Gave as a gift.......2007-01-09
To my Kiefer-fan friend, and she gave it good word of mouth.
I LOVE this movie!.......2006-07-30
There isn't much to say about it except that it is all around great. Kiefer Sutherland plays a hard cop who has to begin to believe in the paranormal in order to solve a mystery. The acting is cheesey, as are the special effects, but for some reason this is one of my favorite movies. Anyone who likes any of the following should check it out: ghost stories, the x-files/the outer limits, psychic stories, kiefer sutherland.
Skull Smasher.......2006-06-11
"Eye of the Killer" is an excellent small movie. Kiefer Sutherland is police detective Mickey Hayden in a self-destructive mode since the breakup of his marriage. He chases an albino wino who runs out of a convenience store with his Jack Daniels into a vacant warehouse. Hayden falls through a second-story floor and hits his head which starts him receiving psychic visions of the victims through the eyes of the killer. He meets a parapsychologist, Dr. Vera Swann, played by Polly Walker. Romantic sparks eventually fly between the two, allowing Hayden to start to get over his divorce. He lost his wife to police detective John Hatter played by Gary Hudson who seems to meddle in the investigation, eventually pointing toward his guilt. Henry Czerny who was the thief opposite Harrison Ford in "Clear & Present Danger" and has done "Pink Panther" and "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" plays Harvey, a psychic that attaches himself to Mickey Hayden in a gay bar. Hayden frequents the gay bar because it's a place for a straight guy to be alone. With his partner Ray Coombs played by Ronn Sarosiak, they seek to find the serial killer supposedly responsible for a string of murders. All of the murders eventually are solved and improbably point at the owner of a newspaper who was trying to capitalize on the Jabberwocky serial case to heighten the value of her newspaper so it could be profitably sold. Loren Petersen plays the hapless Alice who we see fall down the stairs several times and get her skull smashed. This little drama that was originally an HBO movie works pretty well as a nouveau film noir. Enjoy!
Silly , Predictable, Amateurish Waste of Time and Money.......2005-08-26
It's obvious that my review differs from the majority, but I emphatically stand by my opinion: this movie was really, really, really lousy.
Keifer Sutherland (whom I generally like a lot...he is why I watched this turkey in the first place) portrays a stone alcoholic, chain-smoking, gravel-voiced, burned out bum of a cop who guzzles gallons of booze and staggers from scene to scene like one of the zombies in Dawn of the Dead. This is his worst performance (that I have ever witnessed) and to make matters even more grim, the entire plot is a confusing, poorly-directed mess. I think that the majority of Keifer's boozing is due to his embarrassment over appearing in this truly wretched movie.
If you insist on viewing this bomb, you will hear the word "Jabberwocky" at least 10,000 times (and come to hate it with a white-hot intensity)....you will see Keifer Sutherland's character drink countless gallons of whiskey (often straight from the quart bottle at his desk in the police station) and smoke at least 9,500 cigarettes (this movie could be used as aversion therapy by A.A. or the American Lung Association)....you will see ghosts, apparitions, and silly psychic flashbacks that are about as convincing and relevant as those in "Sabrina the Teenage Witch". At one point, a character wants to convey the name of the villain to Kiefer in a "psychic vision", so rather than just say the name (which would be way too easy), he lures the villain to appear in a mirror ("through the looking glass")....silly.
The basic premise of this movie resembles the TV series "Medium", in which a psychic can sense details about a crime by touching objects associated with the crime....but the TV show is vastly superior in every respect: acting, plot, direction, and characterization. Also, the only psychic visions that a drunk of this magnitude is likely to see involve elephants....pink ones. This movie would not qualify as a tolerable made-for-TV drama...and that is very, very sad.
There are numerous allusions to "Alice in Wonderland" (the original name of this bomb was "After Alice"): Kiefer starts having his "psychic visions" after falling through a hole, a character is named "Hatter", etc. etc. I assure you that none of this cuteness will add to your viewing pleasure in any way.
So, you can listen to the other reviewers and waste your time and money, or listen to the warning I am offering loud and clear: there is a reason that this movie was never released in theaters...and God knows, it shouldn't be released in your home either. Avoid it....you really don't need to hear the word "Jabberwocky" 10,000 times....do you ????
