Scott Bairstow takes over for Ethan Hawke in this spirited (if clichéd) sequel involving a peaceful Haida Indian tribe and a con man in preacher's garb (Alfred Molina, just oozing evil) in 1906 Alaska. Bairstow discovers his inner wolf as he bonds with the tribe and falls in love with the chief's spirited daughter (Charmaine Craig), White Fang finds true love in a snow-white female wolf, and together they take on the dastardly villains who have stopped the caribou and imprisoned the hunters of the tribe. Less Jack London than a juvenile Dances with Wolves, this clunky but action-packed cliffhanger combines old-fashioned matinee Western clichés with Native American spiritualism and a celebration of nature. Though it's hardly subtle, the energetic action scenes and the beauty of the Alaskan summer make this an engaging adventure for the younger set. --Sean Axmaker

4 out of 5 stars Another Great Adventure..........................2003-03-03

In this movie Jack has gone back to San Francisco and his friend Henry is mining his claim and caring for White Fang.
This story is mixed with Native American spiritualality and mysticism. They are in need of the white wolf (White Fang, or is it Henry?) to lead them to the caribou they are in need of to prevent starvation among their people.
This sequel is very entertaining with beautiful scenery.
A great family film.

3 out of 5 stars Disney made this up........2003-01-23

I've read White fang and there is no mention of Myth of a White Wolf. Disney had to have a sequel, so they made up this story.

5 out of 5 stars Great Family Movie.......2002-07-06

I have watched this movie a number of times and still find the story to be interesting. The simplicity and predictability of this movie makes it a great movie for younger elementary children, but there is enough plot and action to keep the family entertained. I enjoy the Alaskan setting and the images of the Haida village. There is a love story woven in with the young hero's role of finding the caribou and saving the village, but neither plot goes into anything overly sentimental or complicated.

I have used this movie in a fourth grade classroom to have them identify the main characters, the setting, the problem(plot), and the solution: things that are found in any good story, be it written or in a movie. They enjoyed the movie and it worked well for the assignment. This is a great family movie because it contains these basic story elements and does it well, making it watchable again and again.

All I can say is that this was a brillent movie. I'm glad i saw the 2nd White Fang first. The first one was a big turn off to me. The story is about a young man who is having some dificultly understanding the native americans beliefs. With the Help of White fang a a native american girl Henry begins to understand thier ways, but he is soon to discover that the native Americans life is in danger and only he and white fang can save them.

Even a man who is pure in heart,
And says his prayers by night,
May become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms
And the autumn moon is bright.

If you haven't heard this piece of horror-movie doggerel before, you'll never forget it after seeing The Wolf Man for two reasons: it's a spooky piece of rhyme and nearly everybody in the picture recites it at one time or another. Set in a fog-bound studio-built Wales, The Wolf Man tells the doom-laden tale of Lawrence Talbot (Lon Chaney Jr.), who returns to the estate of his wealthy father (Claude Rains). (Yes, Chaney's American, but the movie explains this, awkwardly.) Bitten by a werewolf, Talbot suffers the classic fate of the victims of lycanthropy: at the full moon, he turns into a werewolf, a transformation ingeniously devised by makeup maestro Jack Pierce. Pierce was the man who turned Boris Karloff into the Frankenstein monster, and his werewolf makeup became equally famous, with its canine snout and bushy hairdo--and, of course, seriously sharp dental work. The Wolf Man was a smash hit, giving Universal Pictures a new monster for their already crowded stable, and Chaney found himself following in the footsteps (or paw prints) of his father, who had essayed a monster or two in the silent era. This is a classy horror outing, with strong atmosphere and a thoughtful script by Curt Siodmak--well, except for the stiff romantic bits between Chaney and Evelyn Ankers. It's also got Bela Lugosi (briefly) and Maria Ouspenskaya, the prunelike Russian actress who foretells doom like nobody's business. --Robert Horton

5 out of 5 stars A Classic Horror Film.......2007-04-20

Made during the horror movie heyday of the late 1930s and early 1940s, this classic suspenseful thriller introduced audiences to one of the most well-known movie monsters; Lon Chaney Jr.'s "Wolf Man".

Chaney plays Larry Talbot, who is returning to his home in Wales after spending eighteen years in the United States. Larry's brother was recently killed in a hunting accident. Claude Rains stars as Larry's father, Sir John Talbot. Upon returning home, Larry helps his father install a new lens in his telescope. While peering through the lens, Larry discovers a beautiful girl in the window across the street. Her name is Gwen Conliffe (Evelyn Ankers). Larry goes over and introduces himself, and the two agree to go for a walk together that evening.

