5 STAR DRAMA.......2003-08-20

This film is a gem that has only been seen by those in the festival circuits and frequent customers of the specialty urban shelves of Block Buster and Hollywood Video stores. It stars REDMAN in his acting debut as well as vet action star RON VAN CLIEF and other notables such as BROADWAY STAR BILLY PORTER and R&B DIVA DELUX CERYL PEPSII RILEY just to name a few. Despite it's indie styled camera work, the film flows with ease and oozes with potential in terms of it's incredible soundtrack and underscore. This fine film belongs in your collection.

Indie Sleeper Hit.......2003-08-09

This was a good movie that speaks the truth about racial difference as it exists in today's society. Redman was good as Trevor and the actor Ali was excellent as the angry black man with a mission. The original music was as soulful as anything we have seen in the last ten years. Good movie.

Solid!.......2003-01-02

I can't believe Redman was in this movie and I never heard about it and that Def Jam didn't help blow it up cause it was a real nice movie with good performances from him and Queen Pen who had a small but nice part.

Impressive Debut.......2002-12-20

I found this film after doing some research on Urban films with a focus on racial prejudice and have to admit was not expecting to see a "Real" story unfold before my eyes. Knowing that a few rappers such as Redman was cast in the film, I expected to see a simple minded exploitive stereo-typical rapper film. Instead rather I was impressed to see genuine heart and soul being displayed both in the film and in the music. This film is one o those rare gems that people will discover years from now. I'm glad to be in on it now. Much love to all mankind.

SERIOUS DRAMA.......2002-11-28

As a film critic, I have to tell you that Colorz Of Rage is an inspirational film that speaks of the seemingly never changing plague known as racism. I was asked to watch this film by one of my students at a middle school I teach at. She was literally crying about an interracial relationship she is involved in. In Colorz Of Rage, Dale Resteghini tackles the subject with a true story told with complete passion and honesty and challenges us as a people to recognize what not has the white man does for us lately but what have we done for ourselves. He points blame at no one but lets us point it at ourselves. Racism on all levels is an atrocity and should not ever be tolerated. I believe that his abitlity to tell such a touchy subject with an array of complicated characters and shooting in several cities was worthy of the Grand Jury Best Film at Sundance award, an award that it did not receive but should have. If you look at the films that competed in 1999 none have gone on to accomplish what Colorz Of Rage has both from a financial stand point or career stand pointr for the director.