GO ASK ALICE.......2004-09-13
EYE OF THE KILLER is one of those unexpected surprises you get when you see a movie on DVD you haven't heard of before. Kiefer Sutherland plays a cop who is heavy on booze and genuinely disinterested in his life. His ex-wife is sleeping with his boss, and he's become cynical about law enforcement. While buying a bottle of whiskey, a young kid comes in and snatches the booze, leading Kiefer on a footchase, and ultimately Kiefer falls through an opening in an abandoned warehouse and takes a pretty nasty fall. Later, the kid who stole the bottle is brutally murdered. It seems also that the fall may have awakened some kind of psychic ability in Sutherland, who can see the crimes happening, but not the killer, only the victim. Whose eyes is Kiefer looking through?
Sutherland, who is finally achieving just critical acclaim in his hit TV series 24, is very good in this movie. Henry Czerny as the psychic Harvey does well; Gary Hudson as Kiefer's boss is appropriately egocentric and a pain the (...); and Polly Walker as Vera, the psychic, does well. The movie maintains a tense pace and moody atmosphere, and there is an interesting twist at the end I didn't see coming. Also, I loved the music over the end credits---eerie and haunting.
A very solid film worth seeing.

Burned out after seeing one too many homicides, crime scene photographer Joe McCormack (Mellencamp) takes a leave of absence and returns to his childhood home. There he finds the aunt who raised him (Fletcher) ailing and being cared for by Laura, a young deaf woman (Terrylene -- NATUAL BORN KILLERS). Stylish, suspenseful and highly entertaining -- you can't look away from AFTER IMAGE as Joe and Laura learn that the killer is closer to them than they could have ever imagined!
Customer Reviews:
Kind of unnecessary..........2005-12-29
I used to like thrillers over horror movies because I figured that the psychology involved meant a lot more thought needed to be put into the characters and plotline to make it work. Lately that kind of reasoning has been kind of failing me.
Not that this is a bad movie by any means. It's just kind of unnecessary. The idea is good and I'm attracted to it because of a similar situation in a Carl Hiaasen novel. A crime-scene photographer who is severely affected by the nature of his photographs decides to escape for a while, going to stay with his aunt. Unfortunately, a psychopath is loose and chasing down the photographer and his new girlfriend, who is deaf and sees visions of future crimes, a la something like In Dreams and whatnot.
I figured this movie would be interesting to see because of the idea of an "after image" affecting the photographer character and how he deals with his, erm, photographic memory, but it didn't really concentrate on that. I thought it'd be interesting seeing Louise Fletcher, the ol' Nurse Ratchet herself, in a different role than the one that terrorized Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Instead, besides her being older and a bit more heavy, it's not.
I can't really say for sure that this movie is that good or that bad. On one hand, it took the time to really develop an interesting group of characters. On the other hand, most of them were archetypes and presented half of the time in slow motion to create drama. The self-reflective element of the camera or the mirror, reflected and divided imaging and the like, wasn't really there. The director obviously took a lot of time finding ways to present the action through an "other" lens, but not really for any real reason except maintaining consistancy.
I want to say this to the director: good work, now go make something interesting. Maybe we just have someone who needs a bit of practice on our hands.

Most boring movie I have ever seen!.......2005-10-24
How could anyone give this movie a 5 star rating? Eight people watched this film with me and everyone strongly disliked it. H.G
First Rate Film.......2004-04-28
Robert Manganelli's After Image employs an extraordinarily rich cinematic palette. Relying on a sophisticated use of sound and image, often working on different expressive planes, After Image brings together two characters at crossroads in their lives. Joe, understatedly played by John Mellecamp, is a crime scene photographer who can no longer find meaning in his difficult career and decides to return to his childhood home. Laura, beautifully played by Terrylene, is a deaf woman who experiences premonitions. Her most recent visions bring her physically and spiritually close to Joe as they attempt to find and stop a vicious serial killer who preys on the innocent.
There are a number of points that should be brought out. As director, Manganelli is in complete control of his medium and knows from scene to scene, moment to moment, where to lead an audience. Moreover, the subtle undertones of this film, slowly developed in rich poetic ways, makes it so much a cut above the ordinary American film offerings. Exquisitely using the backdrops of western New York and specifically the city of Rochester (home to Eastman Kodak), Manganelli reflects on the genuine human connections people make at very desperate moments in their lives. This is a film about being vulnerable, being melancholy, and also a film about extraordinary human acceptance and forgiveness.
