A terrific 80's comedy-horror trilogy to have in your collection!!.......2007-06-18
I love these films! The acting is what you would expect, not the greatest although some of the actors do a good job. I enjoyed the first one, but the second is my favorite followed by the third. Pamela Springsteen's performance is a hoot! She has some great one-liners and a lot of comedic dialogue. I don't think I would care for these films unless she was in it because she is great here! I watch them for her alone. These movies to me are not scary, just comical although people who like gore will probably be satisfied as there are some interesting death scenes you won't see in another movie. I would purchase this collection because you can enjoy them over and over but don't expect anything too serious. 4 stars and that is for Pamela's performances! If you don't live up to her standards, don't expect to live at all! (that would have been a great tag line :-)
Good and decent boxed set I like it!.......2007-03-26
I ordered this box set last week and recieved it this week.
I must say I already saw these films on VHS before and they
are much better on DVD in a boxed set. Great packaging I
like how the survival kit was set up. There are also commentaries
for the movies and other features. I liked all 3 films with part
2 being my favorite. I thought part 3 was a bit cheesy but not a
bad film just a bit corny at times.
Great Box Set - But Don't Buy It Here.......2006-10-20
This is a great collection to have for any horror movie buff. The first movie is a timeless horror classic. In true horror fashion, the 2nd and 3rd movies are more or less comedies. This is a great box set, but Best Buy sells it for like $16, so I'd get it there instead of this $35 price that Amazon has.
Nice but overrated.......2006-10-17
The biggest plus of buying the boxed set is the box itself! It looks really cool in the shelf and the red ink that simulates blood is even sticky. The first movie is a good slasher with preteen actors (this means no nudity). the last 10 seconds of the movie will stick with you for a long time. Second and third parts SUCK!
A bit misleading........2006-07-03
This box set is a mix bag of tricks. While I was entertained during these films, I was still feeling like I was being cheated. First of all, I will admit that I had never seen any of the Sleepaway Camp movies before. Being a huge horror fan I made it through the 80s and 90s without never viewing them. I am not sure why, it was not until I was at a Suncoast movie store that was going out of business where the box set was being sold for 40 percent off, that I decided for the price of 21 dollars why not I'd give these films a shot. Well let's just say I'm glad I did not pay full price.
The box set packaging is put together very cool. The remastering of all the films was done equally as well. There are two major problems I had with the films. The first being that I felt they are a bit too much like the Friday the 13th movies. I have always been a huge Jason Voorhees fan and unlike the Friday the 13th films the Sleepaways are just not gory enough. Call me immature but when I watch a slasher film I want gore and lots of blood that's the whole point. I almost felt that I was watching made for television movies, if the nudity and adult language were taken out these films they could have easily been shown on regular TV. Maybe I have Anchor bay entertainment to blame. They could have been edited. Some of the gore scenes did have a bit of a censored feeling to them. But I have many other Anchor bay releases and I know those films are not censored, so why would they release edited versions of these movies.
On the up side of these films they are very funny. Angela is an extremely enterianing character, and these movies reek of everything bad about the 80s. The biggest problem about Angela however is unlike Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and Freddy Kruger she is hardly a intimidating, and powerful figure. Those three mass murders would finish her off in 2 seconds. I guess maybe the Sleepaway Camp movies are supposed to be parodies of the horror movies of the 80s. I will say however that the death scenes are creative and funny which is an important element to any slasher film. For the price I paid for this box set I'm not sorry I bought it. The films are certainly not the worst horror movies I have ever seen. They are a decent viewing, just not enough blood and gore for slasher films.

Sleepaway Camp.......2007-05-14
Plot - "After a horrible boating accident kills her family, Angela, a shy and sullen young girl, moves in with her eccentric aunt Martha, alongside her protective cousin Ricky. One summer, Martha sends the kids to Camp Arawak. Soon after their arrival, a series of bizarre and increasingly violent accidents begins to claim the lives of various campers. Who is the twisted individual behind these murders? The disclosure of the murderer's identity is the most shocking climax in the history of American cinema." - [...]
