My son watches this DVD everyday and doesn't seem to tire of it. He now adores Barney. This is an older Barney episode but the songs brought back memories of when my girls, now teens, were toddlers and they loved those same songs too.

Great for little ones who are bored with storylines .......2006-05-27

This particular DVD is great for my 15 month old. If your child just likes to dance, sing or listen to music this is the one for you. The special features offer a section called "Jukebox" where only the songs (along with the video)
will play. Since those children younger than two may have a difficult time following storylines or conceptualizing, parents can skip the actual video that combines Barney reminiscing with BJ and Baby Bop about the past with music and singing and go straight to music/singing without a delay between songs. However, if you have a child who enjoys storylines, you can have that as well! This video is great for kids 6 mos- to 7 years old!

Not a Big Barney Fan...But This I Can Handle!.......2005-12-12

Barney and the kids go through a scrapbook, remembering and reliving the good times they have had. Songs and short nursery rhymes/fairy tales are shown. This is relatively quick-paced, and holds my 2-year-old's attention well. Some of the songs included are: Mr. Sun, And the Green Grass Grew All Around, That's What An Island Is, Ta-Ra-Ra- Boom-De-Ay and, of course, I Love You. Ahh! That last one kills me. In all, there are 14 songs performed here.

Very Hiliarious DVD!.......2005-08-22

This is my very favorite DVD out of all my Barney VHS collection. Barney's version of Jack and the Beanstalk is very hiliarous!

I love a good thriller, and i am all for some good old gore, but this flick was absurd. It had terrible actors, and was almost pornagraphic. I dont mind nudity in movies, and my son also like a good horror flick, but i would have died if i had let him watch this movie and he is 15. Nothing good about this movie at all. It barley got watched once and has been in hiding ever since. Dont wast your money on this movie, there a thousands of much better movies out there.

Coming from a girl who loves "Last House on the Left," "Irreversible," & exploitation like "I Spit on Your Grave," & "Thriller: A Cruel Picture," I must say that Scrapbook was BAD! It actually crossed the line of cinematic fantasy, meaning you know its not real. Most pictures like this one, have an element of substance to them... like an actual story and plot. A plot where the action moves the story along. Not Scrapbook. It was just ugly for ugly sake. The actors & crew just wanted to shock. I guess it worked, and I recommend this for those who aren't shocked easily. But coming from a girl who loves her "edgy" movies, this one was just violent rubbish.

I have been looking for some real disturbing movies and this got the reviews I was looking for. The fact is I wanted it to be good. This movie is completely broke, the acting was a$$ ugly. The story was OK but the acting destroyed the focus on that. It is a very low budget movie, so the set and film aspect was lacking. The guy in this movie if far from being believable, you will want to laugh in his face and then watch him cry. Look if you like to watch home movies where people attempt to play a role you will love this. If you are looking for something that will leave a scar this isn't it. If you pay for this make sure you dont have a gun in the house because you will be pissed at yourself.

Not That Good.......2006-04-06

I have to disagree with all the other reviewers here. "Scrapbook" is simply not a good film. It basically illustrates the abduction, humiliation, raping and terrorizing of a female. The main problem with the film, aside from its pointlessness is that the acting is extremely poor. The whole idea of the film is to witness the interaction of the victim and her abductor, but this is entirely undone by the lame acting. The direction is also very poor with continued use of static camera placements that only highlight the fact that these actors are unable to portray their characters. At no time is their any sense of terror properly demonstrated by the female actress and at no time is their any sense of malevolence demonstrated by the male actor. Had this film contained decent acting it truly would have been a horrific piece of cinema, as it is it is nothing more than a geek show.