You will not be disappointed in this film. You will walk away knowing you have just seen a film directed and acted by people who clearly are very talented and know how to make intelligent films. You will also not be able to forget it because, like many great films, After Image speaks to you long after you have left the movie theater.

Seven meets Silence of the Lamb!.......2005-10-06
I loved the movie! It was real! It was gritty! It carried me in through to the end!
Ally Walker was so credible with her intriguing personality traits, and yet destinguished research and detective work!
Beautiful!!
I could watch the movie over and over again, and still find more interesting things in the movie!
The only thing I didn't like was how it ended. Rather abrupt and somewhat inconclusive!
YOU'RE IN GOOD HANDS WITH ALLY.......2005-02-04
Ally Walker reminded me of a toned down Charlize Theron in this effectively chilling thriller. Her zesty, controlled and courageous performance highlights this tale of a serial killer who has surgically removed the hands of several young children. The murders occur on the same date, and the victims progress in age over the ten year period. Walker also ties up with a young psychiatric patient who has refused to talk for ten years---she begins to see the connection, as do we the viewer. Martin Sheen has a small role as the sheriff, and Ron Perlman has a small role too near the end, but this is Walker's movie. She comes across tough, yet vulnerable. The plot has some holes: where did Walker get her scars? There is a hint of some kind of emotional trauma, her claustrophobia never being fully explained. And the ending comes rather abruptly without a full explanation of what was going on. Writer/director Michael Cohn makes the viewer put all the pieces together.
But still this is a chilling movie and Walker is perfect.
ALLY WALKER IS A GREAT PROFILER!!!.......2004-08-16
Ally Walker stars as Audrey MacLeah, a profiler from the Texas Rangers helping the Houston Police investigate severed human hands that showed up during a flash-flood. Her lead to the case is a child with psychic abilities locked up in a mental institution. The story also has a sub-plot on how the local police resent MacLeah for being a State Law Enforcer helping them solve the case.
Although the movie has some flaws, it is still a very good suspense thriller & Ally Walker's acting is terrific. The movie was released in 1993. It's a good thing that it will be released in DVD format.
Interestingly though, Ally Walker later went on to star in the TV series "Profiler" (she played a profiler/forensic psychologist working for the FBI) from 1996 to 1999.
'Silence of the Lambs', it's not.......2003-07-14
I watched "When the Bough Breaks" last night as an uncut, no commercials, cable TV movie.
Up front, to give the movie credit, it was entertaining enough. No boredom. Just nagging thoughts.
Too early in the movie, the parallels to "Silence of the Lambs" become very apparent. That started with the isolated underground captivity of the key informant/psych patient and continued all the way through the confrontation with the villain in the basement.
But even before that comes the nagging impression that police department had simply not done a competent investigation. Does it really take a profiler from the state to see all these July 16 connections?
Then comes the prosecutor's nightmare. Ali simply breaks into the house without a search warrant. With all the things she sees, there goes any hope of a conviction. And this is a trained law enforcement officer?
Does a trained law enforcement officer go into as dangerous an environment as that basement without notifying a dispatcher and asking for some backup? Of course, having backup arrive from two miles away would have ruined the climax of the film.
And so many loose ends....
--The predominace of smoking, even extending to the child patient.
--Unexplained scratch-mauling of the profiler's back.
--The disappearance of the police captain in the middle of the plot.
--The ability of a cop to so effectively hypnotize an autistic child.
--The question of the patient's Jordan/Jennifer identity and reason for the wrist markings when the identity of the other twin seems so apparent.
None of these mar the film's entertainment value. It's only afterwards that one feels diminished by a badly written screenplay.
Ally Walker movies.......2003-02-23
I just wanted to comment on the review given by the person From the Phillipines. I have done several querys to find The Profiler tv series on DVD. Will that be coming anytime soon? I would love to see it. Thanks.

A Reprinting?.......2005-09-15
Having recently purchased this item, this item appears to be exactly the same as the "other dvd" of this same title? (Which has excellent, informative reviews if you do a search on Amazon.)
I won't bother with a dvd review here; the reviewers on the other dvd's page captured its essence perfectly.
Needless to say, this OVA has an excellent few side-stories to the manga. However, as far as I can tell, the only difference between the two dvds is the color of the cover.