My thoughts - The film was enjoyable in that the build up to the climax was affective. The acting is bad, but in a cheesy horror movie way. I've always viewed horror films with the idea that the acting is going to be decent at best, so no problems there. The murder scenes are set up to let you in on the fact that the person doing the killing is a familiar face. This move is affective in that you immediately dismiss the notion that it might be some brutal looking madman and quickly realize that it's one of the teen campers. Your mind begins to lock into the traditional who-done-it mode of thinking, which makes the end even more surprising. The Director (Robert Hiltzik)set's up the murders and the scene's directly follwing the murder's in a way that eliminates certain characters as the possible killer. What's left are two (at most) possible killers, and judging by the plot line ONE option seems to be the obvious choice, again aiding the shock that ensues at the end. The shock lies in the climax of the film. The final 2 minutes (approx.) of this movie are crazy, it's like two different films as far as the approach and creepy aspect. The mood is eerie, film stock looks different and the end result is downright spooky and shocking.
I'll Never Forget The Ending.......2007-02-15
It's been many, many years since I last saw this movie, but I remember it very well. I was real young when I first watched it, but I have seen it several times since but it has been several years since I last saw it.
It is one of those movies that shocks you so badly that you never forget its ending. NEVER!!!
She is a real carpenter's dream.......2007-01-19
This one is from the days when guys had feathered hair and wore short shorts, cut-off shirts and knee-high socks. Style aside, this film really is different from your average, cookie cutter slasher flick. It attempts character development, isn't exploitive when it easily could be, and tries to build suspense as a mystery. The kids at Camp Arawak have personalities and are (sometimes) driven by more than merely their libidos. In addition, rather than simply presenting a series of murders whereby the filmmakers try to see how creative they can be, this movie shows life at a summer camp by including activities such as softball games and socials. Unfortunately, this does not always make for an exciting film. The movie begins when a man and his two children are run over by a boat, though we aren't given much information about them. Fast-forward eight years to when young teens Ricky and his cousin, Angela, bid their truly peculiar Aunt Martha adieu and head to Camp Arawak for the summer. Many of the kids, including the counselors, pick on the catatonic Angela because she doesn't communicate with them. Then, people begin suffering horrible fates, including death. You'll pretty much be able to guess the film's "surprise," though it isn't confirmed until the final scene. The movie's real shock is the highly improbable pairing of two of the characters: not only does the pretty teenage counselor, Meg, make a date with the sixty-ish Mel (played by Mike Kellin, who died the year of this film's release), she seems genuinely excited about it! Weird! The movie itself garners a solid 2.5 stars, though the DVD gets an extra ½ star. Anchor Bay (the Criterion of B movies) once again deserves credit for resurrecting a semi-interesting B film and presenting it with a clean transfer in widescreen format. As always, an insert with original artwork from the film's advertisement is included.
Underrated slasher from the 80's.......2006-12-15
In the early 80's, with the runaway success of slasher movie series' like Halloween and Friday the 13th, there were a host of cheaply made films released over the years. One of these was the original Sleepaway Camp, which didn't offer a whole lot in terms of blood or gore, but offered a nice sense of suspense, dread, and a twist ending that is still memorable to this day. Young Angela (Felissa Rose) just experienced a family tragedy, and soon finds herself sent to a summer camp loaded with some unsavory individuals. Soon enough, someone starts picking them off, and it soon becomes quite apparent that a killer walks among the campers. For those who have never seen Sleepaway Camp but have seen plenty of slasher movies, there isn't really anything here that you haven't seen before. However, what set the film apart from the pack was it's twist ending which is worth the price of admission alone. Forget the ultra lame sequels that came out after this, the original Sleepaway Camp is the best of the series, and pretty much the only one worth seeing.
wow.......2006-12-04
I thought I had seen most horror movies of the 80's but this was a new one for me. The ending was so unpredictable.

Good Stuff.......2007-06-17
This is one of the better horror-comedies out there, IMO. It isn't exactly completely original, but it's different enough from other horror-comedies that it feels unique. The acting really isn't that bad, especially for a late-80's horror film. Angela in particular is a memorable character in the horror genre. And the comedy has some wonderfully offbeat humor. Oh yeah, and there are some interesting kills as well! The guys will especially like the performance of Valerie Hartman, I'm sure. If you like campy horror-comedy, definitely get this one.
Just as good as the original!.......2007-05-01
There's a new counselor at Camp Rolling Hills just near Camp Arawak named Angela (Pamela Springstein) as the happy campers seem to be dying mysteriously one by one by a psychotic killer.