Gwen invites her friend Jenny Williams to come along. The three decide to go to have their fortunes told by a group of gypsies who have set up camp in town. Jenny goes first. Gypsy Bela (Bela Lugosi) reads Jenny's fortune. He is immediately disturbed when he sees the shape of a pentagram appear in Jenny's palm. He immediately tells Jenny to leave. Meanwhile, Gwen and Larry have walked off on their own. Minutes later, they hear a blood-curdling scream. Larry runs to investigate and finds a large wolf attacking Jenny. Larry manages to kill the wolf with his silver-handled cane, but he is bitten in the process.

Gypsy Maleva (Maria Ouspenskaya) tells Larry about the legend of the werewolf, and if a person is bitten by a werewolf and survives, they too will become a werewolf. Maleva gives Larry a charm to wear around his neck to protect himself, but he gives the charm to Gwen. On the night of the full moon, Maleva's predictions come true, as Larry Talbot is transformed into a werewolf. Will the charm protect Gwen, or will she suffer the same fate as her friend Jenny?

This movie has remained a classic for over sixty years, and it takes the viewer back to a time before the blood-and-guts horror films were popular, and movie producers relied on psychological terror to scare audiences. There is no blood in this movie, but the viewer is still scared by the unique movie sets, the fog rolling through the trees, and the haunting musical score. Lon Chaney Jr. made his role as the wolf man famous, and he's the only actor to have ever played the wolf man. Although the character was originally designed for Boris Karloff, Chaney made this his signature role. He will always be remembered as the wolf man. The other actors, especially Maria Ouspenskaya and Claude Rains, give good performances as well.

I give this movie my highest recommendation. This film takes me back to when I was a young child, and I used to stay up late on weekends watching the scary movies on television. Remember, "Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolf bane blooms, and the autumn moon is bright".

3 out of 5 stars an OK disappointment.......2007-01-19

for a so-called "classic horror movie" from 1939-41 era this one is definitely the least horrorific.

5 out of 5 stars "Wolf, Gysy, Woman, Murder. What Is This?!".......2006-11-14

"Even a man who is pure of heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolf bane blooms and the autumn moon is bright."

Universal was famous for their horror films and "The Wolf Man" is one of their most entertaining. Foggy sets, a great cast and an atmospheric score from musical director Charles Previn offer late night fun for classic film fans.

Lon Chaney, son of one of the great actors of the silent film era, stars as Larry Talbot. He has come home after the tragic death of his older brother. Talbot Castle, where his father ( Claude Rains) still lives is surrounded by legends of men who turn into wolves at the full moon.

It seems like hog-wash to Larry, who sets his eye on pretty Evelyn Ankers (Gwen). Small romantic touches such as his spotting her through his telescope and immediately becoming smitten lighten the mood and make the events which follow an even deeper tragedy.

It isn't long before Gwen's gal pal is struck down in the woods by something no longer a man and no longer human. When Larry rushes to save her and is bitten in the process his fate is sealed.

Maria Ouspenskaya stands out as the knowing gypsy who forsees Larry's future and tries to help. Once he realizes the legends are true and no one is safe, he turns over the charm given him to Gwen for protection and puts the final touch on his sad destiny.

Curt Siodmak's original screenplay has just the right mix of romance and horror to make this one of the most famous and entertaining of Universal's horror films. Evelyn Ankers, who starred in many of Universal's horror and mystery films, looks lovely in Vera Ralston's gowns and makes the perfect heroine to Chaney's tortured character. This is as much fun as you can have on a rainy night with a big bowl of popcorn. Don't miss it!

5 out of 5 stars The Definitive Werewolf Classic!.......2006-08-05

I can't praise this movie highly enough, it is not only the best of the universal monsters series and one of the greatest werewolf films ever made certainly the definitive treatment, but also one of my all time favourite movies. Lon Chaney turns in an outstanding credible performance worthy of his father the legendary man of a thousand faces, actually the entire cast is outstanding, Claude Rains, Maria Ouspenskaya and Bela Lugosi.

The script by Curt Siodmak is marvellous, borrowing from genuine werewolf folklore and adding its own. The plot device of having the werewolf see the pentagram on the palm of it's next victim is truly ingenious and I don't know why it was never utilised in any of the sequels or any other werewolf films for that matter.