"Perhaps the good sergeant died of a guilty conscience.".......2005-10-27
I think most anyone who's seen Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), when asked the most memorable scene, would probably reply the swimming sequence featuring Julie Adams and the creature...it had a sort of sensual, romantic poetry to it, along with featuring Ms. Adams in a bathing suit. And I'll tell you what, seeing her some twenty years later in this film, Psychic Killer (1975), she's aged incredibly well, looking about as beautiful as she did back then...older, yes, but no less attractive, in my opinion. Co-written by Mikel Angel (The Love Butcher), Greydon Clark (Satan's Cheerleaders), and Ray Danton (The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond), who also directed here, the film stars Jim Hutton (Where the Boys Are, Major Dundee, The Green Berets), Paul Burke (Valley of the Dolls, The Thomas Crown Affair), and Julie Adams (Creature from the Black Lagoon, "General Hospital", McQ), who was also married to writer/director Danton at the time. Also appearing is Neville Brand (Stalag 17, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn), Nehemiah Persoff (Voyage of the Damned, Twins), Whit Bissell (Soylent Green), Mary Charlotte Wilcox (The Big Bus), Stack Pierce (Cool Breeze, Trader Horn), and Della Reese (Harlem Nights, "Touched by an Angel") in a minor, yet highly memorable role.
The film begins in a state run mental ward, as we see a man awakened in a panic, and run screaming through the facility until finally subdued. His name is Arnold Masters (Hutton), and he's plagued with nightmares about his deceased mother. The back story is his mother was really sick and needed an operation, one which he couldn't afford...no cash, no slash, that's our policy...anyway, the doctor who would have performed the operation wound up murdered, and Arnold, being in the wrong place at the wrong time, was accused, charged, and eventually convicted, all the while maintaining his innocence. Anyway, after his recent raving fit, Arnold is placing in the high security loony ward where he becomes friends with Emilio (Pierce), a voodoo guru of sorts. Emilo ends up taking his own life, but not before leaving Arnold some tools of the trade. Arnold's released (turns out the real murderer confessed) with a hearty slap on the back and a `no hard feelings' attitude from the hospital, and returns to the old homestead, with thoughts of revenge on the brain. You see, while Arnold was away, his mother passed on, and those he sees as responsible must be made to pay. There's the court appointed psychiatrist who testified against him, the negligent nurse (Wilcox) who was supposed to care for his sickly mother, the policeman who actually arrested him, Arnold's attorney who basically sold him out, and so on...and thus Arnold begins using his new powers to have out of body experiences to cause a series of bizarre and unexplained deaths, which baffle the police, including Lieutenant Morgan (Burke). Eventually Morgan does make a connection of sorts between the victims and Arnold, seeks the help of Arnold's doctor from the mental ward, Dr. Laura Scott (Adams), whom both end up looking towards a professor in parapsychology, Dr. Gubner (Persoff) for help in not only figuring out Arnold super whammy powers, but also how to stop him.
I think this is an excellent example of an inexpensive film done really well, displaying how far a solid story, a decent script, a professional cast of actors, and a good amount of effort can go towards producing an enjoyable film, one much better than I would have thought given its B movie trappings. The movie reminded me a lot of an earlier film titled The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971), featuring Vincent Price, in that the main character seeks revenge, through highly unusual means, against those he sees responsible for the death of a loved one. While the death scenes here, which got progressively more fantastic, aren't as elaborate as in `Phibes', they're still entertaining and even slightly comedic. One of the aspects I really liked about this film was how director Danton, who was primarily an actor in his time, kept things moving along, reasonably focused, and used great location shots to his advantage. Very little time was wasted, and my interest was maintained throughout the nearly hour and a half running time. As far as the actors I thought they all did well, especially Hutton and Burke in their roles. In the beginning one can't help but feel a sense of sympathy for Hutton's character, but that changes quickly, especially when Arnold begins playfully taunting the police. One slightly, strange aspect was how far the filmmakers went to prove how deserving each of Arnold's victims were, like the doctor who was about to engage in a sleazy, adulterous affair prior to his death, the nurse who purposely and shamelessly flirted with her terminally ill, bed-ridden patient (exposing her cleavage and such), and the belligerent butcher (who was Arnold's mother's coroner, I believe) who had a penchant for ripping off his customers, and suffered perhaps the nastiest demise. As far as the lawyer character and his eventual fate, there really didn't seem a need to vilify him as most people I know who've had experiences with his ilk would have loved to have done what Arnold did, that is dropping a two-ton cement block on top of his head. Another thing, there was just enough psuedo scientific material, provided by Persoff's character of Dr. Gubner, to lend a sense of believability to Arnold's newfound abilities, thus requiring less of a suspension of disbelief than one would normally expect in a film like this...again, credit goes here to the strength of the material relative to the genre. I also appreciated Adam's character, that of Dr. Scott, a strong, vibrant, caring individual caught between concerns for the welfare of her ex-patient but also fearful of his involvement in the murders. My favorite scene in the film features Neville Brand as a butcher and Della Reese as a dissatisfied customer, the two engaging in a heated exchange with regards to his dishonest business practices. Neither one seemed willing back down an inch...who hasn't wanted to tell off a dishonest merchant at least once in their life like Ms. Reese did here?
