Initiation of Sarah.

This is B-movie heaven. I've seen The Devil's Nightmare twice already. Is this Oscar material? Of course not. But as Rob Zombie says in the latest Time Out, these movies are the punk rock of cinema -- tiny budget, sleazy, nonsensical but a great deal of fun.

2 out of 5 stars But a GOOD 2 stars..........2004-11-18

Hey; for this price, you have to pretty much expect four truly bad movies... and this set doesn't disappoint at all in that regard. But they're bad in an Ed Wood sort of way. Lots of fun to watch, and some suprising gore for the time (although the lame special FX kind of spoil things a bit). This is the kind of thing you just sit back with on a lazy afternoon or night, and just watch right through, without paying too much attention to the bad acting and worse plotlines. "Pieces," which features amazing scenery-chomping by both Christopher and Linda Day George (her "triple-b scream" is unintentionally hilarious) is alone worth the price of admission!

Basically, Blood Bath & Beyond is indeed a retrospective DVD documentary of archive footage spanning throughout GWAR's entire bloodshed upon the world. Hosted by Oderus Urungus and Sleazy P. Martini, it's set up like an award show where the material shown represents nominated work.

There's much to see, and some hilarious (bordering on sick) extra features, but being a retrospective DVD I do miss some more background, in-deep reflections by GWAR's members. BalSac, Beefcake, Flattus, Jizmak along with Techno Destructo and Sexecutioner should all have gotten some space to contribute with explainations, look-backs and thoughts. As it is now, the footage kind of have to speak for itself and knowing GWAR it is not always easy to make out where in the timeline to place what.

Overall I enjoy it as a GWAR movie, but it doesn't get as high as it aims.

ok if you are looking for gwar's history, then you thought wrong, well with oderus and sleazy hosting this, you don't get them explaining anything. i guess they wanted to be dicks. personally i think it's funny. it's how gwar has always been. but if you watch the dvd. it kinda shows history. it shows very old (and young at that) gwar before they even had full out costumes. made out of paper macahe (however you spell that). so you actually get to see oderus's face as a young dave brockie and he is funny looking as it is. i'm kinda disappointed thinking they were going to get into detail about alot of stuff, but they don't really. they just show alot of old footage. i'm a die hard fan so i knew not to expect much because all die hard fans should know the story or history anyway. this dvd is nothing but footage and a couple funny laughs along the way. the footage could have been alot better i'll agree, but most def. a pick up for any die hard fan. if you are a person who wants to know a little bit of gwar history, get the skullhedface dvd and check out the special features in that and dave brockie actually tells more about how they found out about all their technology behind a gwar show.

Well, I have always considered myself to be a die-hard GWAR fan, but this DVD really let me down. First of all, Sleazy and Oderus host the DVD, but instead of talking to us about GWAR's history, what we're watching (I dare you to explain the "Chris Pike" footage to me), why we're watching it, how the costumes and stage props are made, what inspired each of the characters' looks or how they work together to write an album, they're deep into their characters and doing their schtick. I think GWAR really missed the boat on this project, as I'm sure their fans would have really appreciated a true behind-the-scenes look at GWAR's history, versus Oderus shouting profanities at the camera, just for the hell of it. And if giving a big ol' raspberry to this thing means I'm not the die-hard fan I thought I was, then so be it, but this disc was a waste of my $15.

If you're looking for a decent GWAR video on DVD, do yourself a favor and pick up "Tour de Scum," "The GWARnage Campaign" or the "War Party" DVD and skip this turd. Sorry, GWAR!

3 out of 5 stars Vintage GWAR - but some of it's not that great.......2006-06-27

I just got the DVD and it has some really nice stuff on it (particularly the Hell-O Again Medley, which I saw them perform at the first 20th Anniversary show at Starland Ballroom). But the quality of most of the footage is what bogs this down a bit. A large portion of the footage is so horribly video taped that you can barely make out what is going on. Some of it is interesting, and definitely worth a look for a die-hard GWAR fan.