The score by Frank Skinner and Han J Salter is so haunting, and has a nice rich romantic sound to it, especially the cues used in the gypsy camp, if only The Wolf Man weren't a b movie it probably would have won an Oscar.

Lastly it must be said that Jack Pierce's make up and John P Faulton's werewolf transformations really go along way in making this film, who could ever forget the image of the wolf man walking through the fog shrouded forest in search of fresh victims.

5 out of 5 stars The Mother of All Werewolf Movies!.......2006-03-15

Okay, so Universal Studios' 1941 classic, "The Wolf Man," wasn't the first werewolf film ever made. It is still, by far, the most widely known and loved. I mean, what werewolf is more iconic than the one Lon Chaney Jr. made famous?

The story begins with a look at an encyclopedia definition of "Lycanthropy" (werewolfism), making reference to the English village and Talbot Castle that are the settings of the film. We then meet young Larry Talbot, played by Lon Chaney Jr., being driven by a chauffer to his family home, Talbot Castle. Larry has returned, after living in America for many years, to take over the family estate after his older brother was killed in a hunting accident. We learn all this when Larry arrives and is greeted by his father, Sir John Talbot, played by the wonderful Claude Rains. Sir John is an amiable fellow, but still a bit stiff and stuck on propriety. Larry is a laid-back, American-style, "average Joe" type. It's clear that he left Talbot Castle due to the friction caused by being the younger son, second in-line for everything, but he is happy to be back and among family and friends.

Father and son happily agree to put the past behind them and settle Larry into his birthright together, and we soon find Larry and John in the observatory, where Larry works to install a new piece onto Sir John's telescope. Impressed by Larry's skill with his hands, Sir John leaves him alone to finish up. Big mistake! You can't leave Larry alone with a telescope! Larry is the Wolf-Man, after all! Ha, seriously. First thing Larry does is "accidentally" aim it at a bedroom in the nearby village, one just above Charles Conliffe's antique shop. Through the window, he discovers Conliffe's daughter, Gwen, played by the lovely Evelyn Ankers, putting on earrings as she finishes dressing. Naturally, being the wolf that he is, Larry hotfoots it over to the antique shop, and who could blame him? Gwen IS a hottie. If you think the waifish actresses we have nowadays are hot, get a load of 1940s dames! Anyway, Larry arrives and commences to put the moves on Gwen. He decides he is in the market for an antique walking stick. Gwen pokes fun at Larry, saying the dog-handled cane would suit him best, but he settles on a can with a silver, wolf's head handle instead. The handle also features a wolf inside a pentagram, which sparks Larry's curiosity. Gwen proceeds to give Larry a quick lesson on werewolves, as he has no idea what they are. She informs him that the pentagram is the mark of the werewolf, and that he sees it in the palm of his next victim's hand. At the heart of her brief tutorial is the first recitation of the film's legendary poem, "Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright." Larry gets a kick out of the cane's side-story and decides to purchase it. He also makes a date to take Gwen out later that evening at eight, though she insists she cannot go out with him. As Larry exits and Gwen follows, the two see a gypsy cart traveling down the street. Larry suggests that they make their date a visit to the gypsy camp for a fortune reading, though Gwen continues to insist that she will not be coming along. Later on, Larry relays the day's events to his father, Sir John, who is happy to hear that his son is taking an interest in the townsfolk, and who also seems to know the little poem about werewolves that Gwen recited earlier. Werewolves are very popular around Talbot Castle!

8 o'clock comes around, as it always does, and Larry shows up outside the antique shop for his would-be date. Gwen is there too, waiting for him, though she still insists that she can't go. Sure, that's why she brought a chaperone along. Oh, yes, she brought a friend to make sure there was no funny business. You know how hot girls usually have unattractive best-friends around to ruin everything? Well, Gwen Conliffe has Jenny Williams. The three set off together, laughing about the situation as if they were off to see the wizard. As they walk through the eerie woods, Jenny brings up the old werewolf poem again. Clearly, the girls in this village have a werewolf fetish...hmm... When they find the old gypsy cart, Jenny asks to be the first, and Larry and Gwen are only too happy to allow it. Inside, the mysterious and off-putting Bela (the legendary Bela Lugosi) begins to read Jenny's fortune, but clearly he is having health problems. Jenny is disturbed when she notices the pentagram shaped scar on Bela's forehead. Meanwhile, outside and already a distance away, Gwen enlightens Larry as to why she has been so resistant to him. It seems that she is already engaged to the Talbot Estate's gamekeeper, Frank Andrews. Well, this doesn't stop the two from giving each other goo-goo eyes, but they are interrupted when a panicked Jenny sends out a scream in the night as she is attacked by a wolf while fleeing Bela's gypsy cart. Larry rushes to Jenny's aid but is too late to save her. He does, however, manage to kill the wolf that attacked her by beating it to death with the silver handle of his cane. Unfortunately, not before being bitten by the beast himself!