A funny and entertaining sequel to the shocking and outrageous 1983 slasher shocker "Sleepaway Camp" is just as good as the original movie! the make-up effects and splatter effects by Bill Johnson are gruesome especially some of the imaginative death scenes like girl drowning in a outhouse and battery acid to the face. Before "Scream" parodied the slasher genre there was this movie with spoofs to "Nightmare on Elm Street", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Friday The 13th".
The DVD has a crisp transfer and good audio with some fine extras like audio commentary, behind the scenes footage and outtakes, trailer, teaser to "Sleepaway Camp III" and still galleries.
Not half bad sequel .......2006-12-20
The original Sleepaway Camp was an underrated slasher romp that had a great twist to it, and considering this was the 80's and slashers were everywhere, it was only natural that a sequel would be due. Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers finds demented Angela (Pamela "sister of Bruce" Springsteen) as a counselor at the re-opened camp, and wouldn't you know it, there's another batch of sexy, loose moraled teens that need to be dispatched. With much more blood and gore than in the original (and most of it is nicely done), wooden acting, mullets aplenty, and hilarious odes to superior slasher icons Freddy Kruger, Jason Voorhees, and Leatherface; Sleepaway Camp 2 doesn't take itself too seriously, which is a good thing, and makes it all the more enjoyable. There would be another sequel to boot, but it was hardly any fun.
0.25 STARS: Unhappy Horrorman after watching this movie........2006-09-17
Horror movies used to be known as such because they were scary or instilled people with fear. Fear of a villain or evil was usually the source...classic horror movies like "The Shining", "Halloween", "Psycho", "The Omen", and "The Exorcist" are great examples of such films. Then, along came the advent of films like "Sleepaway Camp II", films that shall we say, did not take themselves very seriously. Frankly, I prefer the former to the latter. Perhaps, I'm in the minority though as I see that "Sleepaway Camp II- Unhappy Campers" gets high reviews from most reviewers.
The first "Sleepaway Camp" was not very good to begin with, but it did have a sense of darkness to it...a sense of creepiness about it that allowed the film to elicit some, albeit, rather pedestrian horror in the viewer. "Sleepaway Camp II- Unhappy Campers" does not have the same atmosphere or goals as its predecessor. In fact, what you really have in "Sleepaway Camp II" is a movie where Angela kills the "bad campers", e.g. the sex-crazed teens, drug users, tattle-tales, etc., etc. Of course, Angela takes things too far, and things catch up with her. Pamela Springsteen comes across as this cute girl who wouldn't hurt a fly, but she is so dangerous according to this movie as Angela. Frankly, I don't believe Angela is physically capable of hurting a fly as she is portrayed in this movie which makes this movie all the more ridiculous. Her actions and disposition do not fit the brutality of these crimes. For example, she swings about as hard a tee-baller when she chops off some guy's head with a machete. I mean do you really think a girl like that could get away with, much less conduct such vicious murders...it just doesn't fly in my book folks. In fact, it's ridiculous. Indeed, the movie is just laughable when you think about it, but maybe that's what the creators were after in this crap. "Sleepaway Camp II" really is more of a comedy than a horror movie no matter how you look at it. In fact, there is nothing horrifying about this movie.
Admittedly, I was mildly entertained while watching this joke of a flick. For all of its flaws, it is kind of funny in a pathetic kind of way. However, I love horror movies and that's what I want to watch, and you don't get that in this flick...period! What you do get is horrendous acting, incredulous plot, unrealistic kills, plenty of mullets (I like T.C.'s the best) and a whole helluva a lot of cheese. If you like this kind of thing, good for you as you will have a great time. As for me, I will continue to enjoy the likes of "The Shining" and "The Exorcist", and maybe one day, I will come upon another diamond in the rough like "Black Christmas". Then again, if any of the last few movies that I've watched for the first time are any indication of the selection of what's out there, I may be looking for an awfully long time. "Sleepaway Camp II- Unhappy Campers" does not instill me with a lot of confidence in the reviewers' taste for what constitutes a good horror movie.