The widescreen (1.85:1) picture on this Elite Entertainment DVD release looks very clean and clear, and the Dolby Digital 2.0 audio comes through well. The only extra included is an original theatrical trailer.

Really enjoyable b-movie.......2005-04-03
The basic idea of this is that Arnold Masters is sent to a mental hospital for committing a crime he thinks he didn't commit and befriends a black man who not only believes him but gives him his black magic set after he dies. He is set free from the hospital after some bizarre happenings and comes home to find life in the old house has become dilapidated and filled with cobwebs. Being on his own since his mother passed away, he reads the old letters he sent to his mother and sees that they were partially censored which he finds deeply upsetting. He venges to make the people who done him wrong pay. And he makes sure he does that by using the black magic set he was given. One by one the victims are killed and the police are clueless to who it is until the missing pieces suddenly fall into place.
While the acting may be a bit ropey occasionally, the film plays out extremely well and occasionally has a few blackly comical scenes in the mix to ease the viewer somewhat. The tension though is created well and altogether the film is compelling viewing. Some scenes such as The Nurse's Death will provide enough amusement for all and the operatic property expert might possibly raise a chuckle or two. Sure there are shades of Psycho and possibly The Wicker Man about it ( but the last reference is only somewhat brief ) but the film can easily hold itself on it's own. Ultimately it is a really enjoyable movie but one that is utterly bleak in it's outlook on revenge and loss and the sad ending to this only makes it all the more so.
Can't believe how much I still love this film..........2005-02-18
I was in my early teens when this film came out. I remeber wanting to see it because I was a HUGE fan of Jim Hutton's, and for the most part I enjoyed Paul Burk.
I was so impressed how good Jim Hutton was in this film. He scared me SILLY! Now here it is 30 years later, and he still scared me. Dispite the so so script, this was a really cool B film.
I am still disappointed at Paul Burk's performance, not his best. But still a good film for a late night shiver.
Good 70's chiller.......2001-09-06
Psychic Killer is my favourite 70's B movie. The idea, and story of a killer who does not have to be near is victims, is handled exceptionally well. Jim Hutton is excellent as usual and the supporting cast relish in their roles. One either to buy or to borrow, but you must see it.

Nicollete Sheridan stars in this flick!.......2005-08-10
A woman is murdered and the woman that receives her eyes in a transplant has visions of what happened and decides to solve the case and help the dead woman's family get justice. Nicolette is hot so I didn't mind it, the story was okay.
Look who is the star.......2005-07-13
Nicollete Sheridan is the star, that should tell you something right off. This is a poor, B-rate thriller about a woman who has visions of a murder after and eye transplant. Nothing here is special or scary and the acting is second rate
Un-original........2005-07-02
This movie is a rip-off of THE EYE and BODY PARTS.
Desprete Housewives star is Desperate for a better role and only the desprete enough to follow her career will be despret enough to WANT to see it.
Not Bad...very interesting plot..........2005-06-02
So why the 3 stars...well, this film was pretty good, had a least one big name star in the cast, but it did seem a bit "Monday Night Movie-ish" but that is ok. This appears to be one of those movies that you do not hear a lot of...if anything!! The story was interesting, and it did keep me interested in what it had to offer. Not a bad effort in the least!
