the movie killed off the best character (Preacherman) within the first 40 minutes which is very lame. we are left with the redneck chainsaw boy and dr. boy. the lead girl was a horrible actor and tried to make convincing facial expressions to match her politically charged dialogue, which ended up looking like one long frustrating bowel movement and annoyed the heck out of me. the built black guy was terrible as well and played one of those "trust me i know everything" roles. the one cool guy (the computer programmer) got on my nerves. this just shows this movie needed more action, violence, blood, and less soap opera character development.

Let me start by saying I bought this movie according to the reviews. Everybody tried to tell me how great it was. Well it's not! I wish hell I stayed away. Let start with the plot it could have been good but they screwed it up. It about a Japanese reality show where contestants race for their life for big money while being chased by really silly characters. The acting was very weak and the quality of gore was just to fake. Not to mention the film quality was just like some home video style. No matter what people say about this just back away from this one because the hype does not fit the film.

impressive and thoughtful.......2005-12-14

This film is great for the reason that it takes one of my most hated means of entertainment, reality television, and conjures up the idea of a reality show based upon a group of people who are being hunted down by a group of murderers. Awesome! The gore FX are well done, the acting is good, and the killers are quite colorful characters. I especially like Chainsaw Charlie, a hillbilly who wears an Alfred E. Neumann mask. The segment in the extras where Charlie is interviewed on an "Inside the Actor's Studio" type show is pretty freaking funny. Check this one out.

Better of the B's.......2005-09-02

As far as cheesy 'B' horror flicks go, this is definitely one of the better ones. True, the video quality looks home movie like, the special effects are pretty basic, and the acting somewhat high school drama club, but the creepiness of the story concept more than adequitely makes up for all of these trivial shortcomings. Watching our happless victims navigate the terror maze in this flick reminded me of all of the fun house mazes at Knott's Scary Farm on Halloween, only in this one the gouls who jump out at you can, and will, kill you if you don't kill them first. I found this movie to be a lot of fun. Anyone who can appreciate low brow entertainment and can enjoy horror movies for their own merits will enjoy this one a lot.

This TV show will blow out your mind ! It is funny and it is really cruel. Forget all you have seen before this is a wonderfull movie ! It is a really MUST BUY MOVIE ! You have a mixture of running man a little bit of chainsaw massacre ! Watch it ! Better than talking about it !
I wish there would be more movies like this !

I am a fan of horror movies but these has to be the worst horror movies ever created. Horrible acting("I Hate your brother!, let's get him"), horrible special effects(The CGI is SO bad that the planets have visible sides, SIDES!!!), horrible directing. AHH!!!! everything about these movies is bad.

Wedding Slashers does not cut the cake..or your fear.......2007-05-04

Neither Mary nor her little lamb could save this movie, nor would they want to see it. The actors and actress' are uninspired, armature, and emotionless. The plot is horrible and the direction is the equivalent of a home movie. Do not rent this film unless you're looking for a chuckle at some extremely and overdramatic gore.

However, the films first couple of minutes follow the lives of a couple just married. The acting and plot in this portion of the film is tolerable and even a bit entertaining. The problem with this is, its basically just a scary opener rather than an opener to the plotline itself. Beyond these first three minutes of film, "Wedding Slashers" is a piece of rotten cake.

Note: I never rate anything one or two stars. Everything has its faults, but this is beyond bearable. A usually easy pleaser has been dissatisfied.

Best B horror movie in AGES!.......2007-01-28

Lately, there has been a shortage of really great B horror movies on the market. Most of the direct to DVD horror has been boring or poorly made. Therefore, I wasn't expecting a lot when I got Wedding Slashers. However, I was pleasantly surpised by one of the BEST B horror movies of all time. Then again, it's not that fair to say best B horror movies, since this is also better than most of what's been in the theater, too.

The movie starts off with a bloody double killing in the first six minutes, and the gory thrill ride never lets up from there. All 80 minutes of this movie are packed with brutal murder, fun plot twists, and snappy dialogue. The characters are `real' fleshed out enough that by the end of the film you feel connected to them in a way. The writing and directing are brilliant. I can't say enough nice things about how well this was made on a small budget.

The plot, without giving too much away, surrounds the pain and loss one girl, Jenna, has in her life. Death surrounds her, so it's no surprise when her wedding turns into a murderfest. The reason why is the twist, and I don't want to be the one to spoil that for you, the viewer.

Look, you can see my other reviews and tell, I'm pretty honest. If a movie sucks, I'll say so. But Wedding Slashers is the surprise smash hit of the year and a must have for anyone who likes horror, especially horror with humor and bite.

HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS.

Apparently the producers had to save up their allowances for three whole months (!) to get together enough money to pay crappy actors to spend a day away from their jobs at Wal-Mart; apparently purchased a home video camera (wqhich they probably returned the next day for a refund); and convinced one of their 8-year-old brothers to "write" a "script". People, this one isn't even worth a $4 video rental... you'd get better entertainment value by sticking your finger down a drunk buddy's throat and watching them vomit.

BLOOD GORE AND IN-BREEDING TRASH.......2006-11-25

I have a pretty flexible attitude when it comes to gore and/or sexual aberrations, but WEDDING SLASHERS pushes the limit. The tale of a young woman whose boyfriends end up dying horrible deaths at the hands of her multiply inbred family is ridiculously scripted and the acting is non-existent. The only "name" actor in the cast is Richard Lynch, who doesn't come in until close to the end as the potential bride's father. The movie treats its killings sadistically and there are characters in the movie who we never know who they are. A really bad and not one of those cheesy bad movies. Don't get engaged in this one folks.

'Shaun of the Dead' meets 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre'.......2006-10-31

Wedding Slashers does a great job of satisfying the ever-hungry Horror Crowd's appetite. If you are looking for insatiable gore and evil blood thirsty villians with names like "Sock Monkey" and "The Executioner," then you're in luck. Wedding Slashers promises to shock and startle you from beginning to end - and pulling a page from 'Shaun of the Dead' - there are just as many scares as there are laughable one-liners.

Word of advise - not for those who are weak in the stomach.