Why did it take me so long to find out about Sleepaway Camp?...........2006-09-04
After seeing only parts 1 and 2 of this series, I honestly think that SLEEPAWAY CAMP is THE finest example of the slasher subgenre. First of all, its a franchise with at least 3 sequels, it spanned the 1980's, its fairly cheesy, and best of all, Angela, the series "Jason/Freddy" type killer is completely unique because she/he is a transvestitte who's story, while completely over the top and very unlikely to ever happen, is actually a really good reason for someone to go out and kill people. I mean, think about it, if you were a child with gay "parents" and you saw your father and sister killed by reckless teenagers and then, as a boy, were raised as a "girl" by a freaky aunt who behaves as if she's in a high school theatre production you'd be screwed up hardcore. To complicate matters, at fourteen, your crazy aunt sends you away to a trashy camp for kids populated by snotty bitches, perverts, and man bullies who pick on you at every chance. Then you fall in love with a nice boy, but WHAT CAN YOU DO? your a guy, you probabley think all of those mean girls are hot, but you don't want to screw up a chance at a nurturing, healthy relationship that you've needed all your life. So after the pressures of killing your enemies in a psychotic rage, you decide to see if the guy who likes you can really like the real you, and after his bad reaction to your secret, you snap completely, kill him and are arrested. To me that sounds like a better reason for a spree than being "pure evil" like Freddy or Michael Myers, or because your just a zombie like Jason, or because you want revenge over some petty misdeed that happened years ago like the guys in movies like "Prom Night" or "the Prowler". In SC 2, Angela has gotten a job as a camp counselor after a sex change and rehabilitation. Of course thats a stupid thing to do. The thing is, all Angela wants is to be normal and healthy. She also wants the campers to never take their normal and healthy lives for granted. When she goes on another spree, its because after all her years of "readjustment" and thinking positive and "opening up and not being so damn shy" she is still being pushed around by the same snotty, undeserving brats that tormented her at camp arawak. My favorite thing in this movie is when Angela is fired and Molly finds her at the cabin and tries to comfort her and Angela is all "There was a boy that I didn't get along with once, I fixed him...I drowned him". I wholeheartedly recommend this film to slasher fans because of the excessively human killer and the great montage of gorey deaths, nudity, humor, and fantastic one-liners, which all combined is usually absent in slasher movies.

Still Ok.......2007-06-17
While this movie isn't as good as Sleepaway Camp 2, it's still more than passable horror-comedy. The kills still don't feel cliched, the Angela character is still quirky and downright wierd, and the camp of choice is clueless again. The concept of the movie doesn't really work for me--gathering rich and poor kids together to teach them to get along and such, but it's not so bad that it's distracting. Try Sleepaway Camp 2 first, and if you like that one a lot, then maybe give this one a shot afterwards (the first Sleepaway camp was a different type of movie altogether).
Weakest of the three movies but enjoyable........2007-05-01
Angela (Pamela Springstein) is still on the loose just waiting to go to another camp where she can torture, torment and murder bad campers and naughty counselors with any possible weapon around.
The 3rd installment of the "Sleepaway Camp" trilogy is truly weak but has some good kills here like the firecracker shoved up a guy's face and a buried body with the head sticking out of the ground and getting slaughtered by a lawnmower. I definitely digged the sexy Asian chick in this movie especially her incredible topless scene, hubba hubba :)! i'm hoping the upcoming 4th movie will be an improvement over this one.
The DVD has a good transfer and good sound quality with decent extras like still gallery, deleted scenes and gore footage, audio commentary, trailer and behind the scenes footages & outtakes.