And that's just the half of it! "Whoever is bitten by a werewolf and lives, becomes a werewolf himself!"

A masterpiece and one of the classic "big three" of Universal horror, "The Wolf Man" is a must see film! Half hero, half villain, Lon Chaney Jr. turns in a performance to make his poppa proud! The makeup effects and attention to detail are phenomenal too. The Wolf Man even walks with his heels off the ground! Sure, he's fully dressed (minus shoes and socks), but he still strikes a more imposing figure than you might think! That face is totally wild! There's great chemistry between Lon and the lovely Evelyn Ankers, and the writing throughout the film is pure poetry. Claude Rains and Maria Ouspenskaya are unforgettable in their supporting roles too! A triumph in mood and style, an achievement of paranoia and fear, a study on dual identity and primitive instincts, a film that has inspired countless werewolf films since and several sequels of its own, "The Wolf Man" is still one of the best werewolf films ever made, and it's 65 years old! Props to Universal Studios and director George Waggner for that enormous achievement! Available on DVD in various forms and on VHS, I recommend the "Wolf Man Legacy Collection" 2-disc DVD set to the real werewolf fanatics out there. It also includes the sequel, "Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man," along with "Werewolf of London," "She-Wolf of London," and a handful of fun bonus features. However, if you just want to see the original Universal Studios/Lon Chaney, Jr. classic, look no further! Pick this edition up today! You'll be glad you did! It's great for repeat midnight viewings!

4 out of 5 stars "Tonight on the A.B.C. Monday night movie".......2007-04-18

Yeap, found another of the movies I loved as a kid. Well in truth I've had this one for years(and many times over, I have it in at least four different mega movie packs),bit this is the best copy I have of this corny but effective "Werewolf" chiller from the 70's.
David Janssen(the Original "Fugitive" and a long time favorite of mine) leads the cast as a southern sheriff looking into a rash of killings in his town. There is a level of carnage about the killings that points more toward an animal than a man.
Nothing great here to be sure, but it does have a very sinister feel about the investigation as the leads start pointing to something supernatural, and the attacks step up.
As for the cheese factor, sure it's a 70's T.V. movie, it's going to look fake. If you don't want to pay this much buy one of those mega movie packs and get 49 other movies for about $20.00.

2 out of 5 stars Bradford Dillman As The Amish-Cajun Loup-Garou!.......2006-01-30

If my title makes no sense to you, then you are mentally prepared to see this movie. (If it does, I suggest professional help at once.) This 1972 made for TV stinker stars the normally respectable David Janssen as a sheriff in a backwater Louisiana town trying to track a savage killer.

The story starts with the murder of a girl, and false leads abound: she was pregnant by one guy, smuggling drugs for another, romantically involved with a third, etc. Despite the small town soap opera, David Janssen makes an arrest, but finds he has the wrong guy when the arrestee and a deputy are savagely killed. Throughout this mess there is the old, dying psychic man babbling in French (remember, this is Cajun country) about the "loup-garou." At first I had absolutely no clue what he was going on about, as "loup-garou" is not in my French vocabulary. A quick consultation with my French dictionary shed some light on the situation: "loup-garou" means "werewolf" in French.

When all is said and done it turns out that the werewolf is none other than Bradford Dillman, the smarmy aristocratic Cajun Mogul-in-Chief. The movie doesn't show the werewolf until close to the end, but believe me bad movie fans, it is worth the wait. The makeup makes Dillman look like a very Amish werewolf in the facial hair department. He is also a spectacularly scrawny, agile, and whiny werewolf. I am especially fond of the "werewolf in the flaming barn" shots which are perhaps the least realistic depiction of fire that I have ever seen in a movie. I will not give away the stirring conclusion to the film, but suffice it to say that you won't be even a bit surprised.