Not too bad.......2005-05-30
I think this movie is an okay choice if you run out mega movies to watch. Don't expect too much though. It looks like something you'll find on A&E channel.
The movie is about this woman who had a cornea transplant from a dead donor and she ended up seeing how this donor was killed. From then on you can pretty much guess the rest of the story.
So the plot is average. Acting has its good moments for a B movie but it got worse towards the end. Editing, script, sound, camera, special effects are nothing to speak about.
AND IT'S NOT A CREEPY movie as the name suggested.. just so you know.
As I said, rent it only if you have nothing good to watch.

What A Letdown.............2006-02-26
First of all, I must say that the box to this movie is very misleading! With statements like.... He's Watching, He's waiting, He's not alone and a picture of someone holding a chainsaw!!!, I thought wow, this will be a really good movie. Not the case. This moving is very boring. It takes place in an isolated cabin in the forest with a widowed woman living alone. She meets a man named Michael Bodine and eventually finds out that he is a serial killer on the loose. Before finding this out, Bodine cleverly tries to take on the personality of Lacey's late husband in hopes of gaining her trust and possibly start a romance. Once Lacey discovers who Bodine really is, she begins a fight for her life. This movie could have been worse but it is not a true horror movie for horror movie fans. I've learned not to let the box fool you!!!
How can I put this without ruining the movie?.......2006-02-05
This movie was an unexpected gem...
I bought it for less than three dollars at a BIG LOTS department store and came home expecting a typical slasher Friday The 13th meets My Blood Valentine type movie..
was I wrong..
what I got was something amazing.. somethign smart and clever.. something way more than the DVD box or the trailer promised.. and that was a beautiful thing
I promise you.. if you like obscure movies find this for less than 5 bux and buy it..
At least if you don't like it you won't have spent more than a rental fee..
THIS IS THE WORST MOVIE EVER MADE.......2005-08-27
I really only give this movie 0 stars. I absolutely hate this movie! I couldnt even watch the whole thing, because I'm sure that if I watched 5 more minutes of this movie, my eyes would explode!!!! I would rather gnaw my toes off, eat them, skin myself alive and jump into a swimming pool filled with lemon juice than watch this again. I wouldnt even buy this movie if it was free! NOT RECCOMENDED!
im glad it was only 4.99.......2004-05-20
seriously, sometimes i watch a movie and i think to myself "do the people involved in this project really even care how bad their work is?" or did someone order a group of people to come up with an idea for a movie and make it in a month. to say this movie is bad would be like saying rosie odonnell is kinda ugly. i wont give it the honor of the worst movie ever made, but it is irrelavent, boring, unconvincing, stupid, unstimulating, i could go on. and on. and on... look at the price tag and youll realize there is a reason that its so freaking cheap. its filmed and acted like a soft core porn movie without the sex(which would have made it bearable) DO NOT BY THIS MOVIE!!!!!! or buy it, whatever i dont care
SOMEBODY HELP ME.......2004-01-01
This movie, obviously a labor of love from star/producer Catharina Conti, is one strangely crafted film. Visually, it's very beautiful with the real house, the surrounding woods and the naturally falling snow. It has a haunting ethereal balance that lends much suspense to the story. Basically, it's a two character story, starring Ms. Conti and Brennan Elliott. Now, I have to admit that it does seem long and there are some plot holes that are hard to justify. But I was extremely impressed with the acting. Ms. Conti has a vulnerability and a charm not usually seen in other actresses. She had an identity of her own; a woman still grieving over the death of her husband, unable to let him go, commenting at one point, she'd hold on until something really drastic happened. This happens when an escaped serial killer manages to worm his way into her home. Here's where Elliott comes in. His performance could have been taken overboard; after all, when you're playing multiple personalities, it's easy to go from mild to malevolent. Elliott does it convincingly, sometimes in a quiet look or an unexpected outburst. It's rare to see an actor with such smoldering sexuality bashfully peck a kiss on a woman in such a childish, adolescent way, without coming across as forced.
His game of cat and mouse with Conti is suspenseful, if a little slowly dished out, but the performances are so good, I didn't mind staying with them. And in his last scene, Elliott gives one of the best speeches for a soon to be dead villain I can recall. He actually made me feel a little sorry for him.
HOBB'S END is by no means a classic, but I would certainly enjoy seeing these two actors in future movies.