TEENAGE WASTELAND is truely an awful movie and it's the MPAA's fault!.......2007-02-27
Okay, the first SLEEPAWAY CAMP was a nice little Horror flick. It came out during a time when Slasher movies were becoming popular (FRIDAY THE 13th), so SLEEPAWAY CAMP didn't try to hide the fact it was pretty much a "copy cat." The plot is much different compared to FRIDAY THE 13th but it still has the whole Summer camp theme. Anyways, it spawned a pretty good sequel, which went the "Horror Comedy" rout that was popular in the mid 1980's Horror scene. The sequel wasn't nearly as enjoyable as the first but at least it felt like an honest movie, unlike this tired mess TEENAGE WASTELAND. When I was younger, I watched this movie and couldn't help but feel like the movie cheated me. Most of the gory scenes seemed lacking and alot of the deaths were done off camera. Needless to say, I was pretty dissapointed because I enjoyed the other two films so much. Later on down the road (when I was much older) I decided to watch the movie again and then learn about it's production afterwords. As it turns out, TEENAGE WASTELAND came out during a time when the MPAA was coming down on the Horror movie business with an iron fist! Most Horror movies that came out during the late 80's were seriously edited and most of the footage was either scrapped or lost over the years. Now, if you buy the SLEEPAWAY CAMP box set you can see all the scrapped scenes the MPAA thought was too "over the top" for (shockingly enough) a Horror movie! After watching all the bloody and gory scenes they cut out (believe me, they're really nasty!), I am at the conclusion that TEENAGE WASTELAND would have been a much better movie with them left in it. Sadly, you can't watch these scenes in the actual movie. Only through the deleted scenes on the "extras" part of the DVD. Thank goodness Horror movies today (when out on DVD) come with the option to buy the rated or unrated versions. That way, the footage isn't lost and the movie is seen the way it was ment to be viewed. The actual movie SLEEPAWAY CAMP 3 - TEENAGE WASTELAND isn't anything amazing. Basically it's about the psychotic chick/dude from the first two movies coming back to Sleepaway Camp. It would seem that she can't get enough of killing people just because they sin or whatever. Anyways, the series isn't anywhere near the wonders of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET or HELLRAISER. It's basically just a cheap excuse to put a bunch of hot teenagers in the same camp, kill them off in horrible ways (there is a funny scene where this one guy gets a fire cracker shoved up his nose) and then roll the credits. I don't personally have anything against Slasher movies such as that but when the MPAA sticks it's big ugly nose in and edits things for the sake of "America's youth" or whatever, things start to go down hill. So on an end note, TEENAGE WASTELAND could have been enjoyable but ends up being a dud, thanks mainly to the MPAA. Gore houngs might want to pick up a DVD copy just to see the edited scenes. Everyone else won't know whats going on, won't really care whats going on and won't remember what the movie was about. If you think your one of those type of people, ignore this movie and move on to something else. Come to think of it, what are you doing reading my review!?!
More like "waste of film".......2007-02-01
I have watched a lot of horror movies in my lifetime. There are some great and original films in this genre, and there are some that are just plain terrible. This movie definitely falls into the 'terrible' category.
I don't remember watching the first of the sequel. I didn't pay to watch this movie, and it was like watching a vhs tape so i fast forwarded through a lot of it cuz i figured i'd just 'waste' less time. I can't believe Bruce Springsteen's sister acts in this. He must be humiliated by it as she can't act! The acting overall, as in many of the camper type horror movies, is horrendous! Got 90 minutes to "waste"? Like stupid horror movies with really bad acting? Then by all means, watch this stinker.
However, Angela(the killer and The Boss's sis) certainly found some very interesting and original ways to kill people. Also, the scene where she is fishing and pulls up a hockey mask is sort of funny, as I'm sure it was meant to be. It seemed fitting and almost makes this film look like more of a spoof of the genre as opposed to an actual scary movie.
The acting is terrible, all the characters are morons, but wait there's more! If you like nudity, you will at least get to see some half naked women.
I am still willing to give the first 'sleepaway camp' a viewing after hearing that it's a good horror movie
Angela is like the "Borat" of the 80's.......2007-01-08
Like millions of other kids, as a teen growing up in the 90's I loved all of the "Sleepaway Camp" movies. Because each movie was entertaining, and somewhat over-the-top. "Sleepaway Camp III - Teenage Wasteland" is no exception and probably the best picture from this trilogy. It's also probably one of the best examples of a teen 80's/90's kitschy horror picture.
"Sleep away Camp III" has it all, hot girls, a friendly yet sadistic murderer, and lots of blood! "Sleepaway Camp III" finds Angela Baker (Pamela Springsteen) back in the woods. This time Angela reinvents herself as a misfit from the inner city so she can blend in with the other campers.
Lilly (Sandra Dorsey) and Herman Miranda (Michael J. Pollard) have turned the former campgrounds (of "Sleepaway Camp II") into "Camp New Horizons." Lilly is a lazy old bag that doesn't want to move, she's just in it for the money and publicity. And Herman is a disgusting old letch that enjoys playing hide the weasel with one of the female campers. Suffice it to say, when Angela found out about this she isn't very happy...
Angela is actually a very sweet girl on the surface. She enjoys camping and working with others, and really enjoys camp games and the outdoors. She just get's really ticked off when people do stupid things. So what does Angela do? She simply kills them in a very inventive way. For example, Lilly got her head mowed over with a lawn mower.
Comcast recently added "Sleepaway Camp III" to their new "FEARnet" section of on-demand movies so I got to watch it again and got a good laugh at all of the kooky antics of the campers. My favorite camper (besides Angela, of course) is Snowboy (Kyle Holma.) Snowboy is a fool that enjoys spraying others with his spraypaint can.