This one gets two stars for campy entertainment value. David Janssen is not bad as the sheriff; the rest of the cast is less good, while the townsfolk are downright creepy. A wardrobe warning: be prepared for Janssen's habit of unbuttoning his shirt way too low; his chest hair looks more like a weasel pelt attached to his anterior by Velcro. What I am saying here is that it is really not a good look for him. Recommended for fans of bad movies, werewolf completists, or David Janssen fans.

4 out of 5 stars forgotten little gem.......2005-09-13

moon of the wolf came at a time when t.v. horror films were common and generally good.Because t.v.limited the amount of explicit gore, they had to develop character and atmosphere.
Moon of the wolf delivers on both counts and therefore becomes a tight, scary chiller. The climax being genuinely frightening.
The film also benefits from being filmed on location in louisiana and soaks up the creole/cajun feel with a good dose of southern decay.
the acting is first rate and the direction stays on target.

If your looking for a good horror film, look no further.

5 out of 5 stars insider interest.......2004-12-30

I really liked this movie due to the fact it was filmed largely in my home town of Bayou Sorrell LA. In the year it was produced (1972) this was really a thriller! Special FX were not all electrical and mechanized. The opening scene is actually my Wife's grandparents home which mysteriously burned in 1986. As children in the early 70's all my friends and relatives loved this film and still feel it is one of that era's neatest films.

Enjoy the suspense and thrill of a not-so-scary Cajun werewolf mystery!!!

Another addition to the "mockumentary" subgenre of comedy, Welcome to Hollywood follows a hot, young director who decides to pick an unknown actor and make him into a star. Adam Rifkin plays the director and is also the director of Welcome to Hollywood. The actor, rechristened Nick Decker (played by Tony Markes), is unfortunately a bit of a washout, forcing Rifkin to take drastic measures, including hiring supermodel/actress Angie Everhart (who plays herself with a fine sense of irony) to be Decker's girlfriend in order to stir up buzz. The movie doesn't quite have the laughs or the sting of This Is Spinal Tap, which clearly inspired it, but there is a fairly cutting portrait of people who want to be famous at all costs, despite a lack of any apparent talent. It also has a stunning number of cameos by famous actors and directors ruminating on what makes someone a star, including John Travolta, Sandra Bullock, Will Smith, Ewan MacGregor, Glenn Close, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Jeff Goldblum, and several who actually get worked into the movie's plot, including Laurence Fishburne, Ron Shelton (Bull Durham, Tin Cup), Allison Anders (Food Gas Lodging, Mi Vida Loca), and Roger Ebert (!). One of the movie's strengths is that it's not always clear if these famous folk entirely know that they're appearing in this fake documentary, as they've almost entirely been captured at big events where, in the story of the documentary, the filmmakers went to try to sneak some footage of celebrities. One of the best sequences is when Decker gets a bit part on Baywatch, and we get to watch David Hasselhoff and Carmen Electra play themselves. --Bret Fetzer

3 out of 5 stars I LIKETHESE GUYS!!!.......2001-09-19

Every time I see this film I find a new reason to laugh. With a great concept and a genuinely funny script, Tony Markes and Adam Rifkin here prove that the demented "Dark Backward" was not a creative anomaly. Watching Rifkin and Markes get a bunch of bona-fide stars to be in their zero-budget movie for free is inspiring - a textbook application of the Bowfinger principle - but the real fun here is seeing Markes play all the actors he DIDN'T hire when he was a casting director. These guys are not Farrellys, to be sure, but they're creative and sharp, and until their new collaboration - "Getting Hal" - comes out, this film and "The Dark Backward" will give you strange dreams, indeed.

5 out of 5 stars Funny take on La-La Land.......2000-12-23

This film is a biting take on fame and the city that's on an endless search to foist it on people. Anyone who's ever been on an audition will laugh/cringe as the true humilations of such events are placed squarely in the crosshairs. What this film lacks in production values, it more than makes up for in humor and insight into the world of entertainment. Well worth your time and money.

5 out of 5 stars Enjoyed the movie! Looking for music..........2006-09-15

I enjoyed watching this movie, really liked the storyline. There is a scene when Grace is looking for her notebook where she had some notes for the test, and Casey is off at a club w/ her friends. There is this really cool song playing, that Casey is dancing too. I love that song! Does anyone know what song that is?

5 out of 5 stars I really enjoyed this film!.......2005-06-24

I first heard about this film quite a while ago, and have wanted to see it for a very long time. I am a very big fan of Soleil Moon Frye, and she is the main reason I wanted to see it. When I saw that it was released on DVD I was extremely happy.