A REMARKABLE MOVIE WITHIN ITS GENRE .......2006-02-06

"Scrapbook" is one of the movies from the "Most Disturbing Films Ever Made" list every gorehound supposedly should have.
Leonard is a lunatic who keeps Clara in his house, torments her, abuses sexually and emotionally, shoots everything he's doing to her on video and makes her write her thoughts down in a scrapbook which he considers to be some kind of a magnum opus.
Director Eric Stanze made this violent film not for violence's sake, that would be too simple and not interesting at all. He put a lot of effort creating an insight into maniac's mentality and mentality of his helpless victim who learns to manipulate her torturer through her suffering. That is what attracted me in the movie - this killer-victim relations. If it was not for them, the film, shot on video, would seem just another mindless amateur gore flick intended to sicken the audience and nothing more. And "Scrapbook" is indeed brutal and disturbing. It's full of blood, mayhem, naked bodies and torture. Emily Haack and Tommy Biondo (who unfortunately died without having seen the final cut of this work) act awesome, you totally believe them, they did a great job, it's because of them mainly the movie looks so realistic. Of course if you dedicated your life to the search of THE most disturbing film ever, "Scrapbook" is not the one. It really is one of them, but Fred Vogel's "August Underground" for example is by far more messy and gory and disgusting. And more clever I'd say although they both have pretty much the same plot.
But "Scrapbook" is not stupid, it's a good work, I think it found its own niche within the genre, so if you're a collector or just like disturbing films - this one is for you.
What's important, the edition has nice extras - "making of" featurette and interviews with cast and crew. That's a nice bonus that lets you relax after such a grim film and see guys who were doing it are not maniacs at all, but a bunch of very nice people. I had watched all the extras right after the movie itself and I should say I slept better at night than I think I would without them :)

Another Collectable.......2007-01-09

I have every DVD version of Das Boot. I have even watched it with the Audio in German and English subtitles, it never fails to shock me. Together with Anzio & the Caine Mutiny, these movies really start to bring home what our Fathers and Grandfathers went through during WWII, lest we forget!
When you can buy great, multiple movies together like this, it's a no-brainer.

A so sweet and romantic love story!.......2006-12-04

This is the second series of anime that I fell in love with, Marmalade Boy.
It's a love story, and I totally got myself into while watching it, being happy and sad with the story. It was the first time for me to watch a pure romantic anime, and the very first episode of Marmalade Boy I was watching from TV has already caught my heart and mind, the story is sweet enough to make you treasure this anime for life. I kept watching the final disc and can't accept the truth that the story ends, I just wish the story could be more and more, yeah I know the ending is perfect and sweet enough, and I guess I just love this anime so much :) to Marmalade Boy I will give as many stars as I can :)
P.S. On the final disc there is one bonus movie that explains the very beginning of the romance between Yuu and Miki, well i'd better not say too much, it's just sooooo romantic, oh my :)

A Fantastic Finish.......2006-08-16

If you are like me in any way, it's not easy to go and spend nearly $90 dollars on one thing, but if you are thinking about buying Marmalade Boy Ultimate Scrapbook volume 4, it's well worth the money. If you've already seen some of the series and enjoyed it, I guarantee you will not be disappointed with this final box set. The dramatic plot twists just get better and better as the story progresses. This is the anime equivalent of a soap opera, but don't let that scare you away! The plot line is believable, just very dramatic at times. From love triangles to long distant relationships, this is a rollercoaster ride of many emotions you just won't want to miss. If you are a fan of Marmalade Boy already, I also would recommend checking out Boys Over Flowers, both the manga and television series. They differ in plot lines but I've thoroughly enjoyed both! Another great manga and television series to check out is Fushigi Yugi. I hope you enjoy your purchase as much as I have.

Best Anime Romance!.......2006-05-07

I LOVE Marmalade Boy and I'm 23 years old! It's a great show that captures all the topsy-turvy emotions and anxieties of being in love, especially for long-distance relationships. The last few episodes especially are very emotional. I just wish it wasn't so expensive!

Excellect Soap Opera Anime!.......2005-06-11

Marmalade boy is one of the best "Soap Opera" animes out there. Its sailormoon minus all the tranformations and princess crap. Although, I am a sailormoon fan as well. >_ <;

Marmalade Boy is a great series with love and well lots of triangles. In this set everything is finally settled! Everyone is with someone they love and actually live happily ever after. In most animes you don't even get an ending just a cliffhanger. Most people who are not into soap operas would probably not like this anime but unlike some soap operas this one has so many weird twist even I had trouble believing it. I watched this anime when I started high school. When it came out in boxsets I was so overjoyed. Don't miss out on a great series.

This was not only a great introduction/lesson on the basics, but the husband and wife team are quite funny and entertaining. I was pleased with the quality of the product given others I have seen on the market - and there's not a lot to choose from.