In a way, Angela is like the "Borat" of the 80's because she exposed a lot of stupidity and narrow-mindedness among teens. As Angela said, "just taking care of business..."

Not too bad.......2006-10-03
The Mullet factor in this movie propells it from 2 to 3 stars. This movie is your typical 80's slasher flick that adds some well placed humor to some very bloddy scenes. Pam Springsteen is good in the movie and actually makes this movie work.
As one would expect most people die but it is definitely worth watching how creative Pam S. is in killing them. All in all this movie is worth watching but beware that this is part 2 in a 3 part series so you should watch 1 and 3 to fully appreciate the entire story.
Entertaining sequel to one of the greatest slasher movies of all time!.......2006-03-05
When I put this DVD in, I wasn't really expect much. All I expected was a crappy sequel to a really great film, since alot of slasher sequels aren't that good. Well, I was pleasantly suprised because what I got was a highly enjoyable late 80's horror cheesefest that all fans of corny slasher flicks can appreciate.
Basically, the plot revolves around a group of kids at a camp called Rolling Hills, which is apparently 60 miles from Arawak. Well, it turnes out that Angela did her time at the mental hospital and has had a sex change operation (She used to be a boy) and is apparently "cured". Haha. Boy, were the counselors that hired her wrong. Pretty soon, kids begin to start missing. Angela claims that she's sent them home for behaving badly, when really, she's been brutally murdering them in painful, gruesome ways. No one knows this, and of course, they believe her when she tells them she sent 'em home. Well, when more and more kids keep getting "sent home", the camp counselors get suspicious and fire Angela. Of course, Angela runs off into the forest and to the abandoned cabin where she likes to hang out. One of the remaining teenagers decides that she wants to try and cheer her up, and grabs her boyfriend and has him help her. Well, when they reach Angela's hangout spot, they soon find out her disgustingly horrible secret and now both of their lives are in danger. Will they make it out alive? Watch the movie and find out, damn it!
Well, there's a run-down of the main premise of this short, but incredibly entertaining bloodfest. Now, the story is really quite absurd. Wouldn't they check Angela's records or something before hiring her as a staff member? In real life, yes, they would have and they would have NEVER have hired her...unless they were total and complete idiots, of course. But, luckily, these counselors are idiots and we get to have a fun time watching Angela "weed out the bad kids"! The gore scenes in here weren't very graphic, but then again, the gore scenes weren't too graphic in the first one, either. You see, they didn't NEED to be gorey! And neither do the deaths in here!
Oh, and if you're looking for some T&A, there's plenty of it in here. Right after the beginning credits, we see one of the young teenage girls topless because she says she likes to sleep in the nude. And there's one that just likes to act like a complete [hooker]to impress her friends and the guys, and one of the best sex scenes ever filmed happens to be in here. Yes, the sexual stuff is pretty pointless, but this is a SLASHER FILM. Most slasher films have a little bit of nudity or sex in them, to attract their younger male target audience. And of course, the girls are treated to a couple of muscular guys without any shirts on a couple of times.
The acting is pretty average in here, but it's better than the performances in the first film. Pam Springstein is amazing as Angela, and I personally think she's much much better than Felissa Rose. I love the way she portrays our favorite transvestite serial killer. When she murders, she doesn't think twice about it. She just acts like it's some every day thing, and just...does it. There's no other way to explain it, she just kills 'em. Only a couple of the murders have build up to them, and yeah, I do wish there had been more build-up in this one like in the first, but oh well. I still had a great time watching this, so that doesn't matter.
Overall, this isn't as good as the first one, but for some reason, it's far more entertaining.
Reccomended for a Saturday night rental. Or you can just buy it if it's really really cheap, like I did. Don't forget to pop a ton of popcorn to go with it!
Sleepaway Camp 2: Unhappy Campers.......2005-09-08
Sequel to the 1983 cult classic "Sleepaway Camp". If you are not familar with the first movie it is a must see! (See my review.)
This installment takes place five years after the grisly murders at Camp Arawak. We are now at Camp Rolling Hills and Angela is BACK! She has escaped from an asylum and has shown up as a camp counselor. Everything has to be "perfect" for her, and you will find out if you break the rules you will get punished!