From the moment the film started, I was drawn in, and I stayed drawn in until the end. Casey's (Soleil Moon Frye) opening and ending monologue was great, and an awesome way to open and end the movie. The ending is very good, and it leaves you feeling complete. The movie is really about two college roomates who are very different. It is about one of them wanting revenge on the other. The movie is very real, and that, to me, is very refreshing.

The only problem I had with the film was the editing. It is very choppy, and isn't put together all that well, but it isn't a big problem. I only thought about it during a few scenes.

The two main characters are compelling. I have to say that Soleil gives the best performance in the film. The other lead, Cat Taber (who plays Grace), was good, but it felt like her performance was missing something. The other actors were all great as well (Notably Wil Wheaton as Grace's fiance, and Gary Wolf as Casey's friend).

The DVD has no extras at all, though. It only has the film and scene selections (a total of 8 chapters), and if you leave it on the main menu for too long, the movie starts by itself. The lack of extras doesn't bother me, though. It took the film long enough to get released.

While this movie isn't for everyone, I loved it, and will watch it more than once. The DVD doesn't seem to be a big release, so you may have a hard time finding a rental, but it is well worth the purchase price here! If you are a fan of one of the actors, this is a must have DVD!

In closing, I would like to say "How nice, How very, very nice!"

4 out of 5 stars much more than a chick flick .......2005-05-21

College roomies Casey (Frye) and Grace (Taber) are a contempo odd couple. Casey, a quasi goth bohemian-esque performance artist with a penchant for bad boys, sex, profanity and pot, garbs herself in black and heavy mascara. Preppy good girl Grace just wants to ace her classes and wed her frat boy Romeo (Wil Wheaton). When Casey's obnoxious taunts and schemes put Grace's plans in jeopardy, she resolves to get even.

The Girls' Room" nicely develops its characters, resisting the urge to limit them as easy stereotypes.Nor does Amanda Beall's script demonize either character. Casey, it turns out, knows she was dealt a bad hand from the start, whereas Grace subtly begins to question her sheltered Southern upbringing.

Girls room is way more than a chick flick.do to the fact that its verry understandable no matter what gender or race you are.its more or less implies that sheltered well off people have issues too and that their not always the antagonizers like in most mediums.though i don't belive people really denied that,we know that rich sheltered girls have issues aswell.though to be blunt i will say their not the same as everyday people problems but i digress.

Both women are flawed, to be sure, but despite their surface antagonism, each harbors a real desire to explore the other's life. Their mutual attraction-repulsion keeps the tension percolating and thankfully leaves some surprises for the final reel. The characters ultimately emerge in the script as wholly rounded and,as realized in Taber and Frye's empathetic performances, neither easy to like nor completely despicable

5 out of 5 stars Cool Chick Flick!!!.......2005-05-15

Punky Brrewster fans will love this film! Soliel Moon Frye is so hot! A funny and touching coming of age story about two college roommates who are complete opposties. It's a story about friendship and figuring out who you are and where you want to go in life. I bought this for my 20 year old sis in college and she loved it! I thought it was well directed too. I think this is the director's first film. Well done!!

5 out of 5 stars A must see indie film!.......2005-03-21

This film is especially well directed, and flows well. A Southern college story that is both heart-warming and funny. I've seen this film twice and love it. Great performances from Cat Tabor and Soleil Moon Frye. Grab a bowl of popcorn!

This movie must have been a tax write off. It was cheap. The acting was so bad it was almost funny. The CGI FX were ok. The plot and story were laughable. I liked goofing on this movie. Make sure your drinking when you watch this.
This is just a bad movie.

wow i know this is not a high budget film but god this thing is pathetic the aliens are stupid the people are retarded and the end is a pile of garbage...to be continued in alien species 2.... but oh wait this thing was a pile of crap so they didn't make one..if your going to buy this be prepared to laugh at how pathetic it is.

5 out of 5 stars Two good movies at a great price!.......2002-09-19

The 'Editorial Reviews' section above describes the 2 movies, so I'd just like to add that this DVD also contains 2 old 'Casper the Friendly Ghost' cartoons and a DVD dictionary that can be downloaded.
I have 'Moon of the Wolf' on laser disk and was hoping it would come out on DVD, so it was an extra treat to get 'Alien Species' thrown in as well. If you like science fiction/horror movies you'll find that these 2 movies are suspenseful and quite enjoyable.
Besides, you can't beat the price!