I'm not quite a beginner and still, I learned a lot. And though I'm not an avid scrapbooker, I am actually looking forward to buying a few of the tools they used to make scrapbooking a lot easier!

I would recommend this to you or even as a gift. Makes the hobby of scrapbooking a lot less intimidating and sets you on the right path, which is a lot of fun!

My 2 yr old daughter got it as a b'day gift about 2 weeks back and she has been hooked on it ever since. The Numbers Numbers CD is really good. The musical scrap book is also OK. But the Dino Dancing is not that captivating. But on the whole one good bargain.

Love this series!!.......2005-04-25

I just finished the third scrapbook volume and I can't wait for the fourth and final one. As for this one I gave it five stars mostly because of the episode commentary in the extras section on disc two. I have never laughed so hard in my life. The voice actor for Yuu is hilarious and so is the voice actor for Miki. The volume itself is excelent. I was surprised with the new character Kei I can't help but like him even though he's a little devious. Poor misguided piano player, Miki will set you straight. Any way this was a great volume and again you have to see the episode commentaries they are hilarious.

Excellent Anime, This One Lacking.......2005-01-13

Marmalade Boy is an excellent anime and I recommend it for anyone to watch. It's a drama between Miki Koishikawa and Yuu Matsurra. I won't say too much because incase you havn't seen the first volume. I will critique one and two.

When I bought the first I was quite extactic at how excellent it was. The opening theme song is superb but, the end is a little confusing. Who's house is that? You'll see what I mean. It isn't the best animation in the world but, remember it's from 1994. It took them 10 years to get it to the U.S. and translated. In volume one, Miki's parents suddenly decide to swap "parters" with the Matsuuras. Miki is not okay with this at all and she won't allow it. Finally she gives in and they all move in together in one giant house. Over the course of volume one and partially into two, Miki hides it because she thinks people will assume her family is nuts. Miki has to battle between two people. Yuu and her best guy friend Ginta. When Miki was younger she told Ginta something, and wrongly assuming his response, her heart was shattered by it. There happens to be a love triangle between these three! Then you learn about Yuu's past, Miki's best friend Meiko's secret, and a character named Arimi comes in and spoils the fun for all!

I am giving volume two four stars for a few reasons. I thought it was a bit dissapointing on how it seems to drag on. If you have read the Marmalade Boy manga, you can see that the anime has much much more than the manga. In the anime they add a key item that is so important I don't know how they added it in even though it wasn't in the manga, the medallion! That is one of the main things in the anime as well as the robot diary! Also, in the anime they portray Miki as a winy little girl. If you watch it a few times she won't seem like that but, in the manga she wasn't such a "drama queen." Well in this volume a few things are uncovered and Miki learns things from Yuu and Yuu from Miki. As pressures high, love is spuring in the air. In this volume you meet four new characters, Satoshi Miwa, Suzu Sakuma, Anju, and Kei Tsuchiya. Suzu stirs up mishchief, Satoshi "interferes", Anju is a childhood friend with a secret love, and Kei is just a hot head with one thing on his mind, MIKI! Will Yuu and Miki be tested or will "love conquer all"? Also, there is a band that plays and the ending title changes! It's wonderful! ^^

I recommend this to any who likes, shojo, romance, or drama. It's is packed with excitement and is appealing to the heart. This happens to be one of my all-time favorite anime's. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as well!

Marmalade Boy is a super cute series for the hopelessly romantic, and funny enough to hold the interest of the male species :)

A simpler review.......2004-09-28

In this anime, Miki Koishikawa is a happy high school student, then her parents decide to get a divorce. But that's not the worst of it; not only are they getting a divorce, they are marrying another couple who has also decided to divorce (all of them having met while on vacation) and are going to live in the same house. To top it all off, Miki now has a new step-brother (Yuu) who is very cute. The rest of the series involves Miki struggling to accept this new family, sorting out her feelings for Yuu, and dealing with all of the guys who like her and being jealous of the girls who like Yuu. It all ends well, the last scene being Yuu and Miki's marriage, but in between you can get a bit tired of the love triangles (just when you think they have sorted out one problem, they add a new character!). Overall, however, it is a very good shoujo (girly anime).