Lots of gore to delight the horror fan. If you liked the first movie I would highly suggest seeing this one.
bad bad bad.......2005-08-10
this movie is such a waste of time you definately will want to see it!!bruce springsteen must be so embarrassed!
Classic cheesy horror with Mullets.......2005-08-09
The chick on the cover isnt in the movie at all lets just get that out of the way. This movie is just plain fun, lots of boobs, counselors and campers with serious mullets and really bad effects makeup. the continuity is lacking and so is the writing for that matter BUT I LOVE THIS MOVIE> because I love the "campy" aspect no pun intended. Angela is back on this movie but this time she isnt the wallflower quiet camper that secretly kills her fellow campers and the staff, no this time around she is UBER-COUNSELOR!!! She sings Kum-bay-yah and tries to keep her cabin full of girls(who are to freaking old to be campers) from losing thier shirts, literally, at all moments of the day. She clashes with other staff members because she sticks to the rules, and she Kills when she sees them being broke, She is the "angel of death" only slaughtering those who deserve to be killed. Angela practically skips through each murder with a giant grin and a biting humorous line or two. You want these brats to get offed, especially Allie the wet t-shirt, nappy-headed slut. This film outdoes the first one by a mile, so go rent a cabin, eat s'mores, grab your deep woods off and have a good time with this one!

Stupid entertainment........2006-03-05
Basically, the killer Angela has returned and is killing off all of the bratty girls and boys while they are setting up camp.
This film puts the 'camp' in Sleepaway Camp. Pure, cheeseball entertainment. It's worth the 5 bucks that's being charged!
Sleepaway Camp 3: Teenage Wasteland.......2005-09-08
This is the 3rd installment to the "Sleepaway Camp" series and you guessed it Angela is back. If you are unfamilar with this series see my reviews.
We left off last time at Camp Rolling Hills where Angela went on her killing spree! Now the camp has been sold to Herman and Lilly Miranda and they have re-opened it as "Camp New Horizonz".
This time we bring together inner city kids with the high class teens to begin a lesson on learning how to cope with one another. Sharing in the wonders of the great outdoors.
It doesn't take long before Angela starts to repeat her history and the murders begin. Will anyone but Angela survive this time...
Again the gore does not let down our horror fans and Angela finds new ways to off her victims.
If you enjoyed the first two movies you have to see this one. I will say the first is my favorite with a unsuspected ending! That is a must see!
You need to see the true meaning and beyond the funny stupidity!.......2005-09-01
I woke up at 3 in the morning and turned on HBO and watched this and the clever Angela Baker is Back! Ohhhhhh I'm a happy camper! She returns back to the depressing camp And got more good kills but there are some scenes with her flash backs to let you know how she became this way! You must think I'm an idiot for giving it 4 stars but early in the morning, it could have a BIG affect on you!!!!

Product Description
This DVD set includes the three Sleepaway Camp classics. SLEEPAWAY CAMP 1 - What superficially appears to be an ordinary '80s horror flick is actually, upon deeper inspection, something much more bizarre. Hints of incest, transsexuality, and homoeroticism lie beneath the surface in this story of a summer camp where employees and campers start dropping like flies. History has lumped this into the "HALLOWEEN/FRIDAY THE 13TH rip-off" category, which is an oversight. SLEEPAWAY CAMP 2 - Angela's back in this sequel to the 1983 cult favorite. It's five years later and the grisly murders that terrorized Camp Arawak have become the favorite ghost story around Camp Rolling Hills. Unfortunately for these campers, Angela (Pamela Springsteen, sister of Bruce), the woman behind those murders, is now a counselor at Camp Rolling Hills who is eager to reprimand any of the naughty young campers who breaks her rules. Full of gratuitous nudity, bad haircuts, and worse dialog, SLEEPAWAY CAMP 2 is an entertaining sequel, though it is much different than the creepy original. SLEEPAWAY CAMP 3 - Angela returns once again in this third installment of the popular SLEEPAWAY CAMP series. Here, Angela joins Camp New Horizon, an organization that brings rich and poor teenagers together for a weekend of sharing, after she kills a look alike and takes her place. It isn't long before the other campers begin ridiculing Angela and history begins to repeat itself. Just as entertaining as the second film in the series, TEENAGE WASTELAND follows the lead of its predecessor and places the emphasis on campy fun, gore, and gratuitous nudity rather than the creepy atmosphere of the original.
